The main issue will be that quite a lot of the crowd have their own cliques which you'll need to break into. The potential is there though and if I was your age, that's where I'd be. Your biggest barrier will be your accommodation however. Do try and do something about that. Good luck mate.

Appears the most northern venue of note is Stadium and the most southern venue of note is Club 999.

If your target is clearly on pick ups, may I suggest you that you really work out your logistics and locate yourself to minimise your travel costs. If you're looking top40, I wouldn't have thought that Stadium is the place to go to. Stick with the Kemang clubs and find a kost type of hotel / residence nearby. There's plenty of food in Kemang and the only downside is that you're a distance away from the shopping malls like Grand Indonesia / Plaza Indonesia / Pacific Place. There are still a few malls within reach to arrange your rendezvous with various girls so you're still good. You need to research the clubs in the area and target accordingly. I don't think that BATS / X2 / Red square will be on your radar unless you're able to boost your budget.

My advice is to hit the dating sites and line them up to meet for coffee / lunch / tea and work it from there. Budget to go to clubs maybe two/three nights a week and relax with the girls on the other nights. Then you'll stay well within your financial limits. The difference between the price of drinks in a nice club in Kemang and somewhere like CJs / BATS is huge (I remember a bottle costing something like half the price you'd pay in CJs / BATS). If you find the right club, buy a bottle of vodka / whisky (or whatever) and go easy. That bottle will buy you a few free entrances to the club. You'll just have to buy the mixers after you get in. Be wary that you might get stuck buying a long Island Iced Tea sooner or later. It's almost inevitable. I've been busy dating rather than clubbing of late (I'm getting a bit too old to be out clubbing) ; I'm more interested in the bedroom activities than the clubbing, but the occasional outing can be fun enough. I hope that that helps with your budget and enjoyment.

I plan to set up at least 1 date a day through online. I won't be buying any bottles. I just stick to cheap domestic beer.

Top Gun and Red Square look fun. CJ's and BATs seems like a place to go any see if I can get a hot girl to take a night off from work LOL Also have to check out Immigrant, X2, and the Stadium at least once. Along with the scene at Jl Jaksa.

I should have extra funds to break out if need be, but def looking to keep things within a 70-80 a day budget.

I had to break down all the main neighborhoods of Jakarta to get a better feel for the city.

Jakarta Neighborhood Guide.

North / Kota. Ancol, Glodok, Mengga Dua, Menga Basar, Gajah Mada, Roxy, Pasar Baru, Monas, Grogol, Kemayoran.

Central. Thamrin, Menteng, Senayan, Sudirman, Kuningan, Tebet.

South. Blok M, Mampang, Kemang, Pasar Minggu.

With the night life concentrating in Glodok, Pasar Baru, & Gajah Mada in the North. Thamrin, Senayan, & Sudirman in the Center. Blok M & Kemang in the South.

I found 2 really cheap hotels in the North for around like 18 USD pre tax / fees (Wow Hotel & City Icon). Then there are a lot of 25-30 USD hotels pre tax / fees around the Center.

So the question now is go for the really cheap places in the North or the moderately cheap place in the Center.

I read how you can take Transjakarta buses that run from along the main road ie can go from Plaza Indonesia to Kota for very cheap and it has its own dedicated lane to avoid traffic.

So from a cost point of view might be better to stay in the north and use cheap day transportation to get to the Center / South.

Does that type of transport run 24/7?

Well, after 4years and around 10 countries later (all on a shoe string budget) I am still waiting on the above to happen. Haven't had one trip where I didn't have fun and bang girls.

At the time I was studying I was very young and I did not really appreciate the beauty of Indonesian females, I actually got a bule girlfriend when I was stuyding in Jakarta and we were together for about 2 years, so in my first 2 years in Jakarta I did not look for nor sleep with any Indonesian girls.

We both started to work for the same company after we finished (her dad's company actually)

Maybe if I had done things differently and had been looking for Indonesian girls from the start things would have gone totally different, but for some reason it went past me. WE however did go to Tanamour and JJ's later on occasion and of course I noticed what was going on between the bule guys and Indonesian girls there, but I knew the score (most of it was about money because I was not that naive). In retrorespect (when I try to get back the feeling I had in those days) I must have been happy with her so I think I did the right thing.

When we broke up I was miserable for a while and after that I moved to Bandung for a year. There I got my first taste of Indonesian girls, but again I was a kind of faithful type. After having a few hookers in North Sea (it was with the North Sea girls that I lost my virginity with Indonesian girls) I found a (quite beautiful and sexy actually) Sundanese girl with whom I stayed for almost the whole year I was in Bandung. I was very poor at that time because I had lost my job (and was without income) and staying in the grottiest and dirtiest losmen one can imagine. But she sticked with me even when (after about 6 months in bandung) my money was finished. I did work in Bandung but the salary was too low to make ends meet (the money from my salary was finished in a week).

That's also why I maybe only had 150 or at the most 200 girls in 20 years, which boils down to on average less then one girl per month because most of the time I was having a girlfriend and I seem to be very faithfull if I have one. The first 15 years in Jakarta and Indonesia I might only have had 40 girls or so!

Only the last couple of years (and during a few periods when I was young and single) I would take some girls sometimes. I only started to use dating sites about 5 or so years ago and since then I have started to change girls more often.

I've never been good at picking up girls in malls. Up until recently I might have had only 2 pickups in malls, but the last couple of months I managed to get 3 girls from a mall, but I am still very bad at picking up girls in malls, when they smile at me (and look back when they passed me indicating they are really interested) I don't react and walk back and start a conversation but I just walk on. It's horrible I know but that's me. I am also a kinda shy guy mostly. Sometimes I feel very comfortable (for instance when I was in Gambir going to meet the girl in Bandung) then I am able to start talking to girls and be funny and witty and yeah then I can pull quite easily but these occasions are quite rare actually, within no time (maybe a week or 2 weeks something happens) and I lose confidence again.

In hindsight, when I was young, especially the first 2 years in Jakarta I of course got to know many (local) girls and women from the higher echelons of the (in the Suharto era) society of Jakarta. I had a bule girlfriend but we got to know many (indonesian and Chinese-Indonesian) students and they introduced me to their circle of friends and contacts. (we stayed in touch with many of them after graduation) When I had wanted it in those days I could have bedded many rich (from their parents) and beautiful Chinese indo girls and some models and whatnot, and I knew many were interested in me. But I just was not into them really for some reason and I don't know why, maybe I was scared or just too much in love with my girlfriend (who was always guarding me like a hawk by the way) because she knew what was going on better then I did.

Anyway now I am 40 and somehow the past always comes back to haunt me, it is like I want to make up for all the time I missed (the best years where I could have had the best girls because I was young and because I could easily get in touch with them because of my circle of friends) but it is not possible anymore, I don't have the guts nor the youth to pull the women I actually want to pull.
