Vientiane

I renewed my 1 year business visa. It cost me more this year to fix it than last year. I guess more and more people are using this to stay long term.

Forgot about this forum and have not posted for a long time. Decided to post on Vientiane. Have been in Vientiane for a month just finished my one month apartment rental, I will be going up north.

I rented a car so I tried to discovered more new places. I went around the usual hotel pick ups a few times, the level is getting worse, but took quite a few of them anyway. Tihow and Sosaphone have raised the ST price to 350 K and over night to 600 K. LOD 1,2, Wonderland, Mekong, stay same 300 K. Tried a few here and there, but all just straight open leg boom boom. No one even close to give any blow job. Chinese customers everywhere, I mean everywhere.

A few times, the tuk tuk drivers took me to many Vietnamese houses, they are scattered all over town, 3-5 ladies in each house, these houses are just ordinary private houses, some disguise as massage shop or salon shop, but many just ordinary houses. Price is chaotic depend the shop mamasan and your bargain skill and tuk tuk's commission. I paid between 250 K to 350 K. Viet girls have a better service.

I found this time there are some local restaurants with girls for take out. They are on the Kamphengmueng road on the right side of town where the trucks pass to avoid the city. Found about at least 6 restaurants with ladies and surprised to see quite a few decent ones. But price quote for LT was from 500 k-600 k. Girls drink with customers in the shops and mamasan always want you to take girls later after 10 PM.

There are still lots of new places popping up outskirt of the city all the time. Lots of small brothels or hotel restaurant brothels with few girls. But this time spent a month, and went through 15 or so ladies, did not have any memorable ones with Lao girl, had 2 nice session with Viet, that's it.

Moving on to the greener territory up north where all my regulars are waiting for me.

Nice reports from your forum. To sum it all up would be a great way to review. Travelling to VTE for Visa run from CNX 3 Aug. Looking at Lao Golden Hotel as accommodation. Any word on if this place is Take Away Service friendly. Does anyone have a better suggestion for hotels allowing female guests ST or LT?

Or is this only a report forum?

Or is this only a report forum?[/QUOTE]Lao Golden is a long way away from the center of action Slick. I suggest that you look at hotels nearer to the so-called fountain that appears on maps as "Nam Phu".

Also "That Dam" or the black stupa is also a good reference point.

Look for hotels around that central area along Rue Samsenthai, Rue Setthatirath or Fa Ngum (which is the long road closest to the Mekong), or any of the streets linking between these 3 parallel streets.

I just returned after working in Laos and Thailand, and there are literally 100's of small hotels popping up everywhere. Do a thorough search of Agoda or [URL]Hotels.com[/URL] and pick a place that suits you according to your budget.

It's difficult to predict about GF hotels as every one I have ever stayed in has had signs saying no guests in rooms unless married (ambiguous, I know) but some of these same places turn a blind eye. If you read the forum here you will see some posts about Lao PLaza (a 5-star place) having a joiner fee. Many of the FLs working the few bars, discos etc have their own hotel rooms in cheap places reasonably close to the city center.

Preparing for my maiden voyage to Laos and have been RTFF to get my bearings. Also hitting up girls on the dating apps, seems to be plenty of girls to choose from, as well as lady boys and massage girls.

One girls keeps directing me to a particular hotel, and said she could only see me if I stay there. Did not make much sense until I RTFF more about being against the law to bring Lao girls to your room. Spending a lot of time in Indonesia, the idea of a non-girl friendly hotel is mind boggling haha. The hotel she wants me to stay in is very cheap, so might get a nice place on the company expense and then also get the cheap one just to shag her and others in.

Stay in a nice hotel and use the cheap one for ST.

Many of the girls at Bor Pen Yang who come from out of Vientiane either stay in small, cheaper places not far away from the bar or, if they are tied up with family, they will take you to a cheap place that they know is OK to use.

