I took my novia her mother and aunt to the movies and total ticket cost was $12. 00. Add three large cokes and two popcorns and I paid a total cost of $16. 50 dollars. Just to give you perspective one movie ticket in new York is $9. 50. I usually go to the movie theater on Venezuela as opposed to the mega central movie theater because that one is so crowded and I like the other theater better. Chicks love to go to the movies they dress up and it is a fun cheap date for you if you are looking to do something different.

I went there a year ago and paid about $13 for 2 tickets, pop corn and coke. Modern and confortable.

Growing up in a third world country like India, we only had buckets and cold water fortunately piped in at a later period. Winter days were brutal. You shake and jump when the first bucket of water hits you and then it gets better. LOL.
The worse thing of course is that now, after many moons of hot water, I find cold water shower almost abominable. So I do not know how anyone in the right mind can actually say, it is better than hot water. However, the long term effect of very hot water is not so good on skin as much as too much sun is not good so hmmm. Perhaps that is what the pretty women in asia and south america are trying to conserve.
On another note, good discussion and learning. It gets boring reading about "how much" perennially on other threads.

Blue mall theathers are stadium designed, very nice, I went there with my favorite girl, later we went to Chilis located at the top level of the mall. One of my uncles came from Chicago and stayed a couple of days in my house. He bought and installed a water heather and I was a happy kid. Once he got back to the states, the water heather was disconnected and I asked my mom why. She replied: he installed it and I thank him for his good intention but he do not leave any money to pay for the electric bill increase derived from the use of the water heather. We have no fan here for the same reason. A year later I bought her a fan and gave her 1$ of my monthly school allowance to pay for electricity bill increase. There should be people that loves to shower in cold water, I sometimes like that, but if you let people choice most will choose warm water.

Here's the highlights of my trip to Santo Domingo a few weeks ago. I was at the Hilton for 5 nights and did not have a rental car. Taxi's were everywhere and girls were available on the street as well.

It has a beach with chaise lounges, they have an open air gym plus kids games and activities, drinks and food. It is a nice place to spend a couple of hours.
