He also is purchasing about 300,000 barrels of oil a day from Iran. Why is he funding Iran and terrorists is a mystery. Last night Iran fired missiles at the USA consulate in Iraq. Fortunately Biden and Iran missiles didn't cause casualties.

Until there is a breakthrough in battery technology, you can forget about electric cars being the future. Coal, natural gas, and oil products can be stored. Solar and wind power has to go to a battery. And outside of the nuclear powered subs, so does nuclear. Ethanol and biodiesel are much more likely stopgap products but the land required to produce them as of now is huge. Biodiesel from algae sounded like it had great promise but could not be tapped consistently from what I read.

With better battery technology, alternative energy could be much more cost effective than fossil fuels, but we are not there yet.

Thing is the USA did the shale drilling, and Europe did not so they are stuck supporting Russia, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Venezuela. Those cautioning that supporting of oppressive regimes were drowned out by those screaming we have to save the planet.

It is a good thing all those bombs Russia is dropping are carbon neutral. Cough, cough.

Due to current highway safety regulation, the most inexpensive models are not imported to the United States.

But electric scooters and electric motorcycles are already displacing their gas powered brethren.

They don't need to sell new for less money because they outcompete in performance and maintenance costs already.

Electric cars too are slowly starting to arrive in the United States. It won't be long till they make up a significant part of vehicle sales.

There is a central California company selling an enclosed electric tricycle currently for around $8,000. It takes advantage of California Vehicle Code 313.5 enacted less than 10 years ago to legalize electric skateboards (motorized skateboards were made illegal in California back in the 1970's when the older boys in my neighborhood got in trouble putting 50 CC motors on the back of their skateboards. Jerry Brown decided that 30 mph skateboards with no brakes was a dangerous hazzard).

To be motorized in California without a need for a driver's license, no vehicle insurance, and no vehicle registration, you just need to build a single person vehicle no longer than 50 inches long with a top speed that does not exceed 20 mph. I expect there will be many competitors selling very cheap vehicles.

There just won't be nearly as much demand for oil and gas in the future. No one is eager to pour money into obvious white elephants.
