I didn't stay there. No discount, not even an extra prawn! Honest...

I've stayed at LL in the past when visiting Bangkok, but it's been awhile as I've had a place here for some time now. Nevertheless, I've enjoyed the company of Sports Bar ladies from time to time.

I think they still offer an ISG discount, but you'd have to check with them about the specifics.

You are not quite right.
From memory, the discount comes from making an ISG post about any experience in Thailand. Doesn't have to mention LL at all.

They (Giotto or Auntie Guido) do like to verify the person really did make a post, so you would lose anonymity. New members on forum would need to post well in advance of check out.

In reality, it is just an artificial hurdle for getting a discount without all customers being aware of the possibility, and has an aim to get more people to post something preferably with some information promoting something about Thailand.

Most people who use internet can get a discount some how at most hotels. But unknowledgable people may end up paying higher. It will never be a level playing field for everyone to get the same deal.

I can't believe this topic is going on so long in this thread, but rabbits at one time were considered rodents. But rabbits didn't really fit in Order Rodentia, a key difference is that rabbits don't hold their food in their front paws like all rodents do. The capybara is the largest rodent.

Several rules (for me at least):
Put as much in the safe as you can - including laptop, ipod and phone (turn it off). I carry a monger fold with just enough money for the deal and keep it out, usually in the draw with condoms, lub, oil, handcuffs and other toys.

Don't pay up front.

This is a report on my 10 day visit to Bangkok and Pattaya in late September.

This is my 3rd visit to Thailand this year. I was in BKK for 6 days and Pattaya for 4. I'll try to report on Pattay soon.

I stayed at the Citadines 11 for 1500THB a night booked through Agoda. This is the best deal I've had for a decent hotel in a great location. I normally stay at the Dynasty Grande, which is also an excellent hotel, but IMO it's just not good value at 2500THB/night. I find it hard to justify 60EUR/night for a hotel in a place like Bangkok. Citadines 11 is still going for 1500 a night and i'd really recommend it.

Massages
I visited Tulip, Mango and Akane Fashion.

Tulip. I went here twice. First time with Jaow (I think). Looks, 4/10, performance 9/10. Second time was a home delivery with Nice. Looks 3/10, performance 9/10.
The girls at Tulip are trained to a very high standard. You will consistently receive excellent service here. I am an experienced monger and I have not received the level of service and the consistentcy that Tulip offers anywhere else in the world. Really.
BUT, and it doesn't get mentioned nearly enough on this board, the girls are ugly. Really. 3s and 4s in my opnion and I think the average is dropping since my first visit last year. How people on this board can recommend Nice and not mention how ugly she is is beyond me. Great service, but U.G.L.Y.

For this reason I gave up on Tulip and paid my first visit to Mangos. Mangos is the New Tulip. It is now for me the best sex massage destination in Bangkok. As has been reported on this board before, Mangoes was setup by Nestle, a Tulip alumni. The level of service, therefore, is very high. Not quite Tulp standards as the place, and girls, are still new but still very high. But where Mangos excels is in the quality of the girls and place itself. I visited twice. First time was with a girl whose name I've forgotten. Second time with Ann, who's much better looking in realilty than the photos. Looks 7/10, service 8/10.

I also visited Akane Fashion Massage in Soi 33. This is a very presentable place that caters to Farang and Japanese customers but it isn't worth it in my opinion. The girls are lovely, but they're not offering FS and the BJs are covered.

Freelancers.
This is my favourite category. I visited: Beergarden, Gullivers, Climax (was Spice Club) and Spicys. All of these places, IMO, have improved since my last visit both in terms of quantity and quality. Beergarden would be a much nicer place if they put some damn air conditioners in there, but still it's packed from opening to closing time. 90% mingers, but the 10% are worth the visit. Gullivers has a lower minger rate, thank god, but the numbers are lower and its a much more mixed crowd but at least it has air conditioning. Of the nightclubs, Climax is much more the pick-up joint than Spicys. Both are very decent though.

Conclusions: despite visiting Thailand 3 times already this year, I have big reservations about the place as a mongering destination. There's no doubt that Thailand's biggest asset for us mongers is quantity. You are overwhelmed with options: beer bars, massage shops, freelancers, clubs, soapies etc. But Thai girls just don't do it for me: they're subservient and have no game. Very rare is the PSE here and there's just no comparison between a Thai girl and a Latina in the sack.

Still, the quantity can make up for this and can allow you to pick the star performers from the crowds. To do this, however, you'll need time. Those that live in Thailand are in the best situation being able to slowly compile their lists of star performers. For the short time visitor though, it's harder as the % of star performers is much lower than in South America, for example. I'm not giving up on Thailand yet...I hope to stay there for a month later in the year and practice my theory.

One other thing about Thai girls: they're incredible clingy. Give them your number and you're theirs. I've learned to introduce a few get-outs in my early conversations, such as I'm here on business ( a lie) so that I can make my excuses later.

Not saying she is a pin-up girl, but I would certainly never describe her as ugly:

1. of unpleasant or unsightly appearance
2. repulsive, objectionable, or displeasing in any way

Took her for a bite to eat once after a take-out. She was smartly dressed, and looked, well, quite attractive with her spiky hair. :) Anyway, let's not have a debate on whether she is a 3/10 or a 7/10, but agree that beauty is pretty subjective.

(Actually, I'm not really that bothered about facial appearance - much more concerned about physique. Recently picked up a lovely girl from AngelWitch, fantastic time, and it was only on looking at my photos of her without her make-up that I remembered how plain she was. Still had a great time though :))

But I am in complete agreement with you about Citadines Soi 11.
