The name was never trademarked so why not use it to pull in punters who ask the touts "what happened to Lapsus." Venezia is another Cuban run overpriced clip joint.
I met a new girl, Marisiel (sp?) at the Texaco before the toll on the highway to Bani. She works inside the store of the gas station as the cashier. I was with some friends going to the river on Sunday (me and 20 dominicans). We stopped at the gas station to meet up with everyone (5 car loads full of people). It's much more enjoyable than the Boca Chica or Sosua scene. A word to those new this style, sometimes it takes more than one meeting to get the girl.
I do like nonpros but tere are complications. I am not looking for a girlfriend. Thes chicas are looking husbands and boyfriends, If I can convey this then it is a good thing. Semi pros know that it is all about sex. They do not have the illusion you want more. I would rather have a understanding semi pro then a happy non pro.

I have been going to the non pro / semi pro route due to the price gouging at the Pasteur av casas (casa avenue as I like to call it). Indeed non pros come with complications and since I don't like to lie to these girls, I sometimes miss opportunities as they are looking for future husbands. However I more than make up for it by showing them a good time.
Prof is right, sometimes it takes at least 2 meetings / dates before you get some but if you hit the jackpot, it can really be a great experience. There's nothing like passionate sex from a latina who really digs you.

Some bars or clubs have concerts or events which will increase turnout (there are sites on the internet which list upcoming events and have photos from the venues). Coppa disco (now called Pure) in the Hotel Melia just about always had some pros whenever I visited (usually gets going late) , sometimes some low mileage, attractive pros (or semi-pros). Avenida Venezuela has over 5 bars / clubs in a 4 block stretch, Cool Bar, Geisha, La Barrica, Wao and others (you can google these bar names and probably find videos of these bars). Avenida Venezuela will be at least a ten minute car ride from most tourist hotels. Always ask the taxi driver the price before you get in the car (most taxi fares are 200 pesos or less). You could also store in your cell the phone number of a taxi company like Apolo (809-537-0000). If you get a taxi driver you feel is honest you could ask for his card and call him when you need a taxi. If you strike up a friendship with people at a venue, you could ask one of them to call a taxi for you.

In the Los Alcarrizos neighborhood of Santo Domingo (north west part of Santo Domingo) are two bars across the street from each other with an aviation theme, May Day Bar and Torre de Control Bar (tower control). I recomend Energy club right next to la barrica. I was there on a Thursday and it was packed with nice chicks. The day I was there I saw many semi pros there.
