Havana

I visited Havana for a few weeks many years ago (2013) and had a great time with the many beautiful Latinas.

I have been considering returning but the majority of the YouTube videos and several recent comments here on ISG.

Lead me to believe that the black hooker presence is markedly higher than when I was there.

In 2013, I estimate the black hooker presence was between 10 and 20 percent. When viewing recent (in the last year).

YoTube videos I am seeing 50+%. Is there anyone who has a similar experience?

Agree with posters. My limited experience in Havana back in March 2023 is that most girls that gave me looks, cat called, walked around the Prado's were black. And not so attractive or scary looking. And when I tried to flirts with the white girls at hotels, restaurants, bars. I did not get any response.

But I also didn't go to all of the pick up bars and some other spots recommended on this form. So I realize my experience might not be normal. I am also darker skin colors and younger looking so many they think I am Cuba and not rich white man. So YMMV!

I will be in Havana for three weeks between May and June, and need some tips, as most of the stuff is pretty outdated.

Where is the best place to stay, both for mongering and experiencing the city, I am hearing conflicting advice between old Havana and Varadero.

As far as chicas go, I always hear it's loaded with hot girls, but never where to find them, any places worth visiting in that regard?

Any recent mongers who can give me the prices so I don't get ripped off?

Is $100 per day enough for having a good time (casa excluded) + chicas?

I am planning to rent an independent casa, so bringing girls over shouldn't be a problem. If anyone can recommend a place they stayed at that would also be great.

Wow.[/QUOTE]Many of them either left Cuba or get some outside help or earn enough or are students on support from families and daddies that do not need extra side hassle cash but I am surprised to see this happen across the board as you described it. Any luck? What did other fellow travelers say? When I went to Cuba some years ago there were always bars and clubs where you could pick up the girls for about $100 a night.

I wrote two very detailed reports from my trip in October, and I can't see that habana would change that much since that time. Take time to actually READ the board.

Heard that these months were super hard on the Cubans and that many people have actually left the country, and want to know if inflation changed the prices, are there any new mongering spots etc.

The best way to approach Cuban women is to be friendly speak a little Spanish get their WhatsApp number and then converse with them from there. A little charm will get you a long way. In a way it's a very small place everyone knows everyone else and everyone likes to be discreet unlike some reports that are simply not people lined up waiting to be with you.

Cuba is a great place to visit but if you just going to find women I think this is nothing like the experience you have in other places. Of course you already know you can't use any American credit cards but you can get a Euro debit card if you want to use that otherwise money is exchanged readily and American dollars are taken of course going great for companionship is at most $100.

Any hotspots you recommend that are popular for mongering? Better to stay in old Havana or Vedado?

Some recent poster suggested that they "did not go to hotels, restaurants and bars" to pick up girls, lamenting that there were limited options on the streets. It made me think. Where are these supposed "restaurants and bars" he is thinking of? I know where the hotels are. I see the girls lurking in the shadows around the Hotel Nacional. I imagine there may also be girls near the Mejia. But specifically, speaking of bars or restaurants that attract girls? Where are they? Certainly none I can think of around Parque Central or Havana Vieja. Yes, a few girls still out on San Rafael, in the park, along el Prado, and less frequently in the Obispo area, but nothing like there used to be. If the discos are up and running again, perhaps this is what the poster is referring to. But I've never been a "disco" guy. In my last two visits I was disappointed at the lack of girls hanging out at the Malecon. That used to be a sure thing once the sun set and the people came out to party. Not much partying going on now because not many people have the pesos to play with. I'm also not seeing girls hanging out on La Rampa, though I have trolled there day and night and came up empty handed. If there is a hot spot in Havana -- bar or restaurant -- that is currently popular, could you post the name / neighborhood? I'll be there late June and I'd like to support the local economy.

This is my experience from my trip last month, of course your mileage may vary. I went in cold, no Spanish, no knowledge of Cuba. Just a cheap airfare, prebooked room from AirBnB, and cash.

After I settled in, I went for a walk. Took about an hour and I noticed someone watching me at an outdoor restaurant. Used the google translate app to pay the waitress for her, and her girlfriend's meal, cost like $15 with a nice tip, wrote down my whatsapp number, asked the waitress to give it to her. Maybe an hour later "Hola" pops up from unknown number. Google translate took care of all negotiations. This is where I will upset some of you. I deliberately overpaid, told her how much I wanted to see, and pay, her again before I leave. But that I wanted variety. Told her we would absolutely meet up again if she connected me to some friends in between. Once my number got out, the messages did not stop. I would ask for a picture with something unique about the pose to weed out the catfishes and heavily filtered pictures. Now I was in a good position to negotiate rates, and filled every night. She was upset when I ran out of time and never spent another night with her, but she got paid well. I did lose a few with the more reasonable rates, but enough agreed that it filled the trip. And every single one wanted extra for cab fare. I am nothing more than average, but every one of them treated me like royalty. Having a pile of snacks and candy in the room seemed to put them all in a good mood, that and tequila.

This is what worked for me, like I said, your mileage may vary. Everywhere else I've gone, Tinder has been gold, but in Cuba, it is a desert.
