My novia who does not do drugs is going to school has a job and wants to make a better life for herself, but has a brother that does not want to play by the rules. Last, I heard you cannot choose your family. So, by me choosing to be with her despite her tough upbringing makes me a lowlife. I should look for the perfect girl with the perfect family even though I had to work hard to get to where I am at now in my life. So, I should go to only high end strip clubs. Maybe only look for educated girls who have already made it. Please help me understand how I cannot become such a lowlife. Do you only have sex with perfect non pro girls with great families. I just need to know how I can become someone of high standing and moral character.

If having sex with pretty young women makes me a low life then count me in. Through out the years wealthy men have always had access to young women for sex. Now that I am in my 50s I understand. I am not sure if Berthold intended to call Revere "a lowlife". If he did, then it is totally out of order, but I hope that was just a bit of careless writing.

But on the other hand, I am tempted to advise Revere to give up on this particular chica. Family ties are sacred on this island. Sooner or later there will be trouble with her brother and his lowlife friends and when it happens she won't have Revere's back.

True, you cannot choose you own family, but you can choose with which other families you associate and this one does not sound too kosher.

All it takes is a police raid of their house with you being present at the time after he got shot to get you in trouble big time. In case they find drugs you are in trouble, if you deal with the right cops they will bring their own stuff so that you are screwed no matter what although you had nothing to do with the entire situation.

It will cost you alot of money to get out of such a situation in which you put yourself in the first place because you hung out with the wrong people. You can be lucky 100 times, all it takes is 1 time to be in shit.

What I wrote above is just 1 possibility of what could happen.

There is so much fun to be had in this country, without exposing you to certain risks such as having a novia who`s brother is a known drugdealer.

There is certain things which you simply do not want to do in this country.

I presume you are from the US which has no shortage of such people as indeed all across the globe. But I agree with your advice to Revere. I was rather shocked reading his account and I would have done what he tried to do. Take the guy to the hospital. I kind of fell off my chair when I read about the cops shooting but as Hamlet says, there are more things in heaven and earth Horatio.

I also agree with the collective advice that it may be better not to mix with someone this dicey but in matters of heart, things are never so cut and dried. Revere showed himself to be an extremely level headed and kind person. Kudos to him for that and who knows he may have a positive impact on the brother. There is a large empty space where it used to be; even the cab driver was confused.

Went to the Barrio sports bar on Venezuela instead which is a really loud local bar and pretty cheap.
