I'm hopefully going to make it to Manila soon, and I was thinking of getting a 1-month membership to Filipino Cupid. There seem to be more girls than on DIA and frankly for the small investment it gives me more options. I also like the multiple photos.
Anyway, I have a simple question-does it work if you try to pay for FC via a prepaid visa or amex gift card? Anyone tried it?

As of now in 2013 it doesn't at least with prepaid cards purchased in the USA. Wherever you buy your prepaid card, read the packaging carefully to determine if it can be used internationally. That's the problem.
Even funding a PayPal transaction with a pre-paid card fails.
It certainly looks like DIA girls have gotten smarter. Good looking girls are putting age range as up to 30 or 35. It used to be age does not matter. Lots of girls want serious relationships. Before they did want serious relationship but up for fun all the same.

I fly Cebuanas to Manila at times to party but I trust them, I take some to other Asian countries etc, all can be trusted and that IMP is the key word, something I don't think you get by chatting on the internet.

Secondly she is so scared of left alone in spite of your promise to meet her at the airport. Thirdly she has talked with you and knows you and trusts you enough to stay with you. No, you do not send the hotel car to these girls first time. You personally meet them. You do not want hotel driver asking awkward questions to the girl. As everybody knows Phi guys are downright nosy.

But Samm's two experiences here suggest how provincial and unworldly some of these girls are. Lots of Filipinos in their 50s and more have never flown, even those who came in from the provinces to Manila 20 or 30 years ago. Major issue is cost. So a girl like this coming to meet you is perhaps going through more of a culture shock than is a first-time Westerner visiting the Philippines.
