It just changes names at the Pattaya Tai (South Pattaya Road) intersection when the buildings start to be on the waterfront instead of the beach. It's always worth seeing.

After spending a few months in Pattaya I would recommend Lucifer, ibar & Insomnia.
I normally arrive into Lucifer around 12. 45. If I haven't found anyone that I want to take home, then I will go to iBar and Insomnia around 2am.
The GoGo's close around 3am, and some of the girls often go to Insomnia after, as it closes around 5am.
There's another disco called Mixx, but it's further down walking st and it's smaller. Plus you will often find that the girls from Lucifer go there if they haven't found anyone

I was staying around Bali hai pier and the cheapest motorbike taxi to central WS was 30-40 Baht. Was I ripped off? And what is the minimum for a short trip? At night time they wanted 50-60.
I agree with another poster that Vietnam is the pits. Avoid. In Cambodia, some pay $200-400 a month for a full time gal for WIFE duties Wash, Iron, Fu. K, Etc. That's nice, if you are in no hurry with monogamist tendencies. That's good money for Cambo, considering unskilled position generally pays $40 per month. Beers in Cambo are 50cents-$1, its cheap. The downside is that it is unwise to wander around at night alone, and that Cambo girls can get lazy fast. IMHO Pattaya is just nicer, safer, and luxury, as in Cambo most places only feel like 2 star hostels.

I agree that your idea of doing the disco crawl, figuring out what the circuit is that the girls go on, is the way to go. Used to do that in Bangkok back in the days when Grace Coffee Shop was a decent final destination.

A few times I took a scooter taxi with a girl (driver, me, she on the same scooter) on short trips within Pattaya. She told me to give the driver 100. I do not know if she was trying to scam me or getting conned herself. She did a few times get street food for me (so that I would pay the local rate not the tourist) so at least in that case she was trying to save me money. The food discount was real. One time she got something for me while I was standing there and 5 minutes later I went to the same vendor alone and he wanted double what I had just paid. When I complained that I just paid half that he gave me 3/4 as much for the cheaper price.
When I was leaving for good I was waiting with this same girl with my luggage for the baht bus to take me to the bus terminal. The first bus that came by said 100 baht. I said keep moving, I will pay 20 (10 for me and 10 for her). He quickly said,"OK 50." I said,"No. 20. I'll take that bus right behind you." My girl seemed genuinely bewildered and said,"That is a good rate. You should go!" I told her,"No. It is always 10 baht. He is a crook." She really didn't seem to understand. She said she had never taken the baht bus before. Maybe it was BS. Note that she also must have been pretty drunk because she drank more than I did that night and she was half my size and I was pretty buzzed too and I have heard drunks say more outrageous things than that.
Other than "Thai helps Thai" I cannot guess why she would try to intentionally con me into giving drivers more than the going rate while getting me the local food rate. I doubt that the drivers who we met at random would remember her and we are talking about tens of baht so even if they split the take we are talking about about a few dollars while this same girl refused to accept the 1000 baht that I owed her as I was leaving (presumably the best time to pull a scam since the chance of losing a client would be extremely low). Maybe when she was alone she always walked everywhere and only took transport when with a client so she really didn't know the prices.

No you don't understand. The girl was right and you are wrong, and very paranoid. The trucks that run on a set route for a set price regardless of distance, are like buses in West. These are called baht buses. Those lined up at a stall are like a taxi. One of which is at 2nd road at south Pattaya road. If you negotiate with the taxi driver to take you and as many other that fit to Jomtien 100 baht would be a very good price. If you take a passing by baht bus it would be 10 baht per person.

OK, not EVERY girl is a 'stunner' but in my experience there are always a few sweeties to keep a man happy for an hour or two.
Also, it is, in my opinion, the BEST value for money in the whole of Pattaya for a playmate.
You should easily be able to get S / T at 500 Baht and NO Bar Fine!! (if business is slow then perhaps even a little lower!)

Size has nothing to do with Alcohol when you talk about Bar Girls. 2 things:
1. She probably drinks heavily on a Daily basis, so despite her size, she is well trained.
2. They water down these lady drinks quite a lot to make sure the girls stay fresh while the punters go drunk.
I would try switching drinks if I were you and you'll be surprised that her Gin & Tonic does not have (or very little) gin in it. Or that her Tequila is in fact water.

Having been to Pattaya several times, I have never tasted the fruit of the coccnut bar.
This is partly due to the slim pickings, and also not having the bottle to proposition the decent ones.
I always fear getting my face slapped for picking a non-working girl.
The last picture of your latest batch is a prime example. She looks great and for 500bt a freaking bargain. However why would a girl who looks like that be walking the beach looking for a quick 500bt, when she could easily get top dollar in a gogo. She must therefore be a non-working girls simply out for a stroll, or on lunch from work.
I'm sure this thought process has cost me many happy endings. But how on earth do you tell?

If you look a woman in her eyes and she smiles back at you approvingly, you're pretty much assured that she is available.
You can also stop and make small talk with the women. I do this a lot while taking photos. Usually, they will say "I go with you," at some point in the conversation.
However, that does not mean every woman on BR is in the "game." I've had women friends, (albeit working girls in clubs) , tell me they've been approached and propositioned. These girls like to go down to the beach and eat som tam in the daytime (and they don't like to be propositioned).

But like you said if you read the signals or open your mouth and try to talk to them then you will know whether they are working or not.

[/QUOTE]It was a (10) baht bus. It wasn't parked but traveling down Walking Street as was the one behind him. They both took the same route and both picked up more people on the way to Jomtien. He was trying to make some quick money on a naive tourist.
