Please specify dollars or reals. I'd like to know about the rates in Rio, Salvador, and Fortaleza. I know Rio is much more expensive than the northeast. Also, I am older so I will probably have to pay more than a younger guy. Just a general ballpark figure will do, but please be realistic. In 2003 I was 18 days in Fortaleza. I must admit that Fortaleza was the wrong choice for me, too few black girls, almost only Morenas and white girls.

Last Saturday night, 23 February, the police was invading the clubs in the Iracema area. Something like 30-50 policemen, some of them riding horses, was raiding first Zipi Bar, then storming into Europa Bar, Bikini and Titanic. Some police dressed civil with camcorders was filming the guests. I believe there also was a TV team present.

I was lucky to be warned just shortly before, as I weared no documents. Rapidly paying my bar tap, and managed to go away into a dark side street, with my girl. Just seconds after, two policemen was blocking also this street. All taxis with passengers out of the area was controlled at the Rua dos Tabajaras, just after Habana Cafe.
