She then suggested her friend came along too. Whether for her safety or to get more money out of the event, I'm not sure. It's possible they were able to leave the shop because it was quite late and near closing time anyway. They stayed till the early morning, seemed in no hurry to leave. I have done take out also when I was a regular at their shop and lived very near by. If you are a visitor staying at a hotel and speak no mandarin then it becomes much less possible.

first off, i can say that the effects of the crackdown here are noticeable. several of the saunas have closed down. si yuan (merrilyn hotel) is still alive and well as of today but they are very busy as there are clearly fewer choices for customers. more to follow on s yuan later.

to start my week, i did something a bit out of the ordinary for me and enlisted a craigslist outcall. lisa regularly posts on craigslist in the therapeutic section. her ads say "professional tantric massage" or something along those lines. says she is professionally trained in singapore. she looks rather plain in her photo but out of pure curiosity i emailed her. we had some back and forth conversation and she sounded quite nice so i booked a session with her before i even left the states.

i wanted to go to a sauna. dong jin wan 968 is located just 2 blocks from my hotel so that was my first choice, but they were closed and dark. bummer. i then tried sacrosa, about a 20 minute walk but they were also closed. crap! i was about to call it a night when i just happened to peek into the window of rou yi xuan. it is part of the novotel atlantis hotel where i was staying. immediately a guy called me in and i went to check it out. full body massage for 380 was on the menu. sure, what the hell. i was shown upstairs to the locker / shower room and given the cotton pj's. no choice of girls. there was one waiting when i was escorted to the massage room. she was ok looking. a little older than i'd prefer but passable. she gave a decent legit massage, then offered to get naked for a 200 tip. full roaming was allowed. she licked my nipples and gave me a very nice hand release, followed by a 15. 20 minute facial massage, then a second hand release. i'd have to say not a bad deal overall, but not sauna quality girls and no chance to choose. they will also send girls up to your room for 500 / hour if you're staying in the novotel. perhaps more happens when they come to your room but i didn't try.

day 3. si yuan (merrilyn)

finally i walked over to the merrilyn hotel and was pleased to see it was open. same deal here as has been widely reported. 880 fee for the complete package including nuru. the one bummer was that the manager said they were "very busy" and didn't have enough girls for the fishbowl. i was a little disappointed because the fishbowl to me is like being a kid in a candy store. one of the sauna experiences i really enjoy. no worries, she set me up with a 25-year old hottie who spoke a little bit of english and all was well.

overall a good week. i don't know how long merrilyn will be able to hang on though. i hope they're still around on my next visit.

I have been a returning customer to some BBS for years now, I know all the girls in the shops and fuck each of them more than once, the boss know me quite of well too. The line up is pretty much the same as 2 years ago.

I have strong wechat / sms relation with them and I am used to take out some of them to my place. But it was after at least a year of "relationship". Just back, pretty much same old shanghai. I was worried about all the noise in other places, but saw little that was different. Granted I tend to just do the HE MPs. Manhattans was a hopping as ever. I had 3 Viet girls offer to come home with me and not leave until I did all three of them. I did not take them up on it. Their starting price was 1000 RMB each. Or 3000 for the 3.

The prices in my list are more or less the same as 880 of Hailang so it must be a good choice as well, nevertheless your report is very helpful but it is rather old.

Based on shanghai-nightlife-guide, The Surf Club also provides Red Rope and Nuru Massage. However for me the most important factors are privacy, then cleanness (that I hope comes with luxury) , then quality, thus I think Tang Dynasty and 1066 are the best matches.

So in your valuable opinion is Hailang similar to Tang Dynasty and 1066 for me?

And what is the best time to go to sauna?

Here is the first of many adventures I had over the last 2 weeks in Shanghai. I will post them all but if I do them together, it will be too long. So anyway, here goes. I was concerned with all the crackdown information but it seems that has not seemed to reach Shanghai.

I arrived at Beijing Lu and was offered "Anmo?" I went upstairs and they sent me a 29-32 year old. She had at least a B-Cup and was well rounded for a Chinese girl. I would give her a 8+. She was definately not fat but a really good body. She immediately welcomed me like her BF. She gave me a hug and pushed my face into her breasts. The massage was good. When I flipped, she stroked the little guy and let me kiss her chest. There was no ask for a tip. I motioned I wanted to screw the titties. Com with no problem (and I was staying in a dorm at a government university). However, this can always change in an instant at the whim of the (communist) Chinese government.

Hailang Spa was included in shanghai-nightlife-guide. Com two years ago, not sure why it's not on that web site anymore. Maybe another member knows why?

Yes, I feel that Hailang is similar to Tang Dynasty and 1066. Hailang may be even more private than those other two sites, and it's certainly clean with quality girls to choose from.

Best time? Depends on who you ask. Some guys like to go to a place when it first opens for the day, with the idea that the girls are fresh. Others like to go mid-to-late afternoon, once the girls have woken up fully, while some others enjoy being the girl's last (only?) customer of the day. If you arrive later in the evening, some of the girls may not be available, or may be too tired to perform. Early evenings is a good time but the spa might be busy, but that depends on what night of the week it is. As always, YMMV.

Sure he offers a lot of advice but a lot of it is not what someone who knows their way around Shanghai would go for. It tends to be commercial and more expensive. You can do better but you have to hunt for it a bit.

Unfortunately, I am not the one who knows his way around Shanghai because I have never been there and I have only one night so there is no time even to try learning my way.

Overpriced, maybe and I know that. IMHO paying a little bit more and be happy is much better to pay a little less and increase the risk of disappointment.

Criticizing Shanghai Guide is something and providing useful information is something else.

Mighty Spearsman suggestion about Hailang is something that I appreciate and go for, and besides shanghai. Happymassage. Com / massage-yellow-pages / massage-places / and Shanghai Guide site, where else can I find location map of saunas to decide and plan where to go and when to go.

I value any additional suggestion for example about Lotus sauna at Ambassador Hotel which has a good website.

Hailang is opened at least 6 years now, so the facility is not new, compared with the other more "shabby" and they don`t have the "special construction" for avoid customers to be catched with "trouser down". Tang Dynasty opened around 6 month ago, so the facility is new and they have a lot of "borders" to protect the customers. For example you can not get access to the sauna floor without they call the elevator. Inside they have "hidden doors" to the "session rooms", so nearly impossible that anyone can find you in a raid fast enough to avoid you leave the sauna incognito. Both Saunas (1066 and Tang Dynasty) provide lockers in the "session room", so no public shower or public undressing or "group shower". If privacy is important for you, than both should be better than Hailang. But 1066 most time have less girls selection than Jun Hao or Tang Dynasty, so if a big selection is important for you, than better go to Tang Dynasty or Hai Lang. There is another Sauna you can check out if selection is most important point: Hong Song Sauna. They are famous for a huge selection of top girls, but the rate is higher (980 for 60 minutes) and it is said, that the service is very mechanical sometimes.
