Arriving about 19:00 to Santo Domingo I must spend one night in this city before going to Sosua in the next morning.
Can anyone recomend me a good hotel? I am not very concerned about the price but of course I want it to be girl friendly and easy to pick a chica.
Is the Melia Hotel a good option? Which other? Where can I find chicas not far?

Thanks for your help.[/QUOTE]Hotel Mystik (about $55US) on avenida pasteur is next door to Girl's House, which is next door to Satin Dolls, which is next door to Sky High, which is about 5 houses from Venecia. 305 is around the corner from the Mystik Hotel. Usually busy in front of and near Mystik, if you don't want that, the Hotel Riazor (about $60US) , about 3 blocks from the hotel mystik, is an option (Hotel Riazor is directly behind the Marriott Renaissance Jaragua Hotel and Casino). If you want even quieter, then two blocks from the Riazor on a side street is the hotel jaguar (about $55 per night). All three of these hotels are chica friendly and probably multiple chica friendly. If you don't mind being on a busy street, then try mystik. If you don't mind walking a few blocks, then maybe the Riazor. I walk around all hours of the day and night alone in that area and no one bothers me. Some shine kids will ask for small change and some guys will offer to show you casas. If you look at Boricua Online's SDQ Monger Map (custom google map) and look at the photos that have been posted here, you really shouldn't need a guide to show you around.
The three large hotels which are just about next door to each other (Jaragua, Melia and InterContinental) are generally not very chica friendly (and usually not multiple chica friendly). You can get chicas in, but many times it might be a hassle, so generally the three large hotels are not recommended for mongering purposes.
There are probably ten or more small, chica friendly hotels in that area (I have not stayed at the Jaguar, nor the Mystik, nor the Riazor).
Hotel Mystik has had some improvements to the front of the hotel since I took these photos. Some of the rooms at the Hotel Riazor are newly refurbished (hostal is a hotel, it is not a youth hostel). Melia Hotel room photos from their website.

The Marriott Courtyard on Gomez is no problem. Have a taxi driver in front of the hotel take you to Pastuer Ave. Plenty of Casas with take out.

I just got back a day ago I am tired, but its the good tired that we all know you can get from coming back from Santo Domingo. Now let me tell you about this Hotel it is really nice and if you see the 4 1/2 star hotel on hot-wire at that price I would advice taking it because it is a great deal at that price. Now the customer service at this hotel is very excellent I must say and to me they do go beyond the usual. The rooms are roomy sort of like the old Clarion and the bathroom is modern and also has a separate shower but also a large jacuzi like tube if you wanted to use.
Now to the important issue of can you bring a different chica without a problem and the answer was yes, but that is where you need to use the common sense meter IMO. This is a nice hotel that seems to cater to business and families and tourists and I think the airline crews use this hotel for overnight stays because I saw some people having a great time and I am sure they were a airline crew. When I say use common sense is that I stayed 2 nights there with a different chica for each night and when I looked at the hotel and its ambience I knew I needed to tell my first chica (casa chica) that she needed to dress down no high heels or any obviously sexual clothing. What I told her was I needed her to dress normal as if we were walking in a park or mall etc. She did this and there was no problem or anything she actually did look the part that I wanted her to look.
At This hotel the girl has to leave her cedula at front desk and if you go back out its seems after lets say 8 the doorman has her cedula and if you come back with her she gives it back to him so that seems to suggest to me that you can possible bring a different girl in the same night probably if you use good common sense and possibly give him a tip. I do not think that want you running girl after girl in high heels and short skirts, but if you keep it normal looking you probably will not have many problems.
My second chic was an online chic I was meeting for the first time and she was actually blown away by this hotel and she is the one who loved to play pool and I was going to try one of the spots you guys suggested, but chica was having none of that she saw the table at the hotel and wanted play there so no problem. They have a table there and its not bad its not for serious pool players and their sticks were not great, but hell I could careless.
I think this hotel is best for a novio type chicas or regular chicas especially if you get it at the price I did.

I have seen this hotel on the services like expedia, orbitz etc, but I never recalled it being below 130 a night. For that price I have to say it is worth for a night or two with a novio type chica, and if I stay there again it will be strictly with that type of chica. Of course I did have a casa chica stay the first night, but I did not go through the casa to get her she was planned ahead of time for all night and she behaved like she had never been to this hotel which I usually do not buy, but it might have been true in this case.

Hotel Nicolas De Ovando is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with parts of the building constructed in 1502, for the first Governor of the Indies (Hispaniola). Hotel Nicolas De Ovando has a pool, a restaurant that gets good reviews (La Residence) and when I stopped in the hotel a few times, I saw a guy rolling cigars. French Embassy is close-by.
