Taxis vs S-Bahn vs Rental car
Just a note for those with all the questions around trains, schedules and cost of taking a taxi everywhere.
Unless it is some weird situation, I will always rent a car going forward. Germany has some of the best roads and directions and signage are pretty straight forward and compared to driving in other countries it is a breeze.
- Total cost for a rental: 44 E for 4 days.
- If I took a taxi everywhere. It would have easily cost me 200 E.
- If I took the train everywhere, sure it may be cheaper but I would have lost loads of precious time just getting around. Not worth the opportunity cost. If you weigh the time spent on trains and the short time you are there in Germany that burns up literally "hours" on the train it is not worth it.
Thoughts from a kind of newby
I've now been to an FKK 5 times, just now reported on visits to Artemis and Manhattan. Reading reports here makes a newbie fearful of sharks and aggressive marketing. I've found it much more mellow than feared, really enjoyable.
First off, the possibility of having this kind of experience in a legal, safe and clean setting is so amazing.
