Fortunately they have not pulled me over. A few nights ago I saw a group of about 12 teenagers spray painting a wall that is part of some relatively new townhomes. Two were doing the actual work and about 10 were looking on. They were taking their time and in no hurry as if they were at a picnic or barbeque. Where was the police then?

Can't you read the papers they are doing crackdowns since so many bad things are being written about them doing nothing. So instead of really doing something they are compaigning this month since they got some fresh new money to waste. There are sign all over Pattaya with police officier picture trying to educate everyone to not drink and drive, wear your helmet etc.
Today, got stop on the darkside on Siam Country Road. On the railroad tracks. Pull me over spoke to me in Thai, I spoke back. Told him who I was and where from. He was impressed. Ask me for my license and he told me that it was only for car. I pulled out my International which was expired told him I can drive motorbike, fly airplane, drive bus and tractor traiter. Here is my insurance paper, registration, passport with visa stamp and personal card from the Attorney General of Thailand for the corruption against Expat. I basically kiss his ass every which way telling him that his English was very good and that I was impress. I think he wanted to be my friend and have a drink but I said I was a family man and didn't go out much.

But I was staying at the Millennium Grand Hotel, which does not permit taxis to line up at the entrance. I could have walked out the front door to Asok and hailed a taxi at the curb, of course. But it was nice to have one waiting. As I was settling my bill in the club lounge, I got a call saying my driver had arrived and he was standing by at the rear entrance. By the time I got downstairs the bellman had loaded the luggage and I was on my way. Very, very civilized.

I will be in Pattaya about 10 days. Can someone say anything about how Pattaya is right now? Are there many tourists? Are there many working-girls as it was in December? And how about the on-going prices right now? Is it possible to negotiate the prices as it is low-season now?

Yesterday I was not allowed inside Farenheit as I am Indian. Could anybody help me with the contacts of the Manager or Mamasan.
I have not faced such a situation in Baccara, Cavern, Living Dolls etc. I know some of the Managers and owners of these clubs personally such as Mac of Baccara, Peter of Super Girl (Soi Diamond) , Ler of Silver Star etc. Even in next door Alcatraz, I did not have any problem.
I will appreciate a quick response as I have only one more night today. If any one wishes to join me, you are welcome.

Hey guys, I've got a newbie question for you. I just came from San Jose CR and plan on being in Pattaya in a few weeks. While I know the two towns can't compare, there was NOTHING to do in San Jose other than the girls. I know what forum I'm on but are there other things to keep busy with besides the girls or is that pretty much it? Maybe it was also worse in SJ because you get a quick pop and then they're off so you're left alone with nothing to do but recharge for the next one whereas it seems like in Patts sometimes the problem is getting them to leave haha. Thanks guys!

You can go to the beach, watch the shows in gogos, go to a Muay Thai fight, windsurf, rent a scooter or bicycle, go to Koh Larn, go to the elephant farm, eat world class cuisine. Some of the beer bars are run by Australians and you can hang out all day drinking with them. Many girls will be happy to be your guides and take you around to these sites. Sadly it is not advised to rent a jet ski.

I been to San jose a few time and I go to Pattaya 2 time a yr, mongering is much better in Pattaya but there are more thing to do in San Jose you can go to the casino to play poker or take a eco tour, it is very beautiful place you just need to get out of the city go to some of the national park and beach in CR.
