Mybe I'll run into you ate Michelle or Suenos real. I don't really get to those places much. If I am bored or need to wait for my girlfriend while she is at the salon or at her computer class, I sometimes stop by and have a beer. Her computer school is literally a block away from mona lisa.

I just have a few beers, buy some for the
chicas and chill. Haven't actually gotten a massage in a long time. Even then it was rare.

If they had Internet Flash and a WAP at Spa Michelle or Suenos real they would attract more customers

I know DSL is available in Gazcue where the massage places are located.

Think about it, I could check my email at an internet cafe with crappy dial up, using crappy machines or with DSL on
my laptop while drinking beer and hanging with the chicas enjoying the "show".

Heck if I didn't have DSL in my apartment I'd be there every day. If ya ever need to upload or FTP large amounts of files, let me know, I've got broadband, nice computers etc etc etc.

After reading these posts for the last few months, I have to go to the DR and experience it for myself. *******, you should be a DR tourism dept. employee for all the reports you give. I'm a closet mongerer and I want to find somebody to go down with, or hang out with. A partners in crime kind of thing. I live in NY and I have vacation for these weeks: Feb 15-23 and April 17-27. I'm new to the board and have been looking around to gather info for a trip to the DR I am planning to take this Spring. There has been plenty of great info here on places and prices as regards the delectable chicas. Thanks to all who posted such useful information.

I would also like to whet my other appetites for pleasure while I am in the DR. Can anybody post info on recreational pharmaceuticals? Availability, pricing, quality, who NOT to deal with and who, in very general terms, can you deal with on such matters? What is local law enforcement's attitude on purchase and usage? What are the penalties one would face if bagged holding?

Also, can anybody post the contact info of a good doctor who speaks English? I'd like to have that in my wallet as a just in case kind of thing (especially after reading *******'s report as regards his recent forays with medical assistance). Also, as I like to "Be Prepared" as I was taught in the Boy Scouts can anyone post the contact info for a good English speaking criminal attorney in the DR?

How about Tour Guides? Anyone that you feel should be recommended? Anyone that you feel should be avoided? I am looking for a room with DSL, any recommendations?

I would also like to know if any establishment specializes in employing English speaking chicas.

At the time I am writing this I am leaning toward The Palace as my first dip in the pleasure of the DR, any advice against such?

Hi Guys,

I am looking for cheap flights from MIA to POP. The best rate I found so far is 228 RT. That was on AA. My dates are flexible and I am targeting to depart sometime in the spring. Anyone have a better rate or looking for parties to add to a charter?

Has anyone used a chartered flight before? I like the lack of hassle with security in using a chartered flight. The TSA is so obnoxious. I like my travel with as little fuss as possible.

Two hours is a decent flight time for me. That I can handle. Any airlines I should avoid? What's the deal with currency exchanges? I usually find that airports are a rip-off. What's the best places for the best rates?

Anyone else planning for the Spring? It looks like I will try the Palace for my first trip to the DR. I called John there the other day and he said the Penthouse will be ready real soon. $100/night. What's your take on that guys? I'm thinking of going for it because, hey, what the fuck, I'm on vacation, you know. I just have to make sure it has air conditioning and I can order all my *amenities* in. ;-)

I have never tried Viagra but plan to on this trip. Anyone have any advice as regards contraindications with recreational pharmaceuticals? I'm all ears.

I just dig the idea that I can walk in off the street and buy V over the counter. Outstanding! My kind of place.

What about paraphernalia as regards rec. drugs? I am more than a little leery traveling with such. Do they have paraphernalia shops (head shops) in the DR? I can usually make what I need in a pinch at a local housewares store in the US. Any equivalent in the DR?

What about sex toys? I don't relish the idea of some TSA thug pulling out a two to three foot dildo from my bag that I was bring to facilitate an ass-to-ass show. Do they have any for sale in Sosua or anywhere else in the DR for that matter? What about mailing stuff ahead? Is that cool? Is it common practice? I could Fed Ex my package out the same day as my flight and be in the DR the next day to sign for it. Anyone here have any experience with that?

Anyone planning on traveling in the Spring give me a shout out. Maybe we can hook up for a couple of cervezas at the Palace.

Any language schools in the DR? I wouldn't mind spending a few months learning Spanish in an immersion program if the price was right (and I could always write it off).

I wonder if I could swing a Fullbrite Scholarship for such...

That would be a hoot! Uncle Sam paying the bills for one's time in the DR. I always did enjoy creative financing. ;-)

We at Mr. Particular have lived in the DR for more than four years and, believe us, there is more than speaking Spanish in the DR than simply learning Spanish. There are many different dialects used, in many ways you can compare it to the various forms of English that are used in parts of the US; the cold, hard truth is: that many people from different areas and different social standings, speak a whole different form of Spanish, and in many cases, cannot even understand each other, without great effort. We also have teaching experience in Dominican educational environments and may be able to work something out with you as far as fast-tracking your communication skills.

Puerto Plata (POP). flight leaves Miami daily at about 11:20. arrives in pop at 2:30 or so. Jesus from the Palace will be waiting for you. John welcomes you at the Palace at 3pm, 3:05 Luca takes your bags to your suite, 3:07 you are getting blown by a goregueos 18 year old, you finish the scedule.

Why POP and the Palace?

Flight is shortest

Smaller airport, less crowds less hassles, faster immigration.

Airport is closer to a monger destination.

John at the Palace will show you around quickly for money exchange, restaurants, disco, bars.

At the Palace you can find plenty of afternoon action, which is sometimes hard to come by in Boca Chica or Santo Domingo.
and this is a must for a two day stay in my opinion.

With a short stay like that make sure you have vitamin v. If not John can get it for you.

Great fucking post. I have emailed this post to some of my friends who are sitting on the fence about going to Sosua. They have now fallen off. I will believe it though when I see these guys banging some nice dominican chicks. Are you going to be down there Apr 24th-Apr 29th? I am looking to rage that town like a bunch of drunken pirates.

I think Santo Domingo is a better place for 2 day trip if you do not need the "support network" of Sosua. Heck as soon as ya leave the airport in SDQ, you can stop at Pacos which is maybe 5 minutes away. Stay at a hotel in Gazcue area and there are maybe 6 massage places open in the day time within walking distance etc.

The way I look at it, because of sheaper prices, Sosua might be a good idea if staying a long time and trying to do it on the cheap. If you are only going for 2-3 days, money is usually less of a factor.

The quality of women in SD is certainly higher than Boca or Sosua.

Santiago is another option but the places are spread out too far.

In SD, if you stay at say Juragua, or Casona Dorada etc, you can walk to:
