Sure, EVERYTHING'S relative if that's how you choose to look at it. But not this time! In this case the cost is not relative - it is absolute.

He's in a foreign country, knows no one, cant fuck, cant even leave the hotel! Doesn't know what he has which causes anxiety and makes the symptoms/situation even worse.

If he has trouble paying $151 for a medical visit in his home country then he surely has problems. If he flew to another country (possibly thousands of miles away) not speaking the language, without his home protection (medical, etc.), without enough money to cover a $151 EMERGENCY medical visit then he has bigger problems and might re-consider his approach to leisure travel...

Planning my next trip to BKK, I need advice on the freelancers scene outside the usaual p4p hot spots that am familiar with such as NEP, PP, SC or Sukhmvit beer gardens. I RTFF but don\'t seem to find the equivelant in BKK of the malls scene in Jakarta, Philipinese or OT in Sigapore. Didn't notice any major action in places like paragon or MBK. Am I shortsighted or am I not looking in the right places.

Nic Frenchy is in Thailand more often than not -or it would appear so. he knows the ropes. We have no idea what he paid 5000bt for, but for those of us who spend a significant amount of time here in Thailand, that is a lot of money.

I do not know Bumrungrad Hospital personally, but I am aware that it is on a par with Bangkok Pattaya Hospital, where prices are up to 10 times the norm found throughout much of Thailand. My daughter was recently charged 18000bt (insurance paid) for 1 night stay investigating the possibility of swine flu - which it was not! In the Isaan area of thailand a similar stay with similar tests would cost less than 2000bt.

It would be interesting to hear what exactly Nic got for his 5000bt.

okey, now im completely confused. the doctor told me the test with the stick into my dick was chlamydia test, but on internet (never done any of all these test execpt hiv before) i reed that urin is used. so, i just called back the hospital and asked whats up. now they are telling me in chlamydia tests either stick or urin is used. aha, so why the hell did he use the painfull stick in my dick (that now is hurting) if he would not test gonorrhoea at all even if i asked for it? damn, all this is driving me even more crazy now.

Kid Ick, any doctor in Thailand that actually tests you for chlamydia and gonhorrea is over-doing it, perhaps partially to pad your bill or perhaps just to reassure the nervous Westerner.

The way to treat these ailments is to immediately take the fairly cheap antibiotics: Usually 1 gram of azithromycin will kill both, but if you want to be super certain take 1 gram of the above and also 400 mg of 'Cefspan' (cefixime).

Most doctors in Thailand who charge the fair/reasonable rate (200-500 baht per visit) will not even look at your weeping penis - its not really necessary.

If you read the forum then you would see there are no reports about major free lance markets around MBK and Paragon etc... That is because there is not any free lance scene. I have picked up a girl that is a sales girl at Paragon and a phone sales girl at MBK for example but they were NOT p4p and there is not free lance scene there.
