Dubai - Hotel Information

You are so right, more questions than answers and even when those are answered the question poster never comes back with a report on their stay and feedback. Information is truly lacking.

Try Arjan Rotana. They are coming up with rates in the range you have mentioned. Direct site has a weekly rate option as well.

They have a reasonably well appointed kitchenet I am told (I am looking for that sort of stuff)

Sorry to say this but I stayed here yes they allow only one ID visitor per stay! So I called later for another recent stay to see if thier policy has changed and again reception confirmed one visitor per stay.

I guess it depends how you ask the question or the person who answers. , I suggest you Call and speak to Manager Roger and see?

I was going to do that at one hotel but for 10 nights in a row until I found another green hotel.

Hi,

An easy Trick I use to search for guest friendly Hotel is to ask a girl or agent / Mama-san.

Before my trip I search for girls on MR I like and ask if they are still there, tell them I will be in Dubai in xy week and if they know any good hotels. Each send me 4-5 hotel names. I search the name choose the best for me.

And for the people who ask if xy hotel is green. Try using the search button her. If you don't find anything then we mostly also don't know. Asking her is useless.

Called Hyatt Regency, they allow guests but still charging Dh270 for bringing a guest to the room.

Called up the Sheraton Grand and they said as long as you register your guest, it won't be an issue.

Tried calling the Habtoor Grand Resort and the phone doesn't seem to be working. Can anyone provide info on the Habtoor policy?

You can pretend to got to one of the bars on the 4th. Besides if you sit in the hall in the evening you will see a lot of "movements."

Defo red if bringing from main entrance, cameras all over, they allow only one guest during registration and must provide details. After is not allowed.

However couple of options I could spot: there is a bar at 39th floor and one at first floor.

So with some discretion and girl being smart squeeze in to the bar then to the room.

I have seen the color coding of hotels here but it has not bothered me much as I normally get a rental car. Your Western DL are usually acceptable and is cheaper and more flexible than taxi if your stay is beyond a few days.

Typically, the car parking are either on the basement floors or the lower floors of the building. Access is normally by room key card or security guard-controlled. When I come back with a guest, there is no need to go through reception as the lifts are accessible directly from the car parking floors. So, I never have to contend with access issues. I am not the only one here operating in this mode, am I?
