Just finished my trip and it was great, there were some negatives but I can see myself making another trip in the future.

The last one was actually in Tainan but I'll just include here. There was a Taiwanese guy I befriended before coming out and he happened to be visiting home in tainan during my trip to Taiwan. I went down to Tainan and he took me out with a couple of his friends to a KTV / Taiwanese style club. You really can only come to this place if you befriend a local or your fluent in mandarin I think. I really don't think its worth it but maybe its worth experiencing one time. According to my buddy it was 50 k TWD for the lounge / room we're in. It was bit expensive because they ordered food and bunch of extra shit. Way it worked was girls would come in and sit with each guy and entertain them. Every 30 minutes a new set of girls come in but you could "lock" a girl in for 1.5 k I think, I never did it. There were two set of girls, ones in dresses and ones in uniforms. The ones in dresses you might not be able to get any action with them and if you did they would be expensive from what my buddy said. The ones in uniform though you could pay for HJ / BJ up to full service, but they weren't as good looking. I think BJ was 1. 2 k and FS was 6 k I never went with it but it was an interesting experience.

Definitely enjoyed my time in Taiwan, the food was great and people were really kind.

I've noticed over the period of several months that MR has a quite a few post op trans listings and while I have nothing against transwomen I do think that men are generally expecting to meet women who were born women and some may be being misled. So I wanted to give some of my red flags for being aware of these listings. Not all of these are fool-proof, some things just make it more likely that the girl is post-op, but some are clear giveaways:

- They advertise BBFS and creampie openly on their profile. Not a guarantee but its more likey so do your due diligence and compare with the other points.

- Just trimmed but not shaved around the labia. Some girls will keep enough hair downstairs to obscure any SRS scars.

And these ones will often come up by the time its too late and you're already on site:

It is a security measure for them. They'll generally call your hotel phone and make sure you are a real person and that you're actually there. Based on the whole "photo of your room key" thing I assume you were actually contacting an agency. You probably would have been baited and switched hard out.

Based on what I've read in forums, most of the activity seems to center around the area near Lungshan Temple, Wanhua Market and Xichang Market blocks between Guangzhou and Guilin. In summary, prices are approximately 1,500 NT $ for 20 minutes and most of them are Thai, Vietnamese, very few native Taiwanese / Chinese, and the choices appear to be quite limited and GFE, DFK, DATY are almost non-existent. Are there better options elsewhere in bars, nightclubs where you can find freelancers?

I wonder Taipei is really worth stopping over for this. The other option is Seoul, but it hasn't been very exciting based on my previous experiences.

That is a very difficult? To answer for someone else. I think you should look at hotel prices first in the area you were interested in. Also keep in mind that the drive from the airport will take a bit over an hour (of course depends on time of day). The food, streetfood, night market, and such is awesome.

If I had to answer, I would say; if you had friends their, and were going to meet up hang out and have fun together, then yes it would be worth it. If you were going solo, and your mandarin is decent, then I would be 50/50. Otherwise for me I think the money and time is better spent elsewhere.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I don't have friends there and don't speak Mandarin, but this stopover is the closest I'll get to experiencing something China, so I don't want to miss it. However, I've shortened my plan from 2 days /3 nights to just 1 day /2 nights. Hope it won't be an utter disappointment.

But if you also like traveling to experience new places, culture, food and aren't hung up about whether or not you get off for a couple of nights I'd highly recommend visiting Taipei in general. Great city, easy to get around, great coffee spots, great museums, and a vibrant food-centric night life.
