"Luis Cordero N217 y 10 de Agosto" Luis Cordero is a street name as is 10 de Agosto. N217 is a number address that you will find above the door usually stamped on a small metal sign. Listed as it is, the place is actually on Luis Cordero with 10 de Agosto a nearby cross street. Others here can confirm that but that's how I remember it.

Guys from the Quito forum I want to thank you all for great info and help with questions. I did not post about my visit because I didn't really think I had much new information but I will post anyway later this weekend and maybe something of interest will be seen by a reader. I do have a question for you guys down there, how are things with the new president? The non-pros we got to know did not seem too impressed but I could not figure out why.

Hey BL - that's correct. It's number N217 Luis Cordero and the closest cross street is 10 de Augusto. There are a coupple of maps on the web but these are for Meriscal Sucre which is easy to navigate because the streets are laid out in a grid pattern. Once you get to the old part of the city, it may be a little more complicated.

When will you in Quito? I will be there in mid-June.

Locating the clubs/casas is very simple although you might be a little stressed out at first. The main avenue you need to aquaint yourself with is 10 de agosto from there the little streets off to the side will lead you to the addresses. The best thing to do would be to show someone a address on paper then ask them what trolley stop is the closest then ask again at the trolley stop.
You will need to take a taxi to cafe rojo and maybe a few others but if you have a map WITH trolley stations listed you'd be better off and less expensive.

Pay attention to the names of the little streets when you are walking.

casa guajira which I recommend is located on diego de almagro about 4 blocks towards 10 de deciembre away from ave. amazonas in the mariscal foch area. Other than that 10 de agosto will be your main hangout if you dont feel like paying for cabs or riding public buses.

I owe you guys a report on Quito. I've done 2 trips down there now. My views are only based on my experience there. Not trying to be disrespectful to anyone else's experience. As in life, YMMV.

Hotel
I stayed in a hotel one block down Amazonas from the Hilton Colon. $25/night per room, including all taxes and a continental breakfast. $34 per night if you plan on bring back an overnight guest. Nothing special to comment about. No elevator, which means being out of breath after going up and down the stairs.

Altitude
I'm not sure which is higher in altitude, Quito or Bogota. I'm in pretty good shape, from 3-4 days a week in the gym. Quito hits the lungs pretty hard. In fact, harder to me than Bogota. It took longer to get used to there. Walking Amazonas to Gringolandia, is only about a 10-15 mins leisurely stroll, but I found myself paying the $0.25 bus fare to get down there. I generally prefer the exercise, but my lungs.....were hurting. LOL!!!

Taxi
Taxi ride from airport was only $4 or $5, I forget as it wasn't much. I never paid more than that the entire time there in Quito in taxi fares. Including a trip way out north to Club Alondras for only $3.25 in a metered cab. (Get back to that later.) Also paid as little as $1.25 for a taxi as well.

Drinks
Drinks were reasonably priced. Domestic beer ranged between $1-2; whiskey was between $3-5. Quick tip - when ordering a whiskey on the rocks, you MUST be sure to tell them NO WATER. Had a fight about that in Guajira, even though I only asked for a whiskey on the rocks. Seriously, the manager had to get involved to get me exactly what I'd asked for. The bartender wasn't budging. Apparently, locals drink this way. So, be specific.

I usually drink whiskey with a beer chaser. Beer wasn't too bad. It was drinkable. The domestic rum tastes like ass. Just forget it.

Anyone who's been in these countries will tell you, Quito's a bonafide value play. Outside of shopping for clothes in Quicentro and such malls, things are cheap.

Orientation
For me, Amazonas was the main orientation point. I got a free map at the airport and used that to map my points of interest. I also used this to map my bus routes, what streets to get off, and which direction to take buses, etc. At $0.25 per bus ride, it didn't hurt me, plus added to the adventure. It was easy to find streets like 10 de Agosto, Ave Americas, Colon, Naciones Unidades, Republica, 6 de Dieciembre, 12 de Octubre, Orellana, La Prensa, etc.

Massage place
Went to a massage place a block or so from Quicentro prior to heading out to see the city; $10 massage for about 1 hour (tips not expected, nor needed); none of the chicks there rate more than a 5, which is great since it's not full service; great service from Marybeth there; after the massage, you get a HJ and BBBJ; no CIM; but a great way to kick off the day, esp. before heading out to check out the ficha spots

P4P spots hit
Cafe Rojo - best collection of talent that I saw; no cover; $20 fichas; reasonable drink prices with $2 beers, $5 whiskeys; did a couple of chicas out of there, but forgot the names; pretty good service; for the talent pool alone, and the cost (even though $20 per ficha is higher than normal there, it's worth it for the talent) to me, it's definitely a must-do on my return trips

