Today is a national holiday in Brazil. Nossa Senhora de Aparecida or something. And it's like the 260th anniversary of Banco do Brasil. Look at that, nearly 3 centuries of fucking over the consumer, good job guys! Anyway, we worked all day so around 8pm I checked out to walk over to Monte Carlo. Which was closed. Sad panda.
Not wanting to let my 1. 5 pills of V go to waste, I headed for L'Uomo. Packed inside, maybe 15-20 guys. Probably the only open place. Walked into the bathroom to shower and there are 4 Asian guys (Chinese?) standing by the sink smoking cigarettes. So. (1) how addicted to nicotine are you that you hang out with your buddies in robes in front of 2 shitters, just to have a hit; and (2) move the fuck out of my way. Seriously they wouldn't move and I had to push past them. Ugh.
Probably 20 or so girls in the boate. None were really doable to me. Thought I'd sit down and ride it out to see what talent emerged. Some large mulatta sat next to me and asks if she can have a drink of my water. From the bottle. I'm like, um, sure if you get a cup. She's like,"Well can you buy me another water?" And I looked shocked and said "You want me to buy you a water for no reason?" She said I could make up a reason. I'm like, um maybe later. So I'm looking around and really my brothers, I tell you the talent level is low. Lots of chub-chub and chicks who really have no business in a bikini. Or a one-piece, which many are wearing and should tell you something.
I finally see the girl I boned last time. Maluu or something. And I'm tempted this late in the game. She sits with me a bit but I explain I haven't decided yet and I don't want to get in her way. Seriously like 10 mins later she is sucking face with some Asian dude and they are off to the cabine within another 5 mins. Shrug. Headed out to face the piper: R$70 for my shower (entrada) and R$5 for my water. Ack.
I'm talking to the receptionist and explaining that I was "without luck" today. She's like, why? And I explain that after a year of living her, I'm a bit more accustomed to things. She says "Yeah, you become more critical especially when you see really hot girls outside here on the street." I'm like, you got it sister!
I really can't justify paying Tier 1 terma prices for below average chicks. Especially when you can get some great girls, with effort and time, who come over for between R$0-R$200 and stay several hours and hang out. Just last night a girl I know from MC waited in Copa for me until 10pm when I left work, just to have a drink and a bite to eat with me. I would have tried for more, but I was exhausted. I have no idea why she hangs out with me. I don't pay her a lot. But she's cool. So I weigh that vs. Nights like tonight.

Kids were off school. Trust me, it is a much bigger holiday than father's day which hardly anyone celebrates (25% of Brazilians don't even have a father listed on their birth certificate).
Bank of Brazil is on strike and their offices are closed. So is the post office from what I understand. Just one more excuse why Brazilians aren't paying their bills.

One of my friends in Rio swears that they shut down the kitchens in the Marriott and the Sofitel hotel because they were serving food that was past its expiration date and a number of tourists had complained about being sick after eating there. This scared the shit out of me because if they can serve old food in the high end hotels in Copa, imagine how fucked up the food is in places like Monchique, Galeao or Kice Suco!

The hotels were Marriot, Sofitel, Pestana and Rio Othon Palace.

For the guys that went to Brazil in the 80's or 90's- what do you think of all the talk of the girls in brazil getting fatter. Is it just guys getting spoiled or are they really alot fatter than they were back then.
I have been reading the forum for a while and I am surprised that I am the only person who like Barbarella's, Ciccolini (?) or Erotika. I probably run around to these places less, only going once or twice a month but I love them. I go out with friends and after having a great night that ends a bit early, I then run through a couple of these places. Or when I have some gringos in town, we head over there. Even Barbarella's is suffering from a talent drought but it is rare that you don't see some real stunners.
In a few more years the Copa scene will be dead at the rate it is declining, and then I will have to find a new place to live.

They bust places all the time, Suco Bars are probably the worst offenders. It is actually quite common for people in their houses to eat food that has gone past the expiry date, so I guess the same workers that toil at the local eateries don't think twice about it. As long as the food smells ok they will eat it, even if it is past its expiry date.

Can you provide more useful details about your recent visits to these places? Like: what were the asking prices for what time / service, what did you end up negotiating / paying, what services were provided, etc?
Last time I was in barbarella a 7/10 chick wanted r500 as her ask and wouldn't budge even after I explained in live here and never pay more than r200.
I think you can find hotter chicks on hotside for r300.

Brasilians greediness has no limits. They are the most untrustworthy people on the planet IMO.
