He asked if I had heard of apartment girls, and I hadn't. It is an apartment building that contains alleged college students that are making extra money. I agreed to check it out, so I hesitantly walked into the ground floor of an apartment building (no idea where it is, but it had to be somewhere near MBC) and saw about 35 girls sitting on couches around a room. All were wearing lingerie, and I was told to pick one out.
These are the casas. They are usually in houses though not apartment buildings, hence the name casa. 4000 pesos though? You must did not negotiate at all. The papasan will usually open the starting price at 3500 and you talk them down from there. To get to one simply hop into a taxi and tell them to take you to a casa. The drivers know where they all are.

This papasan quoted 5000 to start for LT, and I probably should have pushed harder to go lower than 4000. I agree that the taxi drivers probably all know how to get to these places. The papasan gave the taxi driver some money before we left to pay him for bringing me there.
Where is the "Havanas?"
Havana? It is where it was. In Greenbelt.
Unless you want havainas *the shoe people.
Never found a cab driver who knew where it was. Many times I could not find it, despite the best of directions.
Suggestions welcomed.
Lastly, I have heard it is for the younger crowd only, including foreigners. Any comments on that.
How is Havanas? Not a lot of buzz going around about it. Is it a go go?
You must mean Cafe Havana. There are two of them in Manila: 1) The original one in Malate on Adriatico at Remedios Circle; 2) In Greenbelt 3 next to Starbucks. It is this one that the guys on this site will be referring to as it is awash with working girls, usually sitting at the tables outside, particularly later in the evening.

I have noticed that in Makati or at MBC there are pretty much no Filippino punters.
It's as if, those places are oriented towards (cheap) foreigners. (especially in case of LA café).
So I was wondering where do they pick up their talents, there must be places and web sites where they fill their needs!

Its inside G3, or the third wing in Greenbelt mall. Don't say "Havana Cafe", as he might start looking for some restraunt on the street. Its inside the mall, right next to Starbucks. Mostly the girls sit at outside tables, and they can be anything from ignoring you, to downright aggressive: "Sir, where you going sir?" and pulling your shirtsleeve or pantleg. If you are white, you will do fine there.

Trust me, as far as you're concerned, these places don't exist. If there were such places, the only reason they would exist would be for places that DON"T INCLUDE FOREIGNERS. I remember years ago (15+ years) going to a Filipino hangout in Angeles City (I speak almost fluent tagalog) and the Filipino guys kept telling me to leave "because if I wanted to get a bar girl to go somewhere else to get one. Not here!" Not to mention the fact that most girls who go to Filipino only hangouts want to meet filipinos. If the girl wants to meet foreigners, then she'll go to such places as mentioned here.
Also, your presumption of such places implies that there is a some kind of thriving middle class of Filipino that can support these expenses. There is only lower middle class (and lower class). And then the upper class. Lower middle class = those who work in respectable working jobs, such as department stores and hotels don't usually spend a week's salary for such things (think about what you make a week. And then imagine paying that for a shag).
The upper class have their own circles. And if they want an escort, its out paid out to at places like the KTVs or other contacts. Remember the KTVs have a lot filipinos but the last time I checked the LT bar fine rates there are high. Expect to pay well above 5000, and probably above 10k pesos.
This is what I know. Others who still live in the Phils may be able to modify my info, or add other details. Be happy with what's out there. Let me know if you learn more.
Cheers,
Lalake
So the key is to say "Greenbelt Three"?
Funny, I have had a devil of a time, even the cab drivers do not seem to be familiar with it.
Every been to the one near Remedius Circle?

You are not going to discover some sub-culture where there are discount women and friendly Phil men.
Going to the PI now for almost 20 years and the best advice would be steer clear of Phil men, in any way, shape, or form. If they approach you it is either for trouble, or a scam they are working.
Take that to the bank.
even the cab drivers do not seem to be familiar with it.
Yeah that makes since, 'cause the cab drivers can't see Havana Cafe from their car. Places like Hard Rock, they've seen the signs at Glorietta.

Every been to the one near Remedius Circle?
Yes, say "Greenbelt Three Makati." Regardless of what city you are in (Pasay, Malate, Makati) , the taxi driver will to know which wing of the mall to drop you at. Once inside the mall, ask any employee where Havana Cafe or Starbucks is.
Bedrock Cafe is a good place for live band in Malate, on Adriatico St. Most cabbies know it, but sometimes not. Also say,"near to Remedios Circle", and once he has you at the circle its easy to find. Being able to say: "Near to blah blah" is a big help to cabbies. Also, street corners."On Faura near to corner Mabini."

Every been to the one near Remedius Circle?
Yes, I have been to the CH at Remedios Circle a number of times. It does not have outdoor seating, and it does not fill with WGs as does the CH at GB3, so the clientele is more couples on a date or groups of people. That said, the live music is good on weekends, the food is good, and Remedios Cirlce is nice lively area on weekend evenings, a lot of resto / bars and live music clubs in the area-all in all a good spot for a date. Worth checking out-and if you get bored there, MBC is a five min taxi ride away. BTW, the Filipino food at Adriatico Cafe just across the circle is very good.
