There are NO Mansion-style hotels. No lots of girls in, out and around good hotels.

Places with pools? Be sure before booking that they accept you bring girls there. Some condominium has a nice pool, but oriented to families.
Try to bring a noisy girl and they will kick her out, or simply the doormen will say "sorry the pool is not for visitors" just because he might think she does not fit well there.
(I was in a good condominium in Bocagrande, I had the idea to invite a couple of my girls with me to the pool, I called the renter and he said "ok because I know you and you don't make troubles, but be sure they are decent or they will ask you to leave or will complain with me".)

There is a famous condo in Bocagrande where they even place a colored bracelet to all regular guests (registered renters). Nobody is allowed to enter the premises without the bracelet. This is done on purpose to AVOID strictly any kind of occasional visitor.

Ask him if he allows over night visitors. Most of them don't mind you bringing a guest over. They don't want crazy drunk or drugged up women running around though.

Just say no to hotels in Cartagena. Since I always wife up I could probably get away with it but I choose the apartments because it is far less likely to cause trouble. It's all about appearances.

I'll make sure to ask the vendor about access rights and visitors.

Sad to read LDV closed up in El Laguito.

This is a joke or what?? ELEKTRA is going to open again and in the same location where it was??

As you probably know, but to clarify just in case, Aldo was not managing the "new" LDV, nor did he manage the Laguito location for the 2nd half of 2016. He was relieved of his duties by the "boss".

I'll probably swing by the "new" Electra sometime before the end of this month to see what's shaking. Like you, and many others, I've had some fun times over the years at that spot.

I'm in Cartagena next week and have a question. Given that sunset is at 6 pm, and bars are supposed to close their doors at 2 am, when do the chicas start heading to the clock tower? Is it still 9 pm or has anyone noticed it happening earlier?

One downside of Cartagena is how late the action is.

I understood that bars NEAR THE SQUARE have to close at 2am. Others don't. For example, Babar and Fragma close at 4am (but they are open only at weekends). Tu Candela seems to have agreed a compromise with the police: they close the front door, but they open the back door.

Space is two blocks away, but (I don't understand this) should close at 2 am anyway. Thus, at 2 am they lower the shutter and leave people come and go raising it. Please note: Space is alive only 3am-6am. You might remember my report some months ago, when I wrote about the police coming on a Saturday night at 2am to shut it down.

Another sad thing is Eivissa, the coolest bar IMHO just one year ago, with its terrace oulooking the Reloy, dance entertainment, DJs, flame throwers, etc. The hotel nearby complained for the noise and they shot the terrace down. Now Eivissa has only indoor space. Not the same thing.

Sorry for the digression. I go back to the topic. The new regulations imposed by the new mayor have changed things a bit. Supposedly, the 2am closing time was decided to calm things down in the area (vox populi in the Square). I think he believes that it is not a good image for the city to have all that night life and the girls going around at night.

Now, what is the result? What was the only reasonable outcome of imposing all bars to close at 2am?

Before, the peak time to meet girls in the square was until 1:30am or 2am, as you say.
Now, at 2am all girls that were in the bars SWARM OUT to the square. LOL
As a matter of fact, I have never seen so many girls standing in the square at 3am or 4am as in November and December 2016. Crowded. So, plenty of opportunities even so late. The square got depleted only after 4am. At 5am, there was still some TV (not my cup of tea).

I'll report back after my trip on what hours are kept at the clocktower. In November I recall seeing them around 9 pm but I was wifed up so there was little I could do.

I'm not too keen on picking up street meat at 11 pm to 1 am.

Me and my buddy have been in Cartagena for a week now. Mainly orienting by outdated information from wiki-sex-guide, we decided to rent an apartment in Boca Grande. The club "La Dolce Vita" got closed down in this area to be reopened in the inner city of Getsemani just in walking distance from the clock tower. There are few chicas left to sell their pussy around the road of ST. Martin (Carrera 2 in Bocagrande), but not really worthwhile for mongering. I would estimate the number of chicas available between 5 and 10, spread between calle 4 and 6. Available between 9 pm And around 1 am Becoming fewer until 3 am. Prices range about 100 K Pesos, which is just the same as at the clock tower.

The quality of women at the clock tower is way better though. We've had a hand full of girls that we mainly got from there. Timing was as described in the earlier posts. We'd arrive beteen 9 pm and 11 pm, and leave with some nicely handpicked chicas around 12 pm and 1 am. They usually ask for 200.000 or 150.000 for one hour of standard sex. But up to now they all agreed on coming with us at 100.000 each after a short time of bargaining. Compared to Sosua the girls are more beautiful, less obnoxious and in a better shape. But they tend to pull the same standard shit, which is:

Brag that the hour is over after only half an hour, which can easily be met by showing the meta data of pictures we took before starting the sessions.

Trying to ask a higher price then the one agreed up front.

Actively asking for propinas at the end.

All of this doesn't cause any problems as long as you stand your ground and stick to correct business and gentleman behavior.

All together we are happy with the selection of chicas available at the clock tower. As we will have to fill another 3-4 weeks, we are now looking for further locations for mongers on a budget. Are there any other mongering spots in Cartagena where we can find girls at a maximum of 100 k pesos?

You could try asking around about casas (brothels). But if you're looking for dirt cheap prices like that your best bet is one of the casas in Medellin where you can get an hour for 60 k. Or Bogota if you go digging around that thread.

Take the time to browse back, even months or years. A couple of hours can give all the basics. I cannot refrain to repeat this and repeat to everyone: take the time to read here. You can find long reports and also short notices that save from errors. There is also the List in the companion thread. And do not forget the RoD if you want to have a look at older reports without browsing hundreds of pages.

BTW, the block where now LDV is is not in Getsemani. There have been a couple of posts in recent times which explain well the new setup and the club scene.

It's very good you negotiated hard enough to keep prices low and do not overpay, but I am not surprised girls tended to be rushy and pestered for tips. When a girl requests the standard fee 200k and gets convinced to settle down for 100k, it is quite natural. The only girls who will go for you for 100 k or less, easily, are outside the Reloy, or in Av. San Martin in Bocagrande, or in outside barrios where you don't know where to move around.
