I'm looking for a girl friendly hotel in the Eastgate area which appears to be somewhere in between Summit Club/Royal Park Hotel and the Airport. I was looking at the Gardencourt Eastgate and the Stayeasy Eastgate.

Any suggestions?

I agree for the most part. These areas look quite rough. But that's why I dress down, way down. It even looks as if the hoodlums are dressed more fashionable than I am. Although I noticed people in the streets eyeing my sneakers.

Anyway, I think if you arrive to the club in taxi and leave in taxi you should be reasonably safe.

I didn't see the areas going hectic after dark. In fact, as soon as the sun set, the streets look deserted. Kinda creepy if you know how busy it is during the day.

Luis Manuel, I don't know about Eastgate. But from my experience so far any hotel in JNB is girl friendly.

I was in that area two years ago. I found a hotel on Hotels.com. All hotels are "girl friendly..." since SA is not exactly monger heavy. I easily picked up normal women at Eastgate just wandering around the mall and didn't have to monger at all. In fact, I picked up a waitress at the hotel I was staying at when I was exploring the other side of town too. FYI: It seems the whole country shuts down 2 weeks before and after Christmas - New Years. Very bad time to hang out in Jozi.

I went to all the clubs in Hillbrow. I have an addiction to exploring and danger. If you don't share that thrill, don't go there. I believe its one of the few places I've ever been that's more dangerous in the day than at night.

Why SA?

I've lived here most of my life and I would not recomend mongering in JHB city or Hilbrow for foreiners. You won't be allert for the tell tale sings, even we arnt all the time. But if you can rather monger elsewhere or take a hardened mongerer with.

I usually report from East Europe, but I am now scheduled for a business trip to Bloemfontein. I tried to look on internet for escorts, girls, action in that city, but it seems totally dead? Does anybody on the SA forum know what is to be found there?

In bloem there is definitly action, just buy the local newspaper and you will find what you looking for, but I must warn you, you will be limited with choice as it is a small town, but you still can have a good time.

I will be saying in Sandton with limited radius so places around that are are highly appreciated.

Would look for a massage place with further services or an in-call.

For some reason, Jackson held back my question a couple of days.

However, I am in Joburg now and -as I didn't receive any guidance upfront- checked out 'Leela Dee massage' in Paulshof, close to Sandton.

Was a splendid experience of a truly professional tahi massage, some body-to-body elements and a really good hand relief.

Still totally relaxed now :)

Cost were 380 ZAR for the hour and I addedd some tip as I was so totally satisfied...

Open for further suggestions but will definately visit this venue again

The hank, bro man you should have no problem, sandton and jhb is really good for mongering, plenty of places to see, and there are websites to check out, but a little more pricey than what you paid,

Just got back from a quick business trip to South Africa. I had some meeting scheduled in Pretoria but managed to arrive a day early and spend a night in Johannesburg at the Sandton City Holiday Inn which has always been one of my favorites due to its proximity to Sandton Square.

Arrived at 6 am so decided to have breakfast before going to the hotel. Also got a SIM card at the airport which was activated immediately as opposed to 24 hrs later anywhere else.

After a nice dinner in Mandela Square, I was undecided between see one of the escorts advertised in the internet or venture to the infamous Summit Club, which I used to frequent many years ago. It had been 7 years since my last trip to South Africa, so I was apprehensive about safety, but still chose the Summit Club. I guess I just like conducting my private business away from where I do my professional business.

I went to a taxi waiting in front of the hotel and asked the fare to Hillbrow before getting in. I was told it was 180R and because it was a slow night, he'd take me there for 150R. Asking for the fare before getting into the cab also gives you the added security that the driver actually knows how to get there. Over the years I've had some rather interesting experiences with drivers who don't seem to know the city at all.

Granted that Hillbrow is a rather nasty part of Johannesburg, but the roads were surprisingly empty (it was Wednesday) and getting there was no issue at all. After the passing security (you get frisked) I went up a flight of stair to pay the entrance fee (70R) only to be told that there was some issue with the liquor license and that they weren't serving alcohol. As my taxi had already departed i decided to go in anyway.

The Summit is very large inside so it appeared decidedly empty even for the 30 odd girls (almost all black, a few colored and one oriental) ranging from rather plain to very pretty, sitting around looking rather dejected. About a dozen patrons seems to be spread out amongst the various rooms. I headed for the bar, ordered tonic water and waited for the strip show to start.

In little time a girl came up to me to ask for a drink. She seemed pleasant enough so I bought her a coke which also gave me the opportunity to find out what was happening, get a sense of the rates and look around some more. When she asked me if I wanted a massage I declined and she moved on.

By then I had already spotted a cute colored girl with long hair who turned out to be from Zambia. I smiled at her and she came over. I bought her and her friend a soft drink (2 x 8R), chatted her up a little to make sure she was pleasant and confirm her rate (300R), and eventually let her take me up to her room.

She turned out to be very friendly. She gave good BBBJ and then put a condom on me. She seemed to really get off riding me which was a great turn-on and in no time I had done the deed. We could have gone on but I was pretty tired from the trip and accepted a back massage instead.

While she straddled my back and kneaded my muscles, we discussed life, the future of South Africa etc and eventually I got dressed, paid her and she walked me downstairs to door to make sure she knew the taxi driver. A nice gesture albeit not necessary as the taxis in front of the club are registered by the club.

For the ride back to the hotel I sat in front as I usually do from Hillbrow given that these taxi are quite run-down (unlike the new cars in Sandton) and the front seats are usually much better. Also this way you can talk to the driver or grab the steering wheel should he fall asleep (actually happened to me years ago).

All in all it was a nice experience for about 800R. I suppose one doesn't gain anything by not going for a girl in the Sandton area (reportedly 500R to 600R) but I personally like the sleaziness of the Summit Club and being able to talk to them before having to make a choice.

In conclusion if you like black girls, the Summit Club continues to be a safe option providing you are smart about it (hotel taxi in and club taxi out). A lot of the girls seem to be from neighboring African countries and some seemed to be educated and to have had good jobs. They also seemed to respond very well to being treated with consideration.

Hopefully the liquor license issue will be resolved quickly.

Great report on one of my oldtime fav sleasy hangouts the Summit club.

There was a day they where hinking of moving out of the central area to somwhere less seedy, but we wait to see that happen.

Having put my report on the Thai massage place forward I would just like the forum for a good recommendation of another massage parlor in (or close by) the Sandton area.

Giving it a thought I would love to get massaged by a black woman. It would be a shame to go to Africa and only get in touch with Thai women, not?

Any hints are apreciated as I did not yet find usefull information on the web.
