Hotel location question. JW Marriott vs Ritz Carlton
Gentlemen,
I am in the middle of planning my first trip to Seoul and my company has given me two (and only two) hotel options, the JW Marriott and the Ritz Carlton. I'm not a newbie to mongering but I am a total newbie when it comes to Seoul and the Far East. I absolutely plan to RTFF to make use of the excellent information you have all provided, but I need to make the call on the hotel selection within the next few days so any insider guidance, suggestions, warnings and such would be greatly appreciated. I've traveled quite a bit (mostly Europe and the Middle East) and I don't generally have a problem using a metro / subway system, so the JW looks good in that regard. But again, those of you with greater knowledge and experience can help by weighing in on the advantages and disadvantages of each location. Also, it would be very helpful to know if there might be any potential issues with a girl coming to visit me in my hotel room.
BTW, if anyone needs any tips in the DC / MD / NOVA areas, feel free to send me a PM.
Many thanks! J
P. S. I did do a search here for both the Ritz and the Marriott. I didn't find anything that wasn't several years old except for one recent post where the Marriott was mentioned only briefly.
Couldn't find the hongdae BJ place after 45 min of search so I headed to CRR
Couldn't find this place is it above wawa gs25?
Thanks fo the info. Went there Thursday and got in the door speaking korean. But athey didn't have an open time for an hour and a half. My schedule didn't allow me to wait that long. (should have just waited) so I got the phone number and called Saturday. No openings. Tried again Sunday got an appointment. Got inside. SP refused to do foreigners.
No I didn't actually see her. Didn't get that far in.
If you look korean. You should have no problem. I actually don't know if its all the SP that will not or just staff there on Sunday. I am assuming the Sunday staff is not there on weekdays. Anyway. My 2 cents
