recently, a hospital on church property that did a lot of walk-in abortions lost its lease. excelsior is run by mandarin and both their bars used to have a lot of wl hanging out. went to dickens earlier this year and it was dead. tott was busy. mandarin threw out a speed dating gig from using its venue. but have seen ladies being escorted in.

since 9/11 and in the last 10 years, most hotels have upgraded their key entry/access and surveillance systems. it is a sign of our times.

1) You bring a lady back from a bar and its more likely that she is scantily dressed.

2) You get an escort to visit and she is usually more conservatively dressed.

Guys make decisions that best suit them.

Some punters (who accept home visits) insist ladies dress conservatively. They like to be discreet. Other punters like to parade around with a scantily dressed lady on the arm. Enjoying the attention.

I'd be very interested to learn how you fare today. For I know that even if they half way suspect you of being at the Bishop Lei for anyting immoral, they will unceremoniously throw you out. Interested in your statement that the Catholic Archdiocese doesn't condone immorality. Unless you only allow married couples. And they provide proof. Hotels always have some immorality.

He was so angry that the hotel made it hard for me to visit him. He charged down to reception. Argued with the staff. Checked out on the spot, paid the bil, grabbed me and went to the Sheraton. Such a lovely man!

hotels increased security after the two american guys overdosed and died at the grand hyatt around 2008. and then about 2006 was the norwegian police commander who was allegedly drugged to death by a lady.

speed dating. my understanding is that it was stopped because of complaints by ladies. usually at these events the guys are charged a fee to join and the ladies are free. in this case the ladies were being charged a fee and the guys were free. i believe that the event was fully booked. so the ladies were happy to pay a fee.

excelsior. probably popular because a few airlines use this hotel. naughty pilots! does the charles dickens still have a quiz night on a wednesday?

The only thing I will add to the debate about girl friendly hotels. Is that some hotels don't allow anyone upstairs unless reception calls the room. And of course you need guests full name and room number. So it doesn't matter whether you are boy / girl / king / queen. Go to a 5 star resort in Thailand. And nobody gets past reception. The guest must collect you.

A lady dresses scantily or visits a hotel after midnight may attract attention. So not be considered girl friendly. Any hotel that has key card access is not guest friendly.

Maybe in a few weeks Oil Rich can answer your question about Bishop Lei. From a guy's point of view.

Most hotels. Whether Girl friendly or not has measures to make sure that strangers do not roam around non-public areas I. E. Guest room floors. And thus many have these Key-card access to the guest floors. Girl friendly hotels with such key card access will turn a blind eye to guests bringing girls. Even obvious WG's. Up to their rooms.

NON girl-friendly hotels. With or without Key-card access systems. Will block obvious looking WG's access and will even give their guests a hard time if he insists on bringing a "companion" up to his room.

Thailand is totally different kettle of fish. Where a LOT of hotels will CHARGE extra for unregistered / additional room occupiers and also as a bit of safety measure for their guests who MAY fall victim to robbery etc by requiring gals to register with their Identity documents.

I realize that as WG yourself, you are only concerned about easy access to your client's hotel room. But that is not what we guys mean when asking if a hotel is Girl Friendly or not.

Just my POV.
