Richard Rams,
Is this the bar right outside the disco? If so, I have never seen any good looking girls in that bar except maybe those just having a drink with farangs. My usual stay at Nana Hotel when I walk by I usually see the regular old and I mean old ladies sitting near the elevator. Would one of them be Zoe? No matter how often I stay at Nana I always get a good laugh when I walk by and see these old ladies. Can't help to think who the hell would pick them that they are always sitting there night after night. Maybe they do get pick my the near dead drunks going back to their rooms via elevator maybe that's why from time to time I hear screaming in the early mornings!

The Ambassador
Does anyone know the "real" prices?
I was quoted..4600 S 5600 SL and 6600 (SM) bhat and I thought I was being quoted Farang prices so I walked out...the girls, however, were gorgeous...
Also I was taken to cupidy massage by one of the tuk buggies...the manager thought I was easy prey..quoted me 4000 baht--ordered water chatted with a fellow monger who told me the actual price...ended up walking out of there to the dismay of the mgr...
Spent most of my time in Pattaya where I payed 700 ST and 1K LT for stunners...I will fire up a report soon

LBM
Golden Bar is in front of Nana Hotel overlooking entrance to NEP. All the BarGirls wear the same colour tops, different colour for different day e.g Monday Yellow, Tuesday Pink etc. Girls not in your face, if you like one buy a drink if not don't and look around. When I was there last week the majority were 20-25 year old. a few were 30+ but none old hags. I don't drink so I don't have BeerGoggle Vision. Zoe was small stunning and a veritable gymnast in the sack and very streetwise. Barfine in Golden was 350baht and ST prices for them was 1500-2000 baht. Tryed more than one. Younger Girls less experienced.
I met a lady who spelled her name Moi and pronounced it Moy as in toy.
Pink Pearl,
I already knew that.
As OTH and I speak Thai and you don't, I think you missed the subtleties of my question re the pronunciation.
There are 5 tones in Thai which affect the pitch of a syllable.
With the wrong pitch, the word comes out quite wrong and Thai people may misunderstand.
That is what I was asking OTH about as I am unfamiliar with this Thai name but OTH isn't.

No Alcohol
Some bad news for all alcohol lovers amongst us:
Bars in Bangkok (Thailand) are not allowed to sell alcohol
from Friday, 14.12.2007, 6 pm to Sunday 16.12.2007, 6 pm
and
from Saturday, 22.12.2007, 6 pm to Sunday 23.12.2007, Midnight.
As we heard most of the bars in Soi Nana, Soi Cowboy and Soi 33 will be closed on those days.
Background is the upcoming general elections in Thailand. I am not sure about why we have to stop selling alcohol the next weekend already (14. - 16.12.2007), they talk about something like pre-elections, obviously the people can already vote at special locations next weekend.
Livingstone's will be open, but we will NOT sell any alcohol.

Even though I won't be there during that period, G, I have a question. Can guests buy alcohol at the market the day before and consume it on premises, for example, sit at the pool with a bottle, or not? Can they bring it into the lounge?
Also will the mini bar be filled on an as needed basis?
Just curious.

Mini bar and comsumption in the room - no problem. Buying alcohol the day before and consumption in the room - no problem.
Drinking alcohol around the swimming pool will most likely bring the owner / manager of Livingstone's directly into jail. Even if you bought it privately the day before - nobody will believe that.
We called our friends in brown today, to discuss the problem of selling alcohol to our hotel guests. They told us: If we do --> Giotto --> Jail. It is serious this time, and they will check the bars.
Good luck to all of you. Bangkok Hilton is no fun at all, as I heard :) ...
Senior Mongerers,
I need some help,I will be at Bangkok at The Ambassador Hotel, later this month, but with Family.I hear at the Health Club,if one asks for a massage, one can get"extras" too,is it true?
For that is going to be my only chance to have fun,I look forward to hear from Senior Mongerers.
Bye
I was in your situation a couple of weeks ago, my wife and I stayed not far from your hotel at Swiss Park and if you are out only for a massage with happy ending I would recommend Sabai Sabai. You will find it in the lane behind 7/11 in Soi 11 (right side if you are heading towards Sukumvit). They provide fairly good massage and the girls offer hand job at least. OR you can do like I did. I went looking for mc-parts in a shop far away... and be away for at least 2 hours. I knew my wife would not be interested in following... you can read my report here:

Hollywood
I was at Hollywood pub around 11.00pm. The place was very big and crowded. They even have security checking at entrance similar to those at the hotel or airport. There are mostly Thais there but some other nations as well.
There were some singers singing and some dancers doing performance. I was told the good show only start after 12.00 midnight.
Most of the people there were drinking Johnny Walker but I found out later it was not. The bottle is very similar. The singer would take a sip or two of the drinks and were rewarded with tips.
At about 12.00 midnight the music got hotter and some 20 young girls dancing with their sexy dresses.
I left before 12.30 am and realised later that I have missed the real fun at Hollywood, the topless dancers!!
Btw, confirmed the previous reports on video were taken from Hollywood:

Fast eddie 48
Fast Eddie 48,
It should be for all Thailand - but it is basically up to the local police what regulation they impose in a specific area.
I don't know for sure the regulations for Pattaya, but I expect that it will be the same as in Bangkok.

Do you even have to empty the minibars?
Thailand is getting more and more insane. Thank god I don't have to live there. Maybe the Gouvernment doesn't allow alcohol so that the Thais don't get drunk before voting and forget which which vote they have been paid for.
In Hong Kong when a restaurant has the alcohol license pending they would allow customers dining in to bring their own. Would that be an idea? Of course every one has to stock up early.

We are open, the girls are working. Our place is usually packed on those days, because not many bars will open in Soi 33.