Touch Me - Definitely a $7 place; approx. $2 cover incl. beer; in 2 trips there, I've yet to have a decent experience, much less pleasant; it's like a big living room where everybody waits at the one doorway in and out of the room; there's like 20 chicks there and like 60-80 dudes; of the 20 or so chicks, all but maybe 5 aren't fat; and those 5 stay busy with clients; the fat chicks sit on chairs on the wall in front of the door, chasing anyone who stands in front of the doorway away, as if Captain Save-A-Hoe is gonna coming stomping through the door and choose one of those fat hoes; while there were maybe one of two decent-looking chicks there, the crowd and the fat chicks made be abandon my beer and head for the door; $2 lost; oh well

Guajira - Went close to closing time; only 2 chicks of 10 were doable; one, "Pamela," had a line waiting their turn; the other was already dressed in street clothes and headed for the door, just waiting for a few minutes to pass before she was allowed to leave; this is where I had my whiskey and water experience; after all of that, the girls were pretty cool, albiet pretty chunky; this place has lounges where you can interact with the girls before heading upstairs, if you're moved to do so; $15 fichas; had my drink and decided to check it out during the next day; went back the next day to find about 20-30 chicks, better talent than before; made contact with Pamela, but she left to do a quick strip tease; having more money than time, I left after having my whiskey, this time made correctly; I'd go back

270 La Nina - stopped by after Guajira, as it's right around the corner; at about 7 pm, there were only maybe 4 chicks there; none worth the effort of having a beer there; promptly left

Cheers - stopped by on a late Saturday afternoon; checked out the talent; not much cuaght my eye; the best looking chick to me there was eyeing me, but I only wanted to check out the talent; started speaking to a Colombian chick working there who approached me, maybe a 5 on any scale; she infromed me of a club that Colombians go to dance called Cali Salsateca; not sure about the prices in Cheers; had a beer and took off

La Fragata - stopped by on a Friday night; $2 cover and you receive a beer; place is located under an old hotel or hostel; not the best ambiance, but doable; waiter led us to a backroom where it was a bit more subdued; he brought a few chicas back there to meet us; all 3 were Colombianas; pretty decent-looking chicks for Quito, in hindsight; onsite would cost $15; TLN quotes were $150; we finished up our drinks and headed out for the night

VIP 3 Star - what a dump!!!!LOL!!! The ambiance of this place matches the talent level. When we went nothing special at all. After finishing the large ber that came with our $2 cover, we bailed outta there. This was about 12:30-1:00am after La Fragata.

Club Alondras/Marquis de Sade - stopped by on a lazy Sunday afternoon; not sure which place is which, but went into the 1st place on the block, paid $1.50 for a large beer; went into the place; this is a local average joe kinda place; screens showing futbol matches; plenty of tables and chairs; people dancing wherever; talent was severely lacking not even a 5 in the bunch of 15-20 chicks present; a couple of drunk local dudes started chatting me up; no real issues; just warning me about the types of guys that are there to to trust no one, as if I trusted them; finished my beers; bought them one then headed out to see the other spots

Went next door (right in front was a vendor grilling up some food); no cover to walk in; bought a beer for $1.50; had a seat and checked out the talent, it was quite an upgrade from the place next door; a more relaxed environment as well even though far removed from Cafe Rojo standards; noticed a decent-looking slim chick; called her over; another "Pamela," ok, whatever; pretty cool personality; decided to do a ficha with her, $7 for 30 minutes; cool session albeit mechanical, she had cool personality in the room; got a few pics that I'll post later; would do her again

Masajes Medellin - open on Sundays; fichas $16; only 4-5 girls working on a Sunday; only one that interested me was already involved with a drunken local; messy scene; I finished my beer and along with some locals, got aout of there; nice casa type place; lounges available to speak with chicas; went back on Monday; about 10-15 chicas there; only 2 were appealing and there weren't any rooms available; finished brew and left

VIP Paradise Women - went on a Monday afternoon; fichas $15; pay $3 cover; and get a chip; when you enter place, you get a choice of a beer or cuba libre (rum and coke); decent talent; kinda dark in there, so you'll have to really look had to be sure what you're seeing I left without doing anyone; I'd go back however

Nightcats - went on a Friday night; $7 cover for 2 beers or cuba libres; I chose the beer; $15 fichas; spent about 3 hours in this place one night, until 5 am; had a good time chatting up the chicas; did a chica named Sulay about a 7.5 on any scale; had a great time; great service; got her cell number but never used it; about 15-20 chicas working; about 5-7 are doable; I'd go back

Good fortune that I had, I met a local chick in my hotel lobby; invited her to a beer; sweet-talked her up to my room; was able to do the deed with her that morning. Great non-pro experience!!!

