from what i am reading here it seems that a typical fields barfine is from php1500-3000+a tip of around 500-700 for lt so about $46-86? prices then almost the same as pats but of course there must be girls in pats commanding 3000+600 baht ($120) per night i just never pulled them so likewise i would probably avoid the $86 girls in ac so i will have to give a $20 / day or so edge to ac.
i keep reading about runners in ac. i never feared a runner in pats because they got paid on leaving. i guess by explicitly promising the tip for good lt service most of them can be avoided.
transport to and around pattaya was simple and cheap even for this newbie. i took the 124 baht ($4) bus there from the airport and got around quite well on the 10 baht (33 cent) buses. also everything was close together and i was able to walk to most places in a few minutes and streets were occupied 24 hours per day so i was never worried about getting jacked up. from what i read here transport in ac can be a bit more problematic with rip-off cabs rampant and even getting to fields from clark can be an adventure. that being said a quick check on google earth shows me that walking distance from macarthur to narciso is less than half a mile so walking should not be a problem as long as is it is safe to do so. if i get a centrally located hotel i should never have to walk more than 1/4 mile on fields. but then again, is it safe to do this walk at 3am?
the nudity is nice in pattaya as well although it was not as explicit as i would like. some bars had a few nude dancers doing special shows but most girls wore miniskirts albeit without any underwear. if you want a peek they usually wanted a 20 baht tip and sometimes then the peek wasn't very good. is nude dancing still banned in ac? also with a tip or lady drink in pattaya you are quite free to get grabby with the dancers. how about ac?
as for lodging i found several adequate hotels in the walking street area for around 500 baht ($16) per night. it seems that in ac it is more desirable to get quality accomodation due to the lack of a beach and the generally lower building standards there so hotel needs to run around $35 / night although i cannot find anything on fields proper for less than $55 thereby more than cancelling out the cheaper girls compared to pats.
as for english i found that many of the girls in pats spoke a smattering. i think thai will be easier to learn than tagalog and anyway and i did not have any major communication problems.
and finally cuter girls. i really like the filipina look and this is the main reason i have been considering going there. i think the average filipina is cuter than the average thai but then again i have never been to the pi and am going by girls i have known in the usa. i was able to find some thai girls that could pass for filipina (short, a little porky, round face) along with some that looked chinese, some that looked japanese, etc. so with the larger working girl population i think anyone that likes asian women should be able to find something they like. the filipinas seem more outgoing, especially from what i have seen in youtube videos. the filipinas seem to show off for the camera (like brasileiras) while the thais tend to hide from the camera.
so what can i conclude from my rambling, half-informed diatribe? 1) i like filipinas but can make due with thais; 2) considering girls, lodging, and transport cost is very close in both locations and a responsible traveller can live large at $100 / day; 3) i will probably go to ac at some point to check it out; 4) any and all ac experts please correct my mistakes here. [/quote]i don't see much difference in terms of bbbj s. i've been to pattaya maybe 12 times for an average say 3 weeks a trip, been to ac 3 times for an average stay of 3-4 days. that i think reflects the relative interest in the two places. girls are more expensive in patts but then you lose on hotels and esp food and transport both around town and getting there. the attitude of phil girls is on average much better with more unlimited rounds of sex. but other than that ac is a charmless place whereas patts is fun if flawed. the bottom line is that the reason i come to the phils is for the world class gfe on the semi pro scene which is difficult to get nowadays in thailand. but patts is one of the worst places to get such experience within phils as most of the "open minded" girls are working in bars. there is little in the way of a freelancer scene cf patts.
