Following the general advice on the forum against paying advances, I asked her if she is ok if we meet before and I pay full cash directly before the deed, she went silent. No response after that.

This case seems to be interesting. Because PayPal Accounts are Verified ones which you can easily though Get the Money back. But I don't see this as a Business Deal. My 2 Cents.

Don't beleive them, but you an always negotiate for a token advance of 1000 or so. If they say 'Yes' and if they don't turn up then we end up loosing only 1000. Its your call mate.
