After spending a couple of nights in Angeles City (see separate review in Angeles thread), I took the bus to Manila and spent Saturday night in Makati. Here are my thoughts.

[B]Traffic[/B] - It's no joke. Be sure to allocate plenty of travel time, especially during rush hour. From the time my bus arrived at the Pasay bus terminal and I called a Grab car to pick me up, it was an hour before I arrived at my hotel in Makati (only 7 km away).

[B]Airport[/B] - One piece of advice: be sure to check which terminal you are arriving / departing. There are four terminals at MNL and they're all completely disconnected; it's basically like four separate airports. If you end up at the wrong one it could take quite a while to transfer to another.

[B]Hotel[/B] - I stayed at the City Garden Grand Hotel and can highly recommend it. The rooms are very clean and modern, it was girl friendly (they didn't even check her ID), and they have a fantastic roof bar / restaurant / pool with an amazing view. I ate there and the food was really good as well. The location is only a five-minute walk to P. Burgos and the Royal Club. From my perspective it was the perfect spot to stay. Note, don't confuse it with City Garden Hotel which is a different place just around the corner.

[B]P. Burgos[/B] - After visiting Angeles City, I was most interested in hitting a normal bar / club in Makati but still wanted to see what P. Burgos had to offer, so I ducked into a couple of the bars. The setup in these places is different than Angeles City. I didn't see any stages or dancing girls; they're more like hostess bars where girls just drink with you. The quality of the girls seemed much better than Angeles, but the prices were also much higher. I didn't inquire about barfines too much but was quoted something like 8 K for BBFS in the corner of one bar (which would have been fun) but I'd also have to purchase like ten drinks on top of that. It all felt like price gouging so I didn't stay long.

[B]Royal Club[/B] - As mentioned in my post below, Royal was a good spot. Granted, I don't have any other points of reference in Manila, but it was exactly what I was seeking. The place was mostly non-pros but there was a good mix of pros / semi-pros as well. My biggest criticism was that the overall quality was less than I would have expected. I'd say the average girl in the club was about a 6. I danced and flirted with a few non-pros but none were up for more than exchanging numbers. Since I was leaving the next morning, I ended up taking a semi-pro who was visiting from the province. She wanted 5 K which I thought was a bit high but she was really fantastic and it was getting late so I relented. It turned out to be the right decision. She was really great in bed and was much more fun and engaged than the Angeles girls I met. My only complaint was that she insisted on a condom, but was totally fine with everything else including DATY, which my Angeles girls wouldn't do. She spent the night with me and was really lovely. I'd recommend the Royal Club for anyone looking for a change of scenery from the Burgos bars.

[B]Summary[/B] - While I was only in Makati for one night, I enjoyed it more than Angeles City. The environment seems more alive and there's a better energy. If you have the time and are looking for a less expensive, more raw scene, then Angeles is the place. Otherwise, if you only have a few days I'd recommend staying in Manila since traveling back and forth from Angeles takes a bit of effort and I'm not sure it's worthwhile. Further, while The Philippines certainly has its charm and the girls are indeed lovely, from hobbying perspective, if you're debating between Manila / Angeles or Thailand, I'd say Thailand is currently the better destination.

I have been to many nightclubs in Manila and AC and can confirm that age 60, you might even be considered a young pup. It is not uncommon for 80 year olds to be hanging out with 20 year old hotties in mini skirts and thongs. All that matters is the number of blue notes (1000 peso) you have in your pocket.

To have the best time at Royal, get yourself a table / sofa / half sofa. It will cost about 12 k which includes a 1 litre bottle of imported liquor of your choice (Grey Goose, Bombay Saphire, Black Label) mixers plus your own personal waiter. Service is amazing. Random girls will come and join your table and within 15 minutes you will have a full on party happening. There are few things as fun as dancing with a bunch of Pinay hookers.

Just do it. You won't have any issues.

The Indians generally reserve the best sofas and VIP areas and get the hottest chicks. But old white people can still have a great time. Royal doesn't have many Korean or Chinese customers which might be a good thing.

The non pro scene is much more interesting for the longer term. Endless hookers are great for a two week holiday but you can tire of them quickly after that. When in doubt, try a little of everything and see what you like best.

LOL.

I'll give it a shot on my upcoming trip.

I had an overnight stay in Makati as my flight home was early from Manila. I took the Genesis bus non stop from SM Clark (outside the main entrance) to Manila airport and taxi from there to hotel. I booked Oxford Suites as someone suggested on here. Perfect location right at the centre of P Burgos action, but has probably seen better days. Neither aircon or TV remote controls worked properly, oddly neither of them would turn off the equipment though other functions worked. It all started to kick off about 8 pm with some street girls and clubs opening. I took a look in a few clubs, Dimples was great, I had a beer and a lot of attention in Lollipop upstairs too. Check out the BF prices and was a bit surprised to hear 3900 php BF, and that doesn't include the girl payment, which was going to be upwards of 4 - 5 k, so bit pricey for me. Back outside there were probably 20 or more girls, as well as some non girls, like AC they will offer to find you a real girl for a small tip. Anyway I ended up asking one girl about prices and she started at 2 k and soon dropped to 1500, so I took her for that. She was small, slim and 26, nice friendly type. She started with a massage which soon turned to nuru with oil and was very pleasant. She moved on to BJ which was her main offering, but having felt how tight her pussy was I had to try that too, really nice. I did use condom for that though. Marriage to these upper class Filipinas would be absolute hell. They are pushy, rude, arrogant and high stress. If mongers want to marry, then find a educated girl in the provinces who works as a teacher, nurse etc.

Burgos barfines have been 10 drinks for years now. That works out to 3500 or 3900 depending where you are. 3,4,5,6000 tips for LT are the norm depending on all the usual criteria. You did well to get out of there for 2 k.

Makati updates.

Pic #1: Inside the new Bourbon bar on Burgos. Live band nightly. Good atmosphere. Pricey and limited food options, but decent drink prices. This is the odd place with GRO's that won't admit to being GRO (yet they can be barfined). Sometimes they hang at the tables outside the bar, sometimes inside.

Pic #2: The restaurant / sports bar at the base of Red Planet has re-opened. Pre-covid the menu was identical to the Howzat menu (not sure if its the same now).

Pic #3: Covid booster shot clinic, floor 2 of Circuit Mall, Makati (not far from City Hall). Get a fast free booster if you present any previous vax card and ID.

You've actually got it ass backwards. The truely uber wealthy have nothing to prove and are actually pretty nice to deal with. Big proviso is that you are not trying to get something out of them. They do absolutely hate the pretenders and wannabes and are merciless in making them jump through hoops to see how much shit they will actually tolerate for a few crumbs. It's probably these wannabes that you are talking about. They have no interest beyond them selves and only stick around if there is something in it for them. Actresses and models jump to mind. Contrast the up and comers with those that actually own the studios & production houses. Chalk and cheese.
