Sorry, I'm new to the mall pick up scene. I will be in Jakarta soon. I'll be around Pasaraya mall most of the time. Has anyon had success in picking up ladies at Pasaraya? If so is there a certain part of the mall to go to, or things to notice? When I get there, I'll be sure to give a report here. Thanks.

There are definitely some girls who are on the hunt in Pasaraya. Several were pointed out to me by one of my Indo girlfriends. They seem to roam around the area at the Coffee Shop near one of the entrances (Starbucks?), and the Food Court. If they fancy you they’ll seek eye contact and smile invitingly.

However, I don’t know whether they are working girls or girls looking for a steady relationship with a foreigner to improve their lives. She just commented that they were 'girls looking for Bule.'

If you want to score a working girl go to Atrium Mall in Senen. Lots of opportunities there. Mind you, most of these girls don't speak English.

Samchad, like El Culion I've run across pros in and around the Food Court at Pasaraya. Also a few in an internet cafe where some working girls run their traps prior to hitting the bars and karaokes in Blok M. I could tell because they were alone or in groups of two, sometimes dressed a little on the slutty side, and would smile back when you smile at them. In that area though, I much prefer Hotel Melawai massage during the daytime and the bars on Jalan Falatehan late at night. But then I've only got about a 200 word vocabulary in Bahasa Indonesia, and much prefer shooting fish in a barrel to sport fishing.

Chad[/QUOTE]Well if you are in the area you can try the Blok M Mall beside Pasaraya, it is under the Bus Terminal, also there is Melawai Plaza just behind Pasaraya and also close by the Blok M Plaza.

All these are possibilities. As a contributor pointed out the internet cafe below the Pasaraya food court ( beside Ace Hardware ) can be fruitful.

Thanks for the pointers on Pasaraya mall. I'll check out the internet cafe. It sounds like the easiest spot to spot a pickup. I'll make a report when I get a chance to try it out.

If you go to Pasaraya or other malls you can definitely pick up girls. There are working girls but also normal students that like orang bule. I'm not sure what a babu face is. But I do know that the local indonesians will find girls attractive only because they are tall or have white skin that I think are mediocre. While they will think girls are not attractive with dark skin that I think are fantastically hot looking. I find the indonesian "actresses" to be fairly plain for the most part. But the indos go gaga over them.

I was recently in cj's and an indian guy was with me. He didn't like any of the girls in there even though there were alot of nice ones. Then in walks this tall white skinned girl who was somewhat chubby and had a big nose. That was the one he was attracted to. I thought he was nuts thinking she was nicer than the other girls, but I noticed all the arabic and indian guys where throwing themselves at this girl. I wouldn't have thrown her out of bed, but there were at least 20 better looking girls than her in that bar that night.

To identify mall girls, make sustained eye contact and smile. Regularly girls may make some eye contact but when it gets uncomfortable they turn away. If you see someone making a lot of eye contact just talk to them. Be aware that many of these girls speak no English.
