If you travel, get a tourist SIM, the are usually active for 6-9 months. I used to do this for 3-4 years before Covid, good thing is also number changes with every trip.

Now I have a Skype number, you have to take a monthly subscription. Text msgs are allowed, so it works for Tinder and other dating apps that need phone number. I have a separate device for that. Do not do dual sim, etc. On one phone.

Been good so far. Plan to cancel it as soon as travel opens up.

Looks like your card is not enabled for International Transactions (by default it is disabled). Try to activate it online by using net banking.

I don't see any thing which should stop you to do the transaction, call customer care (if you don't have net banking) from your registered number and tell them to enable it for international transactions.
