Not really, it's not a problem unless you make it one. , In fact the not so girl friendly hotels are the minority not the other way around. And most of them won't even turn you down they'll just apply a joiner fee for the WG and that's it. The second option is slightly expensive but gives you flexibility to cancel it at last moment. If you are regularly booking through them they will not charge even if you have missed the deadline to cancel. You pay only when you check-in by credit card or cash.

Therefore registration of a girl under my hotel room no is definitely not a good idea since I do not want to leave the evidence of having broken this crazy law and probably getting in the best case a record in the files of the LE or in the worst case getting prosecuted. But I think each one of us has to decide what is green or red for himself and how willing to take a risk one is.

You are not breaking any law. Registering a girls or any guest staying in the hotel is for your safety and it is mandatory hotel policy. If you want to take her without registering is your choice. There are many hotels like Marquis or Meridien at airport with large lobby where you can sneak your girl in. I did it many times with my girlfriends whom I don't want to register to protect her privacy. Hotels in Dubai have became more liberal.

These days if a hotel tries to limit your unregistered guests its probably because they want to run a family friendly property, that's all.

According to the new laws, unmarried couple can stay in hotel / apartment, even getting pregnant (out of wedlock) is not punished by law.

I am thinking of doing a few days towards the end of May in Dubai. I normally stay at the Burjuman Arjaan by Rotana. Dubai.
But would like to upgrade to something nicer, ideally with a walk in shower for two or a larger sized tub for two.
Any recommendations or ideas appreciated.
