555! a similar thing happened to a french friend of mine a few years ago in the united states. it was not a speeding ticket, but a ticket for a parking violation. the us rental company just charged his credit card too.
as it seems, there is more than only one "uncivilized country" in this world! .
so goyave,
not quite sure what we are saying here. us and france are uncivilized? what is thailand?

"The police enquired the hotel to give them the recording from security camera. Unfortunately, the hotel staff said that the camera was malfunctioned at the time and hence no recording found. The hotel staff did not photocopy the girl's I'd card either."

Pattaya News, and the TV channel also, are one the greatest source of entertainment here and abroad too.
Their use of English, the condescending opinion, the salty bits of practical information (at times) and at time their creativity are unique.
3, 500 Thai Baht cash. 2 Nokia mobile phones. 2 tourist guide books. 1 plane ticket, Altogether the amount stolen is estimated to be worth 200, 000 thb.
How can the stuff above be worth 200, 000?

It could be worth 200K baht, for instance if the plane ticket is for a first class flight.
Goyave, stolen plane tickets have no value. They are not thai bus tickets LOL.
N. 1 paper tickets almost do not exist anymore.
N. 2 even if you have a paper ticker lost or stolen, after reporting to the airline you *may* have some difficulty in getting a replacement, but you can be *damn sure* nobody else will be able to fly it.
That's true that most airlines no longer issue paper tickets. I might be wrong, but I think that a few airlines still do (though they are very likely charging a fee for a paper ticket). I agree that even a paper ticket has no value for a thief, unless it is a refundable one (and provided that the thief knows a way to get a refund or an exchange, which might be possible, I suppose, if he also stole some form of ID from his victim). I don't know for sure, and you are probably right (about the amount being inconsistent) because this story sounds very fishy to me too.
It's not a fishy story, it's just a burglary story narrated the pattayanews / Thai Police way. Taking a plane ticket at face value to increase the value of the stolen goods t0 make it a bigger news. My point is that there is a mix of cynicism and naivete that makes them irresistibly humorous in a dark sense. Like the pics of the poor guy defecating his carry of amphetamine pills in the prison showers. Whatever concept for human decency and pity they have here is very, very different than "ours".

Seriously though. Maybe this is some subtle intimidation. That is - report a crime, get your name and photo and nationality in the press as a sex tourist. I can only imagine if their families or employers decide to google them.
And how do you simultaneously drug five men? That girl had balls.
Hi Guys.
I have only just started using Viagra and while I was able to get a prescription here in Australia, it ended up costing me $20 per tab as opposed to $2 if I had been a war vet (though I am not sure that getting shot at is worth the discount!)
Are generic versions available in Pattaya. Are they effective? Any particular pharmacies to go to? What sort of cost?
You could try Kamagra tablets, or Kamagra Oral Jelly. You don't need medical prescription and can find it anywhere, in every pharmacy, expecially in the official ones. Never take more then 50 mg per day, if you don't suffer of erectile disfunction. Never buy this medicine on the streets, but only in regular pharmacies.
It seems to remember that the price of a blister of 4 Kamagra tablets. 100 mg each (to divide for one single dose) , it's about 400 bath. You can have a discount if buy great quantities.
The effect is exactly the same of Viagra.
Are there any other places that have pictures & profiles online like the Devil's Den?
I've been in Pattaya many times but don't remember another place with this kind of escort service with booking online.
And what kind of rates have you guys gotten from the girls when you've walked in without an appointment?
Better book in advance or, if not possible, go there very early, at 13:00 o'clock. If you go there during the afternoon, without booking, you'll discover that the best ladies are always busy.
Soi 6 I say to the girls 500 thb include Bar Fine? And 9 times out of 10 they say yes and go upstairs.
Absolutely false. I know very well this soi and usually pay 700 bath to the girl and 300 bath for barfine for normal performance. If it happens to make anal sex, I give her 300 bath more for incentivating this practice.
During the daytime I try and chat up locals and try to get freebies...
I think I'm a normal looking man, not particularly beautiful but interesting. In many years spent in Pattaya I can exactly remember the few girls that didn't ask me money for fucking. Freebies in Pattaya are very rare.
