Got to ZN around 8 pm on Wednesday. Walked Constitucion from Primera, turned west and headed through the alley, which was sparsely populated. Swung around the block and in to Adelitas for a couple of beers. The talent wasn't bad, but I figured it would get better later in the evening, so I left to try my luck elsewhere. Crossed the street and headed to Tropical where the talent was pathetic at best. Definitely the worst I've seen there. Had seen the increase in posts for Chicago, so I decided to give it a shot. I hadn't set foot in the place in about 10 years, so as far as the upgrades go, I can't really give a comparison because my memory doesn't serve me all that well, but I think I saw in a report that someone described it as striving for something between Adelitas and Hong Kong? Maybe. The talent certainly isn't there. But was certainly better than Tropical, and close to Adelitas, with fewer to choose from.

There were probably 20 girls and 10 guys hanging out. The mesero was attentive, but not super pushy. He brought me a girl and at first I thought about declining her because I felt more in a mood to scope out the scene and kick back at that point, but decided to grab a booth and have a drink with her. I don't recall the exact price for the ficha. Around $8, I think. I asked about going arriba, and the girl, who said she's new and had only been there a few days (not sure I buy that) quoted me $50 and $15 for the room, after double-checking with the mesero. I figured "Why not? And headed up with her. $1 to the robe guy, and up we went.

I wish I could recall the girl's name, because she was the closest thing to GFE I have encountered in Tijuana (for reference, I been with 32 other chicas in Tijuana this year. Looks like the management does give strict instructions to the girl how to interact with guys.

At Hotel Jalos you had to pay an additional fee for each chica, even your first chica of the day. I usually have a lot of sessions each day when I visit Tijuana, so I try to avoid hotels that charge these joiner fees.

I don't know what the current policy is today at Hotel Jalos, but recently they had the worst joiner fee policy of all the zona hotels. Most of the LZ hotels that charge a joiner fee will waive the fee for your first chica room companion (or first two at the alley's El Porton).

They are waiting to take as much money from you as they can. So act like you own the place. And the women! Like mentioned before, if they rebuff your groping or kissing, do not attempt arriba. Hotels Jalos, Garcia and Carreta are owned by the same people. These 3 hotels make you pay 85 pesos for ST each time you bring up a girl. Chicago girls have to use hotel Jalos for ST, no exception. If you stay overnight in hotel jalos, you would still have to pay for a ST room. That's a bunch of crap.

I would never stay in these 3 hotels overnight because their rooms are old with worn beds, worn sheets, with music thumping loudly all night from the clubs below. Cascada has no joiners' fee if you rent the rooms all night. Javier at reception was telling me to go ahead and bring up 100 girls. He knows I screw lots of girls. Cascada is also much quieter. You cannot hear club music on 5th and 6th floor, except when the retarded street brass band decides to give you their free stupid concert all night from the sidewalk.

Like Cascada, these 3 hotels inflate ST prices and give kick backs to the girls for their use. The shifty business people in La Zona have thought of every way possible to squeeze money out of horny mongers.

I've stayed at Hotel La Carreta a few times when Cascadas was full. In fairness, Hotel La Carreta is new as it opened last year and is conveniently located on Coahuila close to the Caliente Sportsbook for those who like to watch football without music. Also, they only charge a joiner fee of 85 pesos after your first girl if you have the room all night. The furniture and sheets etc are new there but when the hotel was constructed they did not use soundproofing, so the 3rd floor is advisable to avoid as much as possible the club music along with earplugs. For 500 pesos plus a key deposit of $5 it is worthwhile for someone who needs a clean place to sleep off too many beers and a hot shower in the morning. My recommendation is that if you are going to drink, get a cheap hotel room for the night first and do not attempt to drive. For the Policia are waiting for their favorite prey, drunk gringos with too many dollars in their wallets! After partying, go to your prepaid hotel room till morning when you can drive sober without crashing into something. Also recommend Las Perlas egg breakfasts with tortillas, salsa and orange juice for 80 pesos to tamp down the booze in your system in the morning.

She's a bombshell but she blew me off when I tried to wave at her. She didn't seem too interested in making any money. She was drinking with a group on and off or just sitting around doing not much of anything. The girls here look promising, it appears they're building a crop of young and fresh faces. But the vibe here is way off. The girls seem more interested in hanging out with each other rather than focus on taking cash from us. I don't know if that's a weakness thing, like they're too insecure to roam around on their own. Or they're just poor providers that don't really know what they're doing, or they don't want to be isolated and have no interest in arriba. Chicago was aggressively pushing girls on guys a few weeks back, but that made the girls look cheap and trashy, and there were lots of rejections.

To me it looks like Chicago changed their sales approach, coaching their girls to play cool and hard to get like classy babes. The girls would dress conservatively, sit and party among themselves, act with dignity with only subtle flirting with guys, like any nice, clean, classy Nortenas would behave in pick up bars.

In contrast to HK's in-your-face sex sales approach, Chicago's subtle ways may appeal to certain types of guys, hopefully gentlemen with class who would quickly spring $100 per session without haggling. I saw a guy pull a girl from the talents exhibit and quickly take her upstairs without any negotiation. Perhaps Chicago has retained Dr. Ruth to advise and develop its sales strategies?

Chicago seems to have reinvented classier ways to sell sex, completely different from HK and Adelita, which may help it compete successfully against HK and other bars.
