Hey Chuponalgas,
With your legal history you should probably be careful about jokes involving elementary schools. Doesn't that violate your probation or something?

Simple Man and Frijole,
I didn't mean to support Chuponalgas in uncalled hits on you guys. If his message was meant to insult both of you, than none of it is funny at all. I just thought the nature of the post was to relax a bit and get a laugh (although I wouldn't want that to happen at anyone's expense). I just thought it was a joke between buddies (do not know the history between your relationship, if any). I am sorry to be so much of an unpolitical idiot when it comes to these types of things. If there are 5 interpretations on something, and only one of them involves having a non-threatening and non-disruptive message, then that's the one I normally pick. That helps me keeping faith in humanity as a whole.

Antifreeze, thank you for the apology but it was completely unnecessary. Frijole, Chuponalgas and I do all know each other and absent knowledge of personal history the story is pretty funny. But with personal knowledge some of the things put in his story have a meaning that is quite offensive to both Frijole and myself.
Apparently, like an immature child Chuponalgas is lashing out because he somehow feels that he was slighted by not being invited to travel with us to Colombia. This ignores the facts that he had previous travel plans to another location, that our trip was finalized at the last minute and that Chuponalgas does not like Colombia. Despite his numerous posts, he lasted a total of three days in Cali, barely leaving his hotel and on his lone trip to Medellin holed up in his room and ventured out only to eat.
Regardless, any issues between us are personal and should remain private unless Chuponalgas chooses otherwise.
Neener x3. Guess I have to put a big THIS IS A JOKE sign on my funnies for you serious types!! Hey do they have a Western Union office in Cali???? LOL xo CN
Dear Mongers,
Simple Man and Frijole are always standing up for each other, they are bi-sexual lovers. I have heard this from Chuponalgas.
Beware of Simple man and Frijole, they are very sneaky.
KOS
Caballeros: Let us cease this off topic discussion and return to ON topic material like: how dangerous Cali is for gringos, or how the chicas are so much less friendly than in Cartagena, how the only casa with lookers is Flores Frescas or, better yet, how Cali is really overrated.
Yeah, anyone know where I can save 10 cents on ATM fees, LOL?
Chupolongas: ATM fees are more onpoint than you carrying on your petty little love triangle with Simpleman & Frijole here on the board. Antifreeze is out of the country and will not be posting for some period, and even he subsequently realized his error by applauding your ridiculous post. I am NOT "taking sides" as I couldn't give a mierda why they did not invite you to join them on their trip (and I doubt anybody else cares either).
Chuponalgas,
Isn' t your time too precious to post something like your last post (Yeah, anyone know where I can save 10 cents on ATM fees, LOL?)??? I tought you were all too busy for things that you judged unimportant.
I am in the boring states of America (upstate Vermont) and I truly wonder how they reproduce up here. I miss my girls in Colombia. Seriously, I end up thinking a lot about Melissa from FF, Andrea and Paulina. I don't know if I can be saved and start thinking about my wife a bit more? On the other hand, I do have better ATM support up here (LOL Chuponalgas and other mongers that are way too busy to read posts that are judged irrelevant, but not anymore when the time comes to post insignificant ones).
While Chuponalgas laughs loudly at me with ATM issues, I live the dream down in Colombia by addressing issues such as this one. I've seen more people happy making 100$/month in Colombia that I've seen people happy making $100K/year in the States. Chuponalgas may be one of these persons that truly would want a life like the one I have in Colombia, but with not enough balls to go and get it. I don't know Chuponalgas, but it seems compatible with the character of these people that often trivialize accomplishment or chararcter of others to better endure their own lack of character. Living the expat life is not easy when it comes to using resources like wsg and having to deal with noise like this to get and often distribute information. But it has it's rewards. Anyway, I've taken enough of your time Chuponalgas, you're a busy man... Go back to your busy life.

Senor Freeze ...
Very well put sir ... I'll tell you what, I spend about half the month in S. America ... Colombia (Medellin) and Venezuela and I can't wait to when I can do it full time.
What you said about people in Colombia that make very little $$ but are content and happy versus the dude making big $$ in the US but is miserable is right on ...
As for guys that don't appreciate your posts or any other informative post here ... who cares? I usually hastily scan their silly remarks and chalk it up to "just another moron" and I could care less ... they are very easy to ignore.
Take care.
Sheesh, again for my learning-impaired friends, THAT WAS A JOKE, YOU CAN LAUGH NOW!!!
Hey Freeze, I do know chupanalgas and I think your remarks were right on.
Not many here would call it a joke, I mean, it's just not funny.
Regarding ATMs, BofA has waived all ATM surcharges for each of my three trips to Colombia.
Just call them in advance of any trip, ask where their ATMs are in Colombia, and when they tell you they have none, request that they document the record or your account with notes of the discussion and that you will request all fees to be reversed as they have no support for you in Colombia. I am charged $2/withdrawl but when I call they credit my account in whole.
I don't have a lot to offer from my recent travel, as I had no opportunity to hobby. But I will offer some updates on various city info.
I still love the Plaza Las Americas. Corporate rate for double occupancy is 107.000, including room service fixed plan breakfast and no charge for local landline calls. Pool is due to open in January.
I visited a room at the CoraSuites, on Av 9N 17N-31, 667-6021 or 667-8414. I found it not nearly as nice as PLA, but the price is much lower at 80-something.000.
There is a dive shop named Aqua Buzos in Versailles neighborhood, Calle 24N 5BN-57, 667-1600. The proprietor is Diego Alfredo Hurtado O'Byrne, and he is very knowledgable on scuba in Colombia (Gorgonia, San Andrés, Providencia, Caribbean coast).
Leo,

If you have a BofA Visa debit card, there are 140 Visa Plus network ATMs in Cali, Colombia. BofA does not charge for ATM withdrawals from those ATMs.
From a BofA FAQ:
What are the fees for using an ATM? Bank of America customers can withdraw cash with their Bank of America Check Card or ATM Card without a fee at nearly 13,000 Bank of America ATMs in the United States and at over 12,000 international ATMs operated by members of the Global ATM Alliance

Dear Fellow Mongers,
I am coming to Colombia and I want to spend one month in Cali and One month in Medellin.
HERE is my dilema, it appears the only way to travel between Cali and Medellin is by plane (safetly) but I am encountering a round-trip price off the internet of about $250.
Please someone tell me where and how to make this journey more affordably, $250 is just crazy.
Please help me,
Master Monger
