Prelude:

My friend from Vegas who we call $40Jeff, who comes to Costa Rica several times a year to monger, asked me via email to take him to either Havana, Panama, or Medellin for his next trip down. Since I was taking a guy who had never been to Medellin, I booked us both rooms at Casa Blanca, especially since my friend would be staying several days after I left.

Day 1. Arrival and Check In.

Just a couple of comments. If a girl asks for a drink, a polite "no" will suffice. They usually don't hound you after. Also, when it comes to drinking in any foreign country, DO NOT open a tab!
