But even with limited space in my bag I did allow for a electric hair trimmer. I give myself a buzz cut every few weeks without having to hunt down a barbershop. I guess the bonus for me is no lice can latch onto my head since I have little hair for them to hide in.

However, do call and double-check which amenities are open (and guest policies), regardless of what you read or see online. As AsianPursuits points out, airbnb has become junky. All of the booking sites, including Agoda, Booking dot com, airbnb, and so on, have been gutted during Covid; they don't check the actual content of the advertised units. Just look at the large number of airbnb condo units that show as available on your dates, but are off the market (and have been since the pandemic start); the owners have simply not de-activated the listing. Same goes for hotels on Agoda and such, the hotel might have been closed since the start of covid, but on the booking sites it has always shown as open. Again alternately, the hotel has now re-opened, complete with nice pics (pool! Gym!) and description that has not changed since pre-covid times, yet the hotel's facilities have been closed or are extremely limited. That nice pool on top of CGG is probably closed, as will be their gym (as per DOH). MAYBE. You don't get those details on Agoda, you get updates by calling the hotel yourself. BUT, BUT, AGODA SAYS THE ROOM IS GOOD FOR THREE PERSONS / THE POOL IS OPEN / THE GYM IS OPEN. "Sorry po, this is pandemic". Get used to hearing "Sorry po". Call your hotel before you reserve, and then 24-48 hours prior to arrival, and ask 2 things: 1) What is your 'guest' policy? And 2) What ammenities are open?

I was able to get (delayed) refunds without argument at that time. That notice ran for about 3 months. A new notice popped up, such as: "As of August 1 (or similar date), airbnb will no longer refund due to Covid restrictions". The hint was that you should cancel your upcoming reservation prior to Aug 1 and get a full refund. After that date, they stopped refunding money due to local Covid restrictioins.

Airbnb also got hit with a shortage of staff (as they explained to me when I complained that they were taking weeks between responses to my requests for refunds). They were nearly worthless because of the delays. Egregious owner-tenent disagreements went unanswered for weeks. Even later, into 2021, sometimes I contacted airbnb when I thought an owner was violating the TOS. Typical reply times could be 5-10 days; too long to consider renting from that owner. In one of my complaints with airbnb, they said they were shorthanded and backed up from the pandemic.

For freelancers that get up and dance as if in a nightclub, then Lips and Saharat (see my previous reports for more info) would be the place to go.

I don't see that much of a difference in prices between AC and Makati (I was there two weeks ago), only comparing Walking street with P. Burgos street, both places the bar fines I experienced were between 3. 5-4 K and the ladies tended to quote roughly the same when dealing with freelancers in both places, the only big difference is the choice in options, with Walking street in AC having more than four times the number of venues open than currently available in P Burgos street.

Having said that, I am seeing an increase in the amount of available ladies in the venues that are open in P Burgos, and also I have heard that several new venues are planning to open over the coming weeks, things are very slowly starting to feel a "little" bit like the old days.

New soon to be Manila monger here. I have travelled to other countries (HK, Thailand, Brazil) for our hobby before the pandemic so I have reasonable experience in this hobby. I'm going to Manila for the first time in 3 weeks. After reading the advice here I am lining updates from DIA. It seems to be working well. One common theme I'm seeing with the ladies is the ones that are keen to play all claim to unable to have babies and want no condoms. This is sounding alarm bells for me. So my question is, is this some type of potential scam to get pregnant and get money from a guy?

For me when I said I didn't see much difference in the cost between AC and P. Burgos street, I am only going from my recent experience in both, typically I would agree what service I am after and then promise a good tip to hopefully get what I agreed and also a good service. So, I would generally say to the lady, I want sex 2 times, once in the night and again in the morning, and depending on how late it was you might have to specify morning as not before 10 am (for example; if you go back at 3 am and the lady wants to leave at 7 am which has happened to me before, then I feel short changed). So, what I tend to do is offer them 2 K as a tip (the amount is not always communicated) and if they want to leave early or come up with some excuse to not have a second round then I dock them some or most of their promised tip. My approach doesn't always work, but I find that you do need to be specific up front before you barfine her, if for example you want more than one round, or hope to have some sleep and then wake up with the lady for round 2, this should be agreed before committing on the barfine.

I haven't tried recently just barfining a lady and taking them to a short term hotel / room, so a single pop for short time might be covered in the barfine, I don't know.

You are right about the total cost coming up on 6 K, but then again it doesn't take much effort to run up a similar bar bill entertaining a (couple) of ladies trying to figure out how horny you are and who you want to barfine.

The cheaper option in both areas is to get the number of the lady and make arrangements to meet outside of the bar, but that generally takes a little time, and you might have to barfine the lady first in order to get her to part with her direct number.

Philippines is the one where girls do not insist on condoms whether working girls or dating girls. It is not a scam. There are instances where they could claim paternity but impossible to prove. If you are thinking of making a baby and importing them to your country it is an uphill battle.

Better cover up if you are afraid. You might possibly save yourself health wise also.

Pre-pandemic a Burgos girl would be 3900 BF (non inclusive) and she would expect a tip of at least 3000 for long time, more likely 4 or even 5 k. AC Walking Street would be 3500 (inclusive). If (and it's big if. One shot runners are common) she stayed until morning and was a good time I would give a several hundred peso tip. Tips are not mandatory though. I have given zero after poor performance without repercussions.

At the other end of the market, street walkers can be had for 500-1000ST in both. Just don't expect quality or GFE.

I was getting the feeling that fun times on Burgos were over forever with so many bars going out of business.

But last night I had a great time at a new bar. I am embarrassed to say that I forgot the name but it's just a couple doors down from the nautically themed one, which was not so great. (Maybe the new one replaced Coyote or Rascals, which were getting pretty sad).

It has a gold door and is nicely renovated inside, unlike most of the run down bars prior to the pandemic. Lots of sexy pretty girls wearing bikinis and the like, dancing and doing lineups. Had the feel of a good bar in Thailand. Bought drinks for a couple very attractive and friendly girls. One with a curvy figure and big boobs was very sexy an friendly. My GF wanted to bar fine a girl but I think most hotels will only allow two to a room, so didn't want to spend money for disappointment.

So the new bar with a forgotten name, five stars! Great atmosphere with lots of sexy girls available. Also lots of customers to support the scene. Hopping. Very pleasantly surprised.

In general, I see many more foreigners wandering around so seems like people are eager and successful in getting back.

Other spots.

Bourbon down the street is now a restobar. Nice atmosphere. Good place to eat. Also had tons of customers. Girls hanging out. I guess they are bargirls. But I would put them in the category of MINLF. (add "not" to MILF).

The nautically themed one at the top of the street, not so worth the visit. Decor of a dark basement. About 10-12 girls. 2-3 qualified as hot enough.

Lipps, I don't like so much. Mainly customers and waitresses / bargirls standing around. Not so much going on.

I ended up last night hanging out around at P. Cafe Cubana didn't have kitchen open at 1 am so we had a quesadillas and drinks at Jose Cuervo which is also open late. Burgos seems quiet this time compared what is was pre-pandemic still full of girls and people at 3 am.

Dimples was open across the road I guess it is one of the girlie bars open now. I saw one blond foreigner pull up a girl from there right after finishing his meal. Then also many girls leaving there alone without customers after 2 am closure.

P. Burgos even is quiet still has its vibe. And great prices at least in foods and drinks. At Jose cuervo 8 margaritas and free nachos for 888 p. I had 5 of them but didn't feel much drunk (is there really the alcohol). Although now I still have a bit headache after last night.
