Buying Uncensored Porn DVDs in Tokyo
While we're on the subject of porn, does anyone know where in Tokyo to get uncensored Japanese porn? And in a related question, does anyone know if there is any other term for uncensored besides モザイク無し?
At any of the major hubs (Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, etc.) you can get uncensored Japanese porn. Just go to the red-light districts and ask any tout where the "ura-dvd"s or "ura-no-mono" are. Be aware that such establishments are illegal, and the police occasionally bust them; in Kabukicho that happened just last weekend, although they let the customers go with a stern warning. For example, in the alley behind Cafe Kirara in Kabukicho, there are any number of small, hole-in-the-wall porn dvd stores; just look for the sign printed on a sheet of paper, saying "DVD". Usually they tend not to have a permanent sign, because, as I mentioned before, the police bust them all the time. But they just pop up again, sometimes on the next day. Usually they have just the covers of a bunch of Japanese and Western porn DVDs on display; I believe the stores are run by "Certain Shady Characters", and the goods they carry are bootleg copies of American (uncensored) porn movies. Usually you write down the numbers of the movies you want, and the prices are about 14-15 DVDs for Y10,000. You hand the pad in to the tencho, and he calls a central warehouse (where this is, I don't know-- I think they use this system so the main wholesalers never get busted). Then you wait, for like 30-40 minutes. Eventually a courier will come, with a package of DVDs in a plain brown wrapper. The tencho (store manager) will hand it to you, and off you go. Word to the wise--the police know what those small brown paper packages are; don't walk around carrying them in front of the police officers. Put it in your pocket, or knapsack. The police have been extraordinarily strict in Kabukicho in the past few months, busting certain establishments repeatedly, and making threats to the customers to call their employers and let the employers know what their employees have been up to. (Although I have never heard of them following through on this threat.) The selection is pretty good, depending on the store; they have a huge selection of Japanese uncensored porn, albeit limited to certain lines (Tokyo Hot, Sky Angel, Red Hot Jam, Kamikaze Girls, etc.). They also have a lot of Western porn, apparently bootlegs. As I understand it, "Certain Shady Characters" pay off employees of the large porn video companies, to allow them to make illicit pirate copies of the master tapes of porn movies. So the DVDs are of perfectly good quality. As I have mentioned previously, it probably pays to develop a good relationship with touts, if you find them to be reliable. They can usually point you in the direction of the right underground DVD stores. Just PLEASE don't make trouble at these places--first of all, you will screw it up for all us other gaijins, and second of all, these places are usually run by "Certain Shady Characters", and it will probably end badly for you. By the way, this whole trade is probably coming to an end soon, because you can just pay with a credit card at certain web sites, and download all the porn you can watch.
春野奈々子 ("Haruno Nanako")--possibly 藤代まゆ ("Fujishiro Mayu")
Anybody know where to get movies with AV star Nanako Haruno? She was in this movie:http://www.little-mango.com/en/main?cat=item&id=1FYI - I realize this is not necessarily a Tokyo specific question, but the general Japan board doesn't seem to get much traffic.
I tried looking this up for you, and there is a lot of speculation on Japanese message boards that "Haruno Nanako" and "Fujishiro Mayu" are the same girl-- I checked, and they do look similar, but then most of these JAV girls look the same to me. Anyway, there are lots of videos in the Tokyo Hot line featuring Fujishiro Mayu. Hope that helps,
Hard Economic Times = More Fun For Us
I am mentioning this because I haven't seen it mentioned here before:Has anyone else noticed recently, that the hard economic times seem to be hitting the P4P industry pretty hard? I have noticed that many of those low-level Chinese esute FS places are offering more discounts, and lower regular prices. The prices seem to have dropped about Y500 or so from their peak. Also, there are a lot more "economy class" soaplands, or so it seems-- and some of those seem to be lowering their prices slightly, as well. Finally, and most importantly, I have noticed a trend of a lot of P4P establishments, for example in the Shibuya area, that didn't used to allow gaijin customers, are now taking-- and even welcoming-- gaijin customers. I had one papa-san tell me straight up, "We didn't used to take gaijin customers, but the economic times are tough."King's Club, for example, now actually welcomes gaijins on its website. Has anyone else noticed this trend? I am hoping it continues :)
