Asian MP Lover - I am sorry you had a bad experience at the Transit Hotel. I've written reports on that following extremely favourable experiences there. But I would suggest that it is very imporant to stress what kind of girl you want - you need to be very firm about that with the guy on reception and if such a girl doesn't arrive, respectfully ask for another one.

Not a worthwhile report and no hard info because i didn't partake but feel its worth saying that i found Cj's a great bar, with a lot of excellent talent on display and available! I was staying at Aryaduta but next time in Jakarta will be at Mulia.

Got there reasonably early 10 ish, it was ladies night, and things steadily hotted up from there. I really like the way everything happens a bit different to, say, OT Singapore. Everyone knows why they are there, but no-one making moves until around 11:30 midnight. I found myself having dialogue with a group of 5 young sweeties, any one of whom i would happily take away! once it became clear i was not going to take anyone, they really put the pressure on - some close holds and tongue kissing :-)

Enjoyed and will be back! Would reccomend Cj's as an easy spot

The 3 popular 5 star hotel bars are mentioned many times in this forum. BATS in the Shangri La, CJ's in the Mulia, and Tiga Puluh in Le Meridien. Those 3 have been the most popular 5 star hotel bars for at least 10 years now. Burgundy at the Hyatt is more upscale, but also a pickup spot. Mistere at the Ritz Carlton is a similar setup to CJ's, but it doesn't get as big of crowds and is more upscale. Even your Aryaduta Tavern bar has some action, but not as much as those other spots. Park Lane hotel has Stix which has a similar amount of action to Aryaduta. Crowne Plaza Hotel has Retro disco which has more techno music while all the others have pop with the exception of Stix which has Salsa. Retro is a later night place. Those are the main popular pickup places in 5 star hotels for expats. But there are so many other places in town not in 5 star hotels. References to all of them have already been posted in this forum as far as I know.

I will say that CJ's is greatly improved since they remodelled. It's much easier to survey the bar than it used to be. Glad you enjoyed CJ's, but don't limit yourself to that one place. There are so many good places to try throughout the city.

Just up the road from CJ's in Taman Ria is Embassy disco (mainly a techno, ecstacy place). Just down the street from CJ's in the other direction is Red Square and X2. Those are 2 upscale bars where the upper class girls like to hang out.

Blok M is about a 5 to 10 minute drive from CJ's as well and we all know the pleasures that can be found there...

In the past, the hot late nightspot and most infamous bar in all of southeast asia was Tanamur. (it's a damn shame that place isn't around anymore) But now that Tanamur is gone, the infamous late night place in Jakarta is Stadium in north Jakarta. I know people in Singapore who fly to Jakarta just to go to Stadium for the weekend, then fly back to Singapore to go back to work. It's open 24 hours and has an in house *****house as well as the disco. It's a techno/ecstacy place, the waiters will actually offer to sell you ecstacy when they take your drink order. It's not a place you'd want to go by yourself if you are new in town, but it can be fun if you go with someone who has been before. I don't ever do ecstacy, but I still enjoy myself there.

I had some friends who stayed at the Mulia recently for 3 weeks. Due to typical warnings from their company about dangers in Jakarta, they were scared to go anywhere other than 5 star hotels. Even though I told them those dangers were greatly exaggerated and offered to take them to other areas of town, they refused. So we ended up meeting at the Mulia or BATS when we met. They told me they were paying the girls 1 million rupiah a night. I informed them that was too much and that they should try to negotiate them down to 500-600k for the night, but they claimed none of the girls would go for less than 1 million. I even offered to negotiate for them, but they said they didn't want that because they didn't want to look cheap in front of the girls. I guess if you're on a nice expense account, $100 usd doesn't seem like so much. The sad thing was I saw some of the girls they were taking and those girls weren't even worth 400k for the night in my opinion. A couple of them I wouldn't have taken for free.

The common expression in Jakarta is "mandi kucing" (mandee koocheeng).
To make sure she will do AR, you can ad "sampai lubang pantat" (sampay loobang pantat" where the letter "a" sounds like the "u" in "much".

That's ironic, after the bomb in the Marriott Hotel a few years ago --it seems like they should be staying away from the 5 star hotels, considering they're paranoid. I can tell where they're coming from, about the women, having spent a couple of weeks in the Mulia myself. If your Indonesian language skills are minimal, like mine, the most approachable women in C.J.'s are ugly sharks that will try to stick it to you, price-wise. I had a lot better luck, getting better service, cheaper prices, and hotter women by going to Blok M. It sounds like things have improved there though, based on your and Ozirob's reports.

That might not "make sure" she will do it, but it will let her know what you want. It basically translates to "Until the anus".

Managed 2 rounds at different KTVs last week.

The first was a place called Melody, located in Blok M Plaza (opp. Grand Mahakam hotel). KTV rooms are small, but notorious for having about 45 girls literally screaming for your attention when you walk through the door.

So, I went back alone.

The next night decided to hit Cosmos -- it's really the best in terms of getting laid with KTV girls who know what it's all about. As I was feeling tired and really, really drunk -- went out with Korean clients this time -- decided to opt for the attached washroom bang. I must have pumped her forever, and could not cum ... well, I really overdid the liquor, and only had myself to blame.

Anyway, since she is quite a looker (and a groaner to boot), I will be following up with her outside of the KTV on my next trip. What was it that Brother Tamurlane said about "long term, relaxed relationships" ?? ;)

So, if someone's being a real asshole, would calling him "lubang pantat" be too polite, or is there a more appropriate street lingo for this?

Panya, never take a girl home directly from KTV. You will pay for the KTV service too.

These girls will love to see you outside the KTV so just ask their phone nr and ask what time they are ready. This is my strategy and it worked always. When they are ready they go directly to your hotel or you can decide to do it another day and you still have the nr.

Also prices are better to negotiate then.
