The barfine cost is fixed at most bars and really the bigger bars have tier pricing (1500p-1800-3000 and more).

Food will cost about $5 / meal on average unless you like quality steak at all times.

Drinks are about 100p on average (unless you only drink at happy hours) but the LD varies and this adds up the most the longer you stay at any bar.

Taxi? From airport or from Manila?

Those are not required, but if you want to pay tips, then you should add whatever you think you need to. Tipping has been comprehensively discussed on these boards, so if you do a search you can find what some people tip, and then adjust the price up and down accordingly. Taxi, add $125 return if coming from Manila airport (you can do it cheaper by bus, but for a first timer, taxi or hotel car service is simplest). That is also in a hotel like the Royal Amsterdam (no pool, nice rooms, mid level, heart of Fields action).

I should also say that I am assuming you have the two girls Long Time. So that extra fifty also covers drink and food for them as well. If you are doing short times, then $150 should be plenty unless you splurge on a hotel or lots of expensive drinks and food.

Hi! I have just begun to budget for my trip to AC in July. I have already checked on air rates and hotel stay. I will be staying at the Sunset Gardens Hotel and have reserved for two weeks. I figure between airfare and two weeks at the Sunset Gardens, my cost will be about 1850. 00 USD. I have always budget for at least 1000. 00 USD per week. I always try and get my 3 credit cards down to 0 just in case I have some emergency. Just my two cents.

Since it's only a 2 to 3 hour trip, going for only two days is fine. Returning to Manila, you might find yourself on the Southern Cross or Swagman Fly the bus which have set schedules. We don't know what time your flight is, but it's probably wise to come back the day before.

2. As for transport from Manila you can check out Fly the Bus from swagman Hotel. Some taxi people are willing to take you to AC for 1500 pesos. Depends on what time your flight arrives in Manila.

3. I think you should experience nightlife in Manila. It is different than AC but you may like it.

4. You need atleast 3-4 nights in AC. Take the bus to AC (cheaper) and stay three nights there and come back to Manila and stay one night. If you did not like the experience in Manila first time you can stay five nights in AC.

AC is very addictive. If you leave too early you will feel like you missed something.

Whether you do that or go back to Manila for a night depends on how early the flight goes. If it is an early flight, I would suggest go back to Manila for the night. If it is a late morning or afternoon / evening flight, stay in AC and use the car service.

Using the bus is feasible, but if it is your first time, and you are getting off a long flight, why bother unless money is tight? The hotel driver will be waiting for you, and you can doze off on the trip back to AC.

Personally I reckon a week is too short. But I am a pervert. .

I recommend that you make it as long as you can. You won't run out of bars in five days. Two days will hardly scratch the surface.

This is GREAT advice. My money is on you trying to organise a lift on the day that your flight leaves just few hours before. No point booking hotels in advance you can always get a last minute hotel anyway.

Back in angleles me and the mechanic hit a few bars we fond 2 really hotties at the champange bar has certainly changed in 12 months.
