Thanks.
I called the hotel and they said that guests are OK as long as they have an ID. So I assume that should be fine.

In some hotel 1 guest if fine as you can say it's your girlfriend, but often they make clear that only 1 extra person can registered in the room for the whole stay.
Guys,
Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about Swissotel in Deira (Burjuman)?
Is this hotel friendly for guests?
Or can anyone suggest any 5* hotel in Deira which is completely green and a good place for food etc?
Thanks.
BW.
Hello,
My hotel is somehow not green in terms of guest, so I was wondering if around Moscow are there short term hotels for a 2-3 hours period?
In case of girl pick up, I could also check if in Moscow they have a room but it's hit or miss. Plus I guess more expensive than a 2-3 hours temp accommodation.
Thanks.
I just booked 7 nights in Grand Heights Hotel, only to notice later that, in booking.com questions section, the staff mentioned that only close relatives may visit the room after showing ID. My booking is non-refundable so I guess I am fucked then? I could try to sneak the girl in the elevator at the same time as me, or hope that the elevator doesn't open with room card and have the girl enter after me. I noticed that there are websites that list guest friendly hotels in Dubai. They seem to be a minority.
Does anyone know any cheap guest friendly hotel in the Al Barsha region?
Yep that rule sounds pretty fucked. There are plenty of friendly hotels around the Al Barsha area. I think there is an Address nearby, that is ok for guests and most of the higher end Marriott brands are also ok. Marriott have so many hotels in Dubai now, pretty sure Al Barsha is also covered. All else fails the hotel linked to the MoE (which maybe a Marriott as well), a few years back pre-covid picked up a FL from the mall and walked via the connecting passageway to the hotel.

BW.
I am not sure about a ST hotel, but Moscow, Broadway, Khaleej Palace, Carlton Deira are all green.

Does anyone know any cheap guest friendly hotel in the Al Barsha region?
Have they charged your credit card yet? I usually book with a debit card, and if I find myself in such a situation, I remove the funds from it and then booking.com can't do shit even if you don't show up, etc. They will just send you an email asking what happened, why you didn't show up. Try signature hotel in Al Barsha.
Stayed there last week and have to say they are definitely not a green hotel. Each night from 8 PM onwards they have had a guard posted near the elevator and chasing unregistered girls to sign in. One evening to my surprise some elderly Russian working girls were giving me the eye at the Sheraton Chelsea Arms Pub. How this fits together with the hotel policies I don't know.

They always deduct the amount right away. Or do they have book now pay later option?
I noticed that there are websites that list guest friendly hotels in Dubai. They seem to be a minority.
Not really, it's not a problem unless you make it one. , In fact the not so girl friendly hotels are the minority not the other way around. And most of them won't even turn you down they'll just apply a joiner fee for the WG and that's it. Once you go around the city you'll realize that this concern is way blown out of proportion.
Thats interesting. So bank just declines payment and your account doesn't get overdrawn? Bit off topic but who do you bank with.
Thats interesting. So bank just declines payment and your account doesn't get overdrawn? Bit off topic but who do you bank with.
Yes, that is correct. It's an Australian debit card (Commonwealth Bank of AUS). You get 2 accounts, a savings account and a current account. The debit card is linked to the current account, and I move funds between the two. I guess it's possible since it's a debit card and not a CC. The good thing is that booking.com don't block the amount while booking, you just need an active card, that's why it's possible.
From next Sunday I'll be staying at Moskow hotel, if anyone wants to buddy up going into Red Square and Coochini, please DM me. Company is good when going into those devil places!
