i was introduced to this forum by a friend and am amazed by the information listed here. i'll share what i've experienced over the years and know about korea currently so hopefully this isn't a repeat of information.

red light districts are operating but not anywhere what they used to be. visited 588 recently and the district is quite dead. i'd estimate no more than 20 shops were open on a weekend night with maybe 1 or 2 girls in each glass house. all the girls are busy staring at their phones and most won't even look if someone walks by. i took a few laps and saw about 3-4 girls that were hot enough that i'd actually pay money to play with. most of the girls at 588 i wouldn't even offer a drink at a club. i saw some girls that looked somewhat decent from about 10 yards away but as i approached closer i could tell they got beaten by the ugly stick and were covered up with layers of makeup. i talked to a few of the girls and they all quoted me 70 krw for 15 min or 210 krw for one hour. not sure if the cost is more for non koreans but i did see groups of japanese men walking around with their hideous lv man purses or satchels. if you want a quickie. 588 is an option for the budget conscious and you get to see and choose the girl. most girls are wearing slutty dresses, skirts, but beware they are wearing stripper platform shoes to appear taller. 588 is located at chung-lang-li station. if you hop into a cab you can just say 588 (oh-pal-pal) and they should know what you're referring to.

i also checked out mee-lah-li located at gireum station and this district has changed completely. i remember mirari used to have glass fronts similar to 588 but they are all blacked out now. you have to talk to the store lady owner for them to slide the door open in order to see the girls. this is a hassle because the store lady owners are aggressive and will literally push you into their store. mirari girls used to wear traditional hanbok clothing but i saw that most girls were wearing skirts or dresses. not sure how many stores are open or how many girls are working because of the blacked out windows. i saw a sign posted in front quoting a price of 80 krw. not sure what the price is for a longer period of time. mirari is a disappointment in comparison what it used to be. i would not recommend this district but you can get there by just telling a cab driver for mee-lah-li.

visited the district in chun-ho and was much surprised by the attitude of the girls at this location. chun-ho is similar to 588 with its glass store fronts but they act interested. the girls here really try to grab your attention by yelling out for you to come into their stores. the district itself is really small in comparison with 588 but most of the stores appeared open unlike the majority of the stores at 588 with its lights off. i didn't think any of the girls at chun-ho were exceedingly beautiful and even saw some fatties. after seeing chun-ho, i thought the girls at 588 were slightly prettier. then again, we all have different preferences and wants in a girl. i personally didn't find any of the girls in this district attractive. not sure what the pricing is but i'd imagine it being between 70-80 krw.

lastly i checked out a room salon in gangnam not really visible to the outside but near the bang bang intersection. these places always ask if you've made a reservation. since i didn't know any of the waiters or hosts, i had to bullshit my way through to convince these chumps i've been there before. upon passing through their gates, we were led to a small karoake room complete with its own bathroom. there were already bottles of beer and within a few minutes came a platter of fruit and bottle of korean whiskey. wondering where the girls were, our host comes back and leads us out of the karoake room to the second floor to which he referred to as the magic meter. wtf? upon entering, those two words were definitely magic. in front of us is a glass room full of about 30-40 girls straight out of the rush hour scene. the girls were dressed in slutty short dresses just patiently sitting. the fascinating element of this however was the glass was a one way mirror, meaning we could see into this glass room of girls but they couldn't see us. each girl had a number pinned on them and upon choosing a girl, a guy with a mic cheered as if you hit the mega ball number saying this number was selected. after the host escorted us back into our karoake room, the selected girls came into our room and the action got started. we did the customary love shots, feeding of the grapes, and singing kpop songs. all of a sudden, the girls changed the karoake song, stripped to their panties, and told us to drop our pants. our respective girls proceeded to give each of us a bj for the length of the song. after a quick bj song tease, the girls changed into lingerie and continued with the drinking and singing activities. towards the end of the hour, the girls changed the song back and gave us a marvelous second bj tease. this appeared to be the end of the first hour of fun in the singing room. the girls then led us to the elevator and took us to a hotel that was connected with this fine establishment. off we went into our respective rooms for forty minutes of where the real fun began. i gave my girl a good ride and she didn't mind i was going over the initial forty minutes. a quick shower after, exchange of phone numbers, goodbye hug, and an iced coffee provided by my host ended the festivities. total cost was 300 krw that included the alcohol, platter of fruit, one hour of karaoke room. 2 quick bj teases, and 40 minutes in a hotel room to finish it off. probably not necessary but tipped the host 20 krw and the waiter 10 krw. i asked the host if they allow non koreans and he said they charge 430 krw and you probably have to be with korean wingmen to get your group in if you don't already know someone in the inside.

