Also looking for other possible long-term stay options.
I have stayed at the Wild Orchid and Royal Amsterdam and enjoyed both hotels. But both stays were for less than a week.
Any information would be helpful.

Don't know what I was thinking doing it that way but I wished I would have been there for New Years. Aside from the traffic I had a blast. I met a MILF online who was basically my wife for the whole time. I t was my first time there so I wanted to be with someone I could trust. I am looking forward to going again. Women there are hot and very friendly. One could pick up a regular girl there easy.

You have to visit few places in PHI if you stay a month as oppose to a BKK / Pattaya combo in Thailand. If you do a month long trips then Pattaya is the way to go. As far as bang for your buck there is very little difference when you add price of food / accommodation, transport (airfares are generally cheaper to Bangkok then AC, keep that in mind).
Service depends on your negotiating skills, the mood of the girl, the attitude you have towards the girl, luck. You name it.
I was in Pattaya Monday through Wednesday this week and for the first time ever I could not wait to get out of town. I picked up a nice dancer from Alcatraz and after bar hopping with her and spending a fair bit of cash on her friends we went back into my room and she could not stop complaining about you name it. The aircon, the tv, the noise that the fridge was making LOL. Service was pathetic and I turned what was supposed to be a LT into ST very quickly. Same thing happened from 2 other bars on walking st and this is in the course of 2 nights and we are talking barflies that happened 11 pm +. I have NEVER had this happen in AC. The only good thing I can report about my Pattaya trip is Soi 6 is still great during the day and next time that is where I will be hanging around. I have had enough of the Walking St circus. Give it few years and Walking St will turn into another Bangala road with tourist attractions and tourist show rip offs rather than sex tourism Mecca. My own take is that for the relative newbie Pattaya is a much better bet in terms of the whole package inc food accommodation, choice things to do etc. However Pattya has changed probably for the worse over the last 10 years and many such as McDn have become jaded in which case AC is worth a try, however it's not a place to stay long term IMHO, a week is enough IMHO. If you have more time than theat bettter combine it with another destination.
Fellow forum members, I read recently that there will be direct flights operating from Singapore to AC in early next year. 2011. What that means is that there will be generally an influx of Singaporean hopping over to AC to enjoy the "fruits of passion".
My questions are:
(1) given the relative behavior of Singaporeans on weekends (over in Batam where they grabbed everything that moves and inflated mongering prices) , is AC ready for them?
(2) given a new source of patron for the mongering industry in AC, would that translate to better accommodation and facilities in AC to cater to the rather "picky" new crowd?
(3) what about the regular mongers to AC, and you the local experts? How do you feel about the new development?
I am just thinking out loud (with not punt intended to offend anyone). I hope some members here might want to share their opinion and maybe even suggestion based on your experience.

I have not checked any others.
It does not seem to have made a noticeable difference so far. The reason being that they can still get to Batam much quicker than to PI. Even if it is direct. At least, that is my take on it.

[/QUOTE]Sure, there are a few Singaporeans enjoying AC, but not in sufficient numbers to impact the market in anyway. They already have Batam only a stone's throw away (in addition to OT and Geylang) , so the majority don't need to fly all the way to AC.
Tiger Airways is catering more towards Pinoy DH (maids aka Domestic Helpers) working in Singapore, other budget travellers who don't feel like forking out the extra $$ for the mainstream carriers that fly into NAIA and then possibly hobbyist like ourselves whose international flights terminate at SIN (and need another flight to MNL or CRK).

[/quote]i flew from angeles to singapore in october and the tiger airways flight was 90% full and 40% of the passengers were singaporean.
most of the singaporean sex tourists go to either the riau islands (batam, etc.) or dongguan.

Keep in mind Singapore is a country of only five million or so, so I really don't think Singaporean mongers will make a dent in the AC mongering scene.

I would hope so, but again, look the Koreans that go to AC. They open up dumpholes like the Tiger Hotel and Sun Moon, both low budget cheapies. I would love it if a Singaporean opened up a proper hotel in AC. AC has some of the worst hotel choices of any city I have been to in the world, especially once you factor in the prices for the value of the room. Besides, Singapore is a great city for mongering, in some ways I think it's a better mongering destination than AC; it deinitely has better looking girls and better variety. Who would choose Pinays over beautiful Chinese girls?
Actually, now that I think about it, the only two things that make AC better than Singapore are the cheaper prices, and the bareback services. Singapore is better in every other way!

thank you very much for your feedback. i guess the singaporeans will not cause a lot of change in ac. we will still have some reasonable hotels and some "dump" to look forward too and streets that resembles some old "wild west" towns. lol.
great to hear this as this will mean another trip to ac in 2011 should be in the pipeline, on top of my annual trip to pattaya. hmmmm now i will need to do some more serious reading on the ac trend for latest fr from experts on this forum.
