What's up with the Employment Notices in the Newspaper?
It's all in the Labor Code, copies of which are readily available. Everything I said in my post is, in fact, the law.
With regard to the Philippine Labor Code, I have noticed in the Philippine newspapers that there are a lot of quarter page ads full of employers making public notice that "So and So" former employee no longer works here at this company. I figured it was likely a CYA type of measure by the former employer in case said former employee was out trying to defraud or steal previous customers. Is this something employers are required to do, or only do if the employee has been stealing or defrauding, or it is simply a generic CYA measure?
Just curious. Thanks.