Noches de Paris - tried to hit this place on a dead Sunday night, but taxi called his dispatcher and we were told it was closed that night

515 - was mentioned several times by taxistas, but I think there's a comminssion involved for them; price quotes were $80-100; went elsewhere; this is Quito!

The Office - as it was close to my hotel, swang by there to check it out; went in, only 4 fat chicks present; immediately headed for the door

Non-monger related
- Went to discoteca Blues on a Saturday night; many people there; best looking local chicks filling around 11:30-1:00 am timeframe; closes at 5:00-6:00 am; opportunities are possible there

- Went to discoteca Mad's in gringolandia on a Sunday night; unfortunately this was the night before the prez's inaugeration; therefore, very few people mulling around; very few chicas as well, maybe 6 in total; just spent to night getting drunk there and unsuccessfully hitting on the Calena bartender; she was one of very few chicas there, along with a very drunk or coked-up gringa from Boston there with a local dude; place was pretty decent, reasonable drink prices; I think that hooking up with a hostel chick there would be possible

- Went to the equator and a volcanic crater; I'd recommend checking it out for yourself; was well worth the trip; just figure on spending at least 1/2 day there

All in all, I'd do Quito again in the future, with a better idea of exactly where to hit and where not to waste my time.

Hey everyone , I´m back in Quito, made it here yesterday afternoon, and hit my first casa today, this computer I´m using is a slow piece of crap, so forgive me if there are some typos in this, but I´m not going to bother to fix them.

Flew Copa Airlines from LAX to Quito, with a stop in Panama Titty. Overall I must say I was disappoined with the flight, it was just like flying Continental except the flight attendants are 1. bi-lingual and 2. hotter. Other than that, I wouldn´t fly them again unless I had to, or if they had another cheap fare; I much prefer Lan. There was this one real hot flight attendant (black girls body with a white girls face) so that almost made the flight enjoyable. Almost.

Anyways, just to touch on the altitude sickness issue, it´s very much real! I´ve been here over 24 hours now and I´ve just NOW stopped panting. I felt ok when I first landed, but I went for a walk yesterday and that´s when I started to feel sick, with a headache and dry heaving. It probably didn´t help that I walked a couple miles or so yesterday, but I wanted to go out. I didn´t feel in the mood to visit a chongo, but I was thinking about visiting a strip club. In the end, I decided to just rest my first night, and try to catch my breath. Also, had problems getting to sleep, not sure because of the altitude or what.

Today, I felt better, but still not 100%. I wasn´t sure what to do today. It´s funny, because I felt both horny and not horny at the same time. I didn´t feel like wandering around town deciding on which chongo to go to, so I just went to the closest one to where I´m currently staying; VIP Paradis Women.

Not going to go into much details on the club, just check Tungs list for the prices, they´re still the same. Saw Pamela there (see Civids post a few post down for pics of her). She looks SO slutty now, I love it! I was thinking about doing her again, but I wanted to try something new. Besides I think at least three or four of us on here have done her already, photos included, so I think the ISG community has documented her well enough.

Fantastic report as usual Ezinho. I am jealous - have to wait 4 more months before I get down there. Was the altitude sickness worse this time than before? Each time I have been there, I felt a slight shortness of breath initially, but then felt fine. When I tried to walk up hills quickly, I'd again feel shortness of breath but always temporary. I assume you are there for "spanish lessons'? lol.

Ezhino you lucky bastard. I´m in expensive Santiago while you are in discount Quito. I can barely buy a Big Mac or a KFC meal for 700 pennies, never mind a chica.

I think La Paz was a 'dead cat bounce' after a bullish run in Quito. Peru, Bolivia and now Chile have definitely cured me of my enthusiasm. For here in Santiago I could care less about visiting the cathouses; it's apathy time! Hmm, it's like I am getting back to normal travelling.

As for you in Quito, nut 'em all dude! I hope you go ghetto slumming in the north and south -- I would like to read someone else's perspective and adventures on some of the more out-of-the way clubs. Central sees most of the action by ISG visitors.

For the apostrophe problem you can alter the keyboard by looking at the bottom right hand corner for "ES." It gives you the option of changing the keys.

I believe I read somewhere on here that La Fragata has / had a jacuzzi / sauna in their building. Might need some vic salve sauna treatment to get me lungs cleared out before hitting the jacuzzi.

Quito is 9100 feet up, Bogota is 8600. The extra 500 can make a BIG difference I guess.

But it has always subsided right after and I do not even notice the altitude for the rest of the trip. I can't compare it to Quito thought because I have only been the Guayaquil in Ecuador. I don't know the elevation there but I assume it is much lower than Bogota because I did not have any problems.

Sure do envy you folks in Quito. Haven't had anything to match Quito since I left for the states. Enjoy it while you can get it.
