I booked a suite at the Bougainviller Hotel on October 20, 2007. One month later the following current information on the hotel came to my attention through this forum: "be WARNED: The building right next to the Bougainvillier is under heavy reconstruction. From 8 am to 5 pm there is so much noise that you can't talk on the phone or even hear yourself think. This is not the fault of the hotel, although they knew it when I booked and said nothing. I had to move out yesterday, couldn't stand the noise." In light of these problems, I tried to cancell my reservation (for January), but they declined to refund my deposit. I had to contact my credit card company to help resolve the issue. Nowhere on their web site does it say a deposit is nonrefundable.

This is my first post so I hope you find it useful. I have been living in Cambodia for a year now so I will endeavor to give an overview of the current situation. Bare in mind things change very quickly here! If it helps you to know – I am a 39 year old male in good shape and I speak reasonable Khmer.
