What the fuck is with a 300 peso SM Light for the girls? Twenty four bottles cost less than 600 peso delivered to my door. And 3000 plus bar fines for their so called "spot light" or special dancers. These girls work in the bars due to their lack of education and job opportunities.
As for the Bar owners. Those guys have very little control over the girls at all when a dispute arises, so if you think you are safer in there guess again. Most of these guys are glorified pimps with window dressing, they really do not have any interest in any one but themselves.
Most of the marching orders come from the mama san and even then Filipinos do what they like when they like. So if some bar girl wants to cut her own deal on her own time then so be it.
There are so many available girls in the Philippines, malls, universities, internet. You meet some pretty bar girls but in reality you are getting the bottom of the barrel in comparison.
Would I pay twice as much back in my own country for anything. No way and I sure will not be a sucker here either.
For the guy with a few days or weeks vacation the bars are fun. For the people with more time on their hands, there are lots of options. To each his own.
Bar owners, and girls, will earn as much as they can, according to the market. If they can regularly get it, they will charge it. Same as any other business. Why do some people think that standard business practices do not apply to the game? AC is still one of the cheapest places to get girls in a comfortable scene where you can check out hundreds of them and have a good look at the goods before you pay. Pick up in discos, off the street etc. And buyer beware. As for malls etc. . I lived in Manila for five years before, and it's a myth! Unless of course you are young and genuinely gwapo, in which case you shouldn't need to pay for it anyway!

AC is a hardcore international sex scene with lot's of exposure. Prices will only continue to rise. Before you know it it will cost $100 to get laid. That's just life, deal with it! Best solution is to find hidden spots that are still cheap or bring more money to spend.
Yup inflation is a normal part of capitalism. Too bad that the decline of the American financial empire is causing the US dollar to drop.

Many go-go barfines on Fields are going up to 1800. For Cheaper options you can do the following:
1) Go to the bars on Fields in which the barfine is still 1500.
2) Go to Perimeter bars; the barfines are between 1200 to 1500 pesos. After School go-go bar has a short time barfine (3 hours) of 900 pesos.
3) Go to A. Santos street; it should be 700 pesos.
Went afternoon barhopping this afternoon on Perimeter Road. Most beers were approx 50 during happy hour. Most places weren't crowded. The bars are small in Perimeter. Barfines were between 1200 to 1500. There were usually couple of girls in most bars that I would rate as a 6. In Fields, there are several in the big bars that I would rate as 7s; 8 is the best you get. IMO, that's the difference in the quality between Fields and Perimeter.
Started off at Lost in Asia: Barfine was 1350. There were about 3 that I would rate a 6. But 2 of those were cherry girls.
Then After School: Barfine was 1500; it was 900 for short time 3 hours. Fields don't have short time barfine. Does any other bars have short time barfines?
Went to Niftys; it's a small bar; it was full of customers; it seems it's always popular; couldn't get a good seat; didn't stay.
Went to Nasty Duck, Eruptions, Pony Tails (largest at the start of Perimeter). Can't remember much.
The best lookers IMO was those few at Lost in Asia. But there are so many bars on Perimeter. It would take weeks to do them all.
There's a new PS Bank ATM across M-Gate (too bad it wasn't there couple of years ago; then that Malaysian guy wouldn't have been mugged and killed when he went from the ABC hotel to an ATM away from the main street in order to pay his bill).
Good thing: There are now tourist police walking around Fields. There's also couple of tourist police booths in Fields and Perimeter. Before there was only the Fili-Korean tourist police up in K-town. Now is seems the government cares about the white people.
Another good thing: It seems they got rid of the beggars on Fields; they now hang out near M-Gate. But I would rather have them get rid of the viagara / cialis / sunglass sellers.
Cambodia go-go bar in Fields: Small / medium size bar, but there's several that I would rate as 7s. But one of them is cherry girl that does not do BJs. Actually, many of the 7s did not do BJs. What? That has not been my previous experience. There are 3 levels of barfines. 1500 and 1800; 2000 for the door girls; I would rate 1 of the door girl as a 7. She did BJs, but she said no to fondling.
Blue Nile: Several years ago, it was one of the top bars. It went downhill recently. But now they closed Neros Forum (which was the connected bar next door) , and they combined the girls. Decent amount of girls now. Many 6s around. Actually I perfer 6s; they usually will do more of the nasty stuff I like. A lot of the 7s will say no to everything.

2) Some go-go bars will have body painting night; only topless. Since the crackdown, do they still have that?
3) Previously there were barhopping groups; I've read it got wild; But then I read it got into trouble. Do they still have those nights?
Basically, you have to make your own "fun". You can fondle some girls in the bar. But of course the best fun is to make your own fun in your hotel room with numerous girls.

Pimps are the ones who go to the provinces to procure the girls for the bars and other establishments in AC. They also break the girls in for mongers. I'm not sure why mongers would be mad at pimps unless they want to go to the provinces themselves and find the girls and turn them out.

IMO, I thought Atlantis had the cutest girls (overall in terms of quanity and average quality; many 7s). But the sample is from Lost in Asia (never thought they had cute girls) , Cambodia (a few cute ones) , Blue Nile (many 6s) , Golden Nile, Champagne, Lancelot, Lollipop, Forbidden City, Carousel (a close second) , Insomnia (my pesonal favorite) , and Icarus (my favorite girls are gone; darn).
The girls in the white number tags will be 1500 pesos; the girls in the green tags will be 3000 pesos. IMO, the top girls from the 3000 group will be the best looking girls (7s) ; there's some girls in the 3000 group who aren't even worth 1500! Of course there's some in the 1500 list who should be with the 3000 group.
If you potentially want better looking girls, a sign at the bar states that there is a broadway type of show on certain days. I haven't been to those yet. I'm assuming that the barfine for those "showgirls" might be more.
I usually don't barfine the best looking girls; they usually say no to all my special requests; their performances might not be good.
Atlantis has free popcorn; it has a good sushi bar.
The girls always will ask for the double lady's drink at 250; but usually the waitress will ask you permission first. But it isn't that bad if she orders the SML since the girl takes forever to drink it. But if she orders the Bailey over ice or the shot, she is able to drink those fast.

Requirements. Clean hotel. 2 Girls per day, food, drink and taxis.
My quess is appx $150 per day.