I am being bussed into Vientiane on a visa run next week and apparently we stay at Daokham Hotel, 2 days and 1 night only. Anybody know if that is girl friendly? And what is the best way to get where some action is, maybe bar Bor Pen Yang or any other suggestions would be great?

TH.[/QUOTE]The hotel will have 2 drivers that hang around all week with private cars. You can hire one of them. They also have the van drivers from the visa run. They will also take a group of you out if you pay for their gas. The hotel officially is not girl friendly. All your visa run mates will see you bringing the girls back or better yet they will do the walk of shame in the morning and everyone will see her exit your room in the AM. Keep in mind it is ileagal to have sex with a Laos girl when you are not married. Off the record, after midnight the hotel staff sleep on the floor in the lobby and you can easily take your guest inside and in the morning she can exit if she goes around 6 AM without being noticed. I have done it on multiple occasions with this same hotel and visa run in the past. I always do my yearly non B visa in Laos.

I have been reading up on the Vientaine thread for an hour or so. Thanks guys for all the details and tips. As my title says. "I have a dilemma. " and I could use some feedback.

I am from California, in Prague now (freak'and crazy fun here), will be in Dubai tomorrow for the week and scheduled to arrive in Vientiane on Saturday (19-22 Sep, maybe longer) and Bangkok through the following week. (28-30th, have not set an exit as of yet).

I feel that I have a different situation (dilemma really) than most and I will briefly explain. Let me say first that I have been in the monger-lifestyle for many years. None of this is new. I have been dating a Lao / Thai girl in Cali for over 2 yrs now and she is freak'and awesome. I am 41 and she is 39. Luckily we both look in our early-to-mid 30's. But, I feel I am at the point that I need to get serious or let her go. At our age, it's not fare for her if I continue without a full commitment. My trouble is that I can't make a decision until I see Laos and Thailand and experience other beautiful Lao and Thai women. This is selfish (hopefully you guys get this), but I know myself and if I don't get this out of my system, I will always have it in my head.

I have built a small summary of where to go to eat, night life, massage, etc. (again, chats were a big help) If you have any direct contacts in (or your are in) Vientaine or Bangkok and can get together please read out and let me know. I do need confirmation on where to stay in Vientaine. Small hotel near BPY or should I pay more for Lao or Vientaine Plaza Hotel, and if so, why?

[/QUOTE] It seems you are putting Laos and Thailand into a similar box and treating them as though they are the same. They are very very different and you will soon realize that factor when you visit. Thailand is much "simpler" and has a definite "red light area" and so you will experience Thai women much more easily than you will Lao women.

If you have done your homework, you should have a good idea about your plan of attack in Vientiane. Small hotels near BPY are more accepting of girls in the premises. Inter-city hotel is next door to BPY and is GF. Vientiane Plaza is further away from BPY (but still a pleasant walk) and has the advantage of a massage place with a fishbowl and FS. Lao Plaza is another class up and some guys have found they needed to pay a joiner fee. Security is more strict and obvious at Lao Plaza.

Rare I am on this thread but Ducati was called out in the UAE forum yesterday for 6 FRs and 6 questions and no contribution. Maybe he has changed his tack and says he has RTFF (I doubt) but I questioned him on Prague as I know that well and no reply, others (eg Khundig) also but nothing from them either for Dubai.

I tried multiple VPN's to get around it with no luck. I originally posted while in Prague and left for Dubai shortly after. I just arrived to the hotel in Bangkok and was able to log-in. I am definitely not the "take-only" type. I will go backwards in the thread and add replies today.

Although this is my first trip to Thailand and Laos, I have researched Laos enough to see the differences and from stories and other sources I feel I have a pretty good idea of the simplicity in BKK.

My post was motivated to experience Vientiane as accurately as possible because I was planning to be there this afternoon. My friend and I decided at the airport in Dubai to move Laos to later this week and stay in BKK for the weekend. So we changed out flight schedule. We are in BKK now and I will not ask blindly "what to do", before taking some time and researching pasted threads specific to BKK. But, if there are any simple cut-and-pastes you can do, it would save a bit of time.
