Belki's: Went to Belki's the first and last day in Sosua (because of recommendations on ISG). The first day Belki was not there; she was at home spending the holiday with family. A frizzy haired dark skinned girl yanked me in and told me it was 300p for 1/2 hour massage, and 600p for an hour. I was traveled out and went for the hour massage. She had great hands and I about pass-out during the massage. At the end, she asked about a blow or hand job, and I asked how much, and she replied 300 for BJ and 200 for HJ, and I did the combo for 300 (because it turned out to be a combo anyway). Her mouth was good, but her hand was better; so be it.

The last day, my flight was not until 4 (AA sucks BTW) , so I decided to seek out the lady that owned this place. I asked the frizzy haired dark skinned girl if Belki was there, and her said she was in the next room, the salon. I walked in the salon, and there were 3 ladies in the place and I asked,"Belki?" CMP. Went there late Friday afternoon and it was at the tail end of a pool party. The inside was dead, and the outside ladies seemed to be already paired up with dudes at the tables. Juicy Lucy was not in sight, so I bailed and did not return.

La Passion. After I left CMP, I walked down to La Passion. I thought the place had a good selection of ladies and I decided to sit down next to one of the poles next to the bar (the poles always have action, IMHO). In a matter of no time, one hot lady took to the pole. Her mug was nothing to write home about, but her body, especially her ass was to die for. I have watched many women work a pole before, but the way this sweetie worked her ass in combination with the pole almost made me become religious,"almost" is the key word here. And yes, I was that impressed, I tipped her.

Clubs & Bars:

Merengue. I stopped there every night about 11 or so, and there were plenty of chicas available. There are no more tables on the sidewalk (it seemed only El Flow has them) , but a lot more women than I expected. I got attacked from behind, it turned out to be "Skinny" for the Chunky & Skinny duo in November. Chunky was not in town; no big lost, she about killed me the last trip anyway. Grabbed Skinny and headed up to Classico.

Classico. The place was packed by 11 and it seemed like the male to female ratio was equal. Skinny only drank and danced for an hour; then she headed home (so she said). I talked to a few of the girls I met there in November and they were all asking 2500p for short time; some, but not many would drop to 2000p. So in that regard, it seemed the market has changed since the early December melt down.

Latino. Even though the tall frizzy hair psycho stalking bartender (TFHPSB) was still working there, this place was once again my favorite. When she saw me for the first time, her big ass made a dash for me; I thought we would both drop and roll for sure; no problem, the big bouncer had my back. For some reason, TFHPSB thought we were a couple once again and I did my best to explain how friendships work. After a couple of nervous moments and a bunch of Hennessey; she calmed down and was, or seemed OK when I brought women in there to dance. The last night, I brought in little Dancer (contact from last trip) and the TFHPSB was very nice to her. But in walked Skinny, who turned out to be little Dancer's friend, and she joined us. Beach action:

There has to be something said about hanging out and drinking at a beach that has a natural canopy of trees to block out the sun. Hung out with Herman, other mongers, Shrek, and Herman's ladies every afternoon while in town. On Saturday and Sunday, there was a good amount of ladies walking up and down the beach, some pros, others not; still a nice parade to watch. But, nothing like the parade I watched in November. The absence of Haitians was quite noticeable.

Herman's best quote: "I lost thousands of dollars during the rains, but now that you are here, I can make up most of that."

Daytime street action:

Not as much as before, but still somewhat of a selection. I was coming back from the beach on Sunday and needed more pesos and wanted to check on the score of the first game. I went to exchange money at the little place across of Rumba; rate was 37 on Friday, and 36. 5 on Sunday. I was planning to go to Rumba to check out the game, but before I crossed the street, two pretty ladies came walking by and stopped to say Hello. One was light skinned and the other was quite darker; which I like anyway. After drinking most of the day with Herman, their names are lost in space. One of them asked if I could buy her a Cola Cola, I saw no harm in this so I told both of them they could join me once I found a place to watch the game.

We ended up at Rocky's and the place was basically dead; however, there was a huge projection screen with a great picture of the game with great sound to boot. We sat down at one of the long plastic tables, girl at each side. I asked them if they were hungry and they smiled and said a little. We ordered up some cheeseburgers (were good as well) and enjoyed the rest of the first game. Then they mentioned happy hour and I had nothing planned except meeting little Dancer at 10, and there was still time between games; so off we went to the NG. No hassles and they both had a nice pair of hands and others goodies to go with the rest of their bodies.

Food:

Morua Mia. Excellent and this time I had the banana flambé as well; really good food.

La Roca. Very good food, but the buffet did not look worth the price.

Bailey's. I walked by this place several times and it always seemed crowded. Decided to try it for dinner; food was average at best.

Especial Dades (pizza place). Got two slices to go and shared them with Marlene at the NG, we both thought that both slices sucked!

Di Colores. Had lunch there the day I left and had the best pasta dish of the trip; will return.

Rockey's. Had some burgers with some ladies there, they were good. I returned the last day for some ribs for lunch; but they were out of ribs, WTF?

La Finca. Walked by this place at least a dozen+ times between the two trips, I never see any customers in the place. Any info on this place?

Final thoughts and tidbits:

The biggest change that I saw, besides not seeing any Haitians walking on the beach, was there is no more shooting fish in the barrel in Sousa. Daytime street and beach action is limited, but still available, but for a higher price. The ladies seem to have more options. Same goes for the evenings, the ladies seemed to be waiting for that 2500p, instead of grabbing up two guys at a cheaper price, but end up with more money.

The place is still quite active and I will return, just not sure when (still recovering at this point). And I would urge other mongers (new and older) , to come out to check out the place as it is now. Even with the reduced chica population and them asking for higher prices, I still think that it is a bargain when compare to Costa Rica, Brazil, and Columbia. Don't jump up on my ass, it is just IMHO.

Finally, my incoherent conversation with the Customs Officer in Miami:

Him: What's your occupation?

I answered.

Him: Where are you coming from?

Me: I went completely blank! I replied,"Give me a second or two on that one."

Him: He smiled and replied,"Had a great time, huh?"

Me: Indeed, (pause) and I'm coming from the Dominican Republic.

[/QUOTE]Belki's: If you go right when you leave the New Garden, you will come to a 4 way intersection. Just cross the road going the same direction like you are headed to the Waterfront Restaurant. As soon as you cross the road, you will see Belki's Salon on the right. Usually there are girls that will reach out and try to pull you in; have fun.

I went to the gasoline station and asked a cabbie the cost from Sosua to Cabarete. He quoted me DOP 200 to just take me. I walked away looking at the guy as if he was crazy. Another cabbie pulled me over and charged me DOP 15. I just had to tolerate being in the 'carrito' with six other people. Well, it was DOP 15 to Cabarete and 20 for the trip back. As I was returning to Sosua two older women were talking, in somewhat of a surprised voice, how an American woman had paid about $20-$30 for a trip to Sosua. I guess the Dominicanas did not understand that this was probably the average price, if not a bit chearper, that a person in the states would pay for the same distance (where I live this is actually on the cheap side). When I returned to the Europa and mentioned to Diego and the secretary how much I paid they were both quite surprised.

I have learned that if I need to know the price of the carrito I just ask a local who is waiting for one. If you ask the taxi driver he will always quote you a higher number. Also, I never accept the first price quoted to me by the taxi driver, since he will always overcharge me.
