The trend of pre-payment seems to be gathering momentum. Rightly or otherwise. The Mango website does not state that, but updating is not a priority to them.
The greater concern is the comment wrt service standard."Terrible" is not something that one associates with the fruit shop. Chemistry may vary between the clients and individual ladies, but there was always an expectation level that was rarely belied. Which lady under reference?

I don't think there is a trend towards pre-payment. Nothing has changed from my personal experiences.

My last visit to EZ was also terrible and I cut it short. The girl was uninterested once I chose her, although looking very interested before hand. Customer service is important. A card for a free session or even a discounted one would have made me a lot happier and would have given them a chance at keeping a customer. I got out and was lying on my back when she said,"All you want special first". She had every intention of killing time. At this point I had enough. I think all the girls at these shops, once reknown for non stop action, are trying to incorporate a long massage into what you pay for no matter what.
I think the problem is there is enough random customers coming through these places, none of them feel the need to get repeat customers, especially the girls that look halfway decent.

Some sad reports about these paying upfront, bad service places.
Most of these spots are tourist rip off joints. Do what you want, but I hope you are on here to get some good info and advice.
Avoid those places. Let many of the Japanese and Korean tourists go there and get ripped off.
Unless you know the girl or are 100% positive, don't pay upfront.
Even if it is a "pay after" place. Before you even get your clothes off, ask the girl what she will do. If she is not satisfactory, ask for another girl. All of us Forum guys probably represent about 20% of the mongers in Thailand and many places will be busy no matter what.
Last time I was in front of Thermae and was shocked, I felt like in Tokyo with a bunch of Jappos waiting outside. I have nothing against the Japanese, but in the P4P department, they are just clueless morons who overpay for everything and expect very little service. THAT also is becoming a trend.
