PlanB / Kojax and gogo bar above Lips
My last night in Philippines I satyed in Durban Hotel. Nice, 1,350 pesos deal on internet. But one guest only, they say, during your stay. Headed out, felt poorly unfortunately but wanted to check out Burgos on my only night in Manila. The gogo above Lips (maybe called Lips as well?) had quite a few girls. But it was Sunday night and the girl I bought a drink said loads of girls stayed home and instead paid the 1,000 peso penalty for Sundays and other days early in the week as the place was packed every Friday and Saturday. The hotties turn up, maybe from Wednesday or Thursday, but definitely end of the week into Saturday as guaranteed a bar fine where they pick up 5,000 pesos for themselve. Sounds fun though of course expensive as sthe bar charges 3,500 bar fine as well. It was nice enough on a Sunday but not pumping.
Went then to PlanB / Kojax and was glad to see a couple of gitls I really fancied. I imagine also later in the week would be full on. The girl I bought a drink for started at 5,000 tip for her, she waas super pretty and felt very nice as well, but immediately dropped to 3,500 etc, offered to return in the morning if that worked better ot me etc.
So, I am giving there two gogo bars a healthy thumbs up and look forward to more reports.
Someone asked before about privado rooms.
Update on Dimples bar. They have a privado room. It is diagonally (catty-corner?) across from the entrance doorway. A visit there a few weeks ago the place was jumping. There were whales in the 2 corner booths (also diagonally across from each other) that are adjacent to the front door and the privado room. The whale in the booth directly across from the entrance kept 6 girls in his booth, regularly refreshing their drinks, no hanky panky.
In the other whale's booth, were 5-6 girls and another 6-7 standing in front of his booth, facing the booth. There was constant laughter going on inside the booth area, with the sitting girls clamoring all over the guy, playing with his Johnson both over his clothes and under. Poor fella. One of the mamas came over to chat with me. At one point, two of the whale's standing ladies left to head towards the bar or CR, creating a very visible gap to see booth-shenanigans-galore. The phat mama simply stepped away from me over to fill the gap, facing away from the booth as if not to disturb. She called for 2 new girls to come fill the gap. I noticed at least 2 dozen empty shot glasses on the table, with no bottle. Later there was another gap in the line of standing girls and the view inside revealed a lot of movement and shenanigans. I could see the girl to the whale's right, saying something in his ear. The girl past her, to her right in the booth (towards the outside), was climbing over the inner girl, going under the table, trying to get his pants unbuttoned.
Separately a white man and 2 young Koreans came in and took the private booth in the back. It is windowed from about 4' above the ground. If you stand up inside the main bar area, you can see anyone inside; if you are seated in the bar you can only see inside anyone who is standing up. Before they even sat down a mama pushed about 15 girls inside to form a line. Eventually they were all seated and drinks came. A bit later a mama brought 5-ish more gals. There seems to be plenty of room in the back for a serious shenanigans party if you like. I didn't see any shenanigans in the privado that evening. I am guessing you can pay a fee to the mama and have the privado, and some girl (s) inside, and the lights turned off. Its possible that there are curtains that might close from above also.
Lips update. Went in on a Saturday recently, downstairs. Lots of girls, few gents, rather dull. Went upstairs to a rockin' party going on. Several whales, similar shenanigans like Dimples. Lots of gents (about a 50-50 mix of whites and asians), lots of girls. Saturday evenings there are performances from spotlight dancers on the dance floor, rather nice. Plenty of lookers to keep your eyes busy. A girl walks about regularly trying to get you to play a game of Connect-4; if you lose the game she may suddenly expect you to buy her a drink (that old trick). Several pairs of girls walk the place trying to get lone punters like me to buy them a drink.
Nautica update. Went in on the same night as my Lips report above. An almost opposite vibe at the time: About 20 girls, mostly pretty, only myself and another guy (who came in with his asawa). Some pressure to buy LD, which I ignored. You know the girls are bored when: There are 3 girls assigned to the dance stage, where there are 2 large wall-to-floor mirrors. Two, three, or as many as 5 other girls, bored and sitting along the wall, head over to the dance area and practice dance moves in the mirrors (she never met a mirror she didn't like). I enjoyed the drink and oggled the girls and departed. If you are in the mood to barfine, its a great place to point-and-shoot: Few punters, and so many girls to choose from.
P. Burgos Field Report: Massage Experiences and On-street Observations

A few weeks ago, I requested advice via this forum in anticipation of an upcoming trip to Makati. I received some great responses and promised to provide a field report. True to my word, here is the report.
I ended up using the dating sites (primarily Date in Asia, aka DIA) while I was in town, and opted to avoid the bars on P. Burgos Street altogether. I will post a separate report on my experiences with DIA in the appropriate section of this forum. The bar scene, and the high cost associated with it, just did not appeal to me, but to each his own.
While I avoided the bars, I did obtain massages with extra service on P. Burgos Street on two occasions. Both experiences entailed one hour massages with BBBJ, each costing a total of PHP 3,000 (of which PHP 500 was the massage fee itself). I suspect I probably overpaid. Neither experience was anything to write home about. The first was a woman in her 30's who was friendly but nothing special. She worked out of an establishment on the west side of Burgos, on the section of the street that runs north of Kalayaan Avenue. The second was younger (25) and I met her while walking on the section of Burgos that runs south of Kalayaan Avenue. Both occasions involved taking an elevator or stairs up a few floors to rooms set up for massage, which only cloth partitions between the massage tables. Fortunately, I was the only client there both times.
Walking along Burgos Street (the portion going between Makati Ave and Kalayaan Ave), one encounters many massage girls, ladyboys, and men selling various things. There weren't many beauties among the massage girls, and some looked pretty rough. Some had hand-written cards containing their name and number, and were willing to come to the hotel for PHP 500 for one hour (with any extras costing extra of course). Personally, I would not have wanted any of those ladies in my hotel room.
I definitely would not recommend coming to Makati strictly for the on-street action on P. Burgos, but perhaps the bar scene is more fun for those who enjoy it. That said, I did enjoy the online dating experience, will I will cover in a separate post. This area of Makati felt safe (but keep your hand on your wallet) and there were lots of western food options available. This is a nice part of Metro Manila. It was great to get back to the Philippines again for the first time post-COVID.
First time in Makati in 13 years and need advice
I'll be arriving this coming weekend. As of now thinking of staying at City Garden inn or Hop Inn.
Would like some advice on the best place to stay that is guest friendly and close to the action also to pick up a cute Filipina.