1) are you ethnically Korean or Asian? (this question is relevant in terms of entering the business in the first place)

2) can you share the name or location of this place? (the report is interesting, but Bang Bang intersection is full of SP venues, so to be really useful we need to know how to get there)

3) The "foreigners premium" price would be 430, 000 won per person, right?

One day I really should write the beginnings of some kind of definitive guide to massage places / kiss bangs in Korea. I feel like it is a kind of flow chart of options and pluses / minuses, but I am still feeling my way, so to speak.

Anyway, on to my report.

Last night I decided to try a new venue, a place in Hongdae. Because I like exchanging real and useful information, and I dislike vague directions or awesome reports that end with "I was too drunk to notice the name or appearance of the establishment", I will begin with the Roadview:

I arrived just before 7pm. The sign behind the counter said 80, 000 won, but the middle-aged lady behind the counter asked only for 70, 000 won. That's right. A discount! I didn't ask whether this was an early bird discount or a foreigner discount (I am white) or she was feeling nice that day.

The set up is like other 70-90, 000 won massage places. You go into an individual room, get your gear off and stow it in a cupboard. Then you go have a shower. After that you go back to the room. The rooms have sliding doors with a latch on the inside. A couple of minutes later and a slender, pretty girl of medium height came in. She asked me if I spoke Korean. I said yes, and then the massage begins. She has a timer set to count down from about 50 minutes. She gives a serious massage on your back, legs and arms first. If it is too hard, she will skip to the oil and gentler massage stage.

At the 20-minutes-left mark, she goes out, comes back with hot wet towels and wipes the oil off. Then you flip over, and she gives you a HE, with some cat-licking and stroking.

Now of course, YMMV. In my case she didn't take off her little t-shirt or bra, but I was allowed to slip my hand in there and give a good feel. Just remain respectful and follow her boundaries. She kissed me once on the lips, but wasn't up for a DFK experience. After the clean-up, we had a few minutes left, so she massaged some more. Sweet girl, pretty, and, as I found out during the conversation. Not Korean. I suspected Thai or maybe Chinese, but she would only say that her hometown was "in the country". I am hoping that someone will share some recent and useful information about massage places that have Chinese or Thai (or other non-Korean providers).

The holy grail for me seems to be a combination of a place like Bell or Cool coupled with a Kiss Bang, and a massage room.

A short massage and wanted 60 or 70k for FS which I think I negotiated down to 30k or 40k. OK service, cleaned up and left.

I'm looking to pass through just overnight next month and hoping someone can recommend an area to stay that wouldn't raise suspicions to family but close enough to walk to a foreigner-friendly place.

An hour with an escort would already be between KRW 220, 000 and KRW 300, 000 on average.

I saw similar establishments at the Riverside Hotel and in Yeoksam Station (name of hotel / motel is "M" or something; close to a corner Starbucks). Unfortunately for me, I was staying overnight and twice, I shared the lifts with the ladies as they were bringing their clients to the rooms.

DFK's probably the toughest to get in that list, followed by SP under 40 and attractive.

Been surfing through Korean portals but there seems to be a renewed (?) focus on dabangs (coffee places). The massage places in these portals are usually officetels in Gangnam, Yeoksam or Seolleong. I've tried them before with various degrees of luck. You get pretty girls. Mostly university girls below 30. But DFK is usually not possible, unless you are a regular and have charmed her well enough. Turnover's pretty high so you may not get the same girl after a few months.
